I have had the version with the similar insulation/windblock on the upper chest and love it. Snagged one of these as soon as I saw it. Perfect as is but if you made one with a bit of a drop tail and back pockets you would have the best winter bike jersey/XC ski training top out there. I'd buy a couple :)

Great layer for cold days or by itself on cool days. Rich color and quality materials. Chest pocket perfect dor phone storage.

This is a great jacket. In fact, I have two of them. It's perfect on its own during early spring/late fall, as well as during mild winter weather. I also layer it under a down jacket when it's really cold out. In addition, it's about perfect for cool/cold weather exercising. I wear mine over a long sleeve tech base layer and use it for running. For my running application, it works best below 50 degrees.

The fit is perfect for me and it is amazingly warm for being so light.

An excellent combination of base layer and vest. I use it under my ski shell and it's a great non bulky layer of wool.

I absolutely love this smartloft jacket- it's perfect for my purpose! It's comfy, light, and of course snug. It's the best mid layer I've found for snow sports. I wear it on top of my base layer but underneath my jacket. I liked it so much I got a second one in different color. The wool filling in the central portion also provides enough insulation to keep you warm on a frigid winter day. If you're looking for a great mid layer, look no further.

I've worn this jacket nearly every day since I received it. I love it! It has the perfect amount of warmth for our winter weather in Asheville, NC...and it works great with my other Smartwool base layers.

This is a great jacket with lots of range for wear. It works well for casual wear during a cooler fall day but can also be used on the coldest days as a running jacket. I ran with this during a negative windchill and stayed warm. The DWR chest is great. The sleeves are plenty long and have little thumb holes to help keep your hands a little warmer. #SmartWoolLove

What is the ultimate test for the Smartloft Jacket? My answer would be - Winter Running, skinning, XC Skiing, or any equivalent high-intensity, cold-weather activity. This is the first Winter that I've been running a lot, and I realized how difficult layering can be. In Temps down to the low 20's I've been Going for runs with a Smartwool Baselayer and this jacket = a game-changer for me! It has extra warmth in the front and breathability in all the places you sweat the most - back and underarms. The jacket is ultra-comfortable, fits perfectly, looks nice, and REALLY breathes when you need it to. I'll never go back to any other layer - both Mid or Outer Layer. #SmartwoolLove

This jacket is a comfortable, easy-to-wear base layer, or even a light jacket as outerwear. I love the thumb holes in the sleeves, makes it easy to pull the sleeves through another jacket if it's too cold for just this one. And it's easy to layer over - the body of the jacket, and the sleeves, are fairly tight-fitting, so not bulky under another garmet.

I have a few of these now. Had to get a few of the colors since this is my everyday piece. I wear it in any cool weather regardless of my activity. It's on me rock climbing spring, fall as an out layer. Insulating layer under and she'll in the winter for ice climbing and hiking. I'm wearing it at work right now too. I do hope someday Smartwool will make the same layer in a slim fit and with out the hand warmer pockets. #SmartwoolLove

So far, I've only been on one hike with it, but I've worn it around the cold garage as well. It's incredibly comfortable. #smartwoollove

We have Christmas gift themes. This year is SMARTWOOL and pickle ball. All family members received a Smartwool jacket, Smartwool socks and a pickle ball paddle!!! Loved by all. #smartwool

This is a great under coat for the winter months, wasn't the exact colors I wanted but wears all the same. Winter blows this layer makes it a little more enjoyable.
