My last beloved pair lasted 30 years. The new pair will last longer than me. Some one will then have a great pair of moccasins! Bob

I love these shoes--but I ordered my normal size, and had to return them for a half size smaller--and even that is plenty big for a handsewn leather shoe that will stretch. If in doubt, buy smaller! Had a pair of these in college and wore them into the ground--can't wait to do the same with this pair.

Very comfortable, not too hot either. The only problem is they run very large. I wear an 11 wide in Sperry and 11.5W in athletic shoes and a 10.5 W was too big for this shoe. The width was fine but it was too long.

Wore these to a high Sierra 10,000' car camp last week. Perfect for everything but the 5 mile walk around 20 Lakes Basin. I landed a nice rainbow wearing them, too. They are easy kick off & step into for tent access. I had to adjust the insole, though, as the leather had stretched out from heavy wearing before the trip; so the current set-up is the thin Bean insole inserted over a running show insole. Other than a flip-flop, these are about as basic as a good shoe can get. Buy 'em & you can truly wear 'em.

I had an old pair of this style of LL Bean moccasins which were 12 years old. I wore them in all conditions and they held up beautifully. However, I had some trouble finding a Bean replacement until recently. I've had the new pair for about a month and I'm giving them a good workout. The new moccasins are every bit as good as the originals! LL Bean continues to amaze!

These are the most comfortable loafers I have ever owned. There is usually a break-in period with shoes before they get comfortable. A period where my feet hurt a little until the shoe forms to my foot. NOT with these. They were comfortable from day one. I will never bother buying shoes from any other company. Every time I buy a pair of shoes from Bean they are great and they last. I am sure these will too. They seem very well constructed. I am not wasting my time with other shoe companies anymore, I am just going straight to Bean.

Haven't taken them off since received a week ago. Quality leather and comfortable. Normally wear 10, dropped down to 9 1/2 based on reviews. Fit perfectly. Customer Service is fabulous. Have dealt with them for decades.

I have been wearing these shoes for many years. They are my all around knockabout shoes. They are always next to my front door ready to slip on and go just about anywhere. I wear these shoes more often than all the rest of my shoes combined. In spite of how much I wear these shoes, they still last several years. Then I just order another pair. One time I decided to try something different and ordered a pair of bison leather slip ons. I was very disappointed in how stiff the bison leather was and went right back to these moccasins. They are the most comfortable shoes ever and they are so easy to slip on and off.

It's a great moccasin. Highly durable. Wish that LL Bean would resole as the upper is still in very good condition.

I cannot believe how much shoe you get for the price. I own shoes that cost 3x as much without the same fit and quality. They were a bit stiff in the toe initially but after 6 hours trodding the boardwalk at the Jersy shore they broke in perfectly. This is my second pair of Bean shoes - loafers are next on the list.

I've been wearing Camp Mocs for 40 years and have enjoyed each pair. The last pair laster eight years! To keep the laces tied, treat with a leather conditioner or shoe polish.

These are great moccasins - quality leathers and construction. You just have to get the sizing right. I am a 12D across the board in shoes and boots, including Bean's Grand Lake Moccasin. However, I wear a 10 1/2 D in this Camp Moc. Originally, I ordered an 11D after reading reviews, but they were too large. A very reasonable exchange period followed, and L. L. Bean was prompt to supply my correct size. Perhaps they were a little tight at first, but soon conformed as indicated by the product description. Having that correct size has been key to this moc's performance.

I have had these moccasins since LL Bean sold them in narrow widths (B width). I have a newer pair too that is regular width. The narrow ones just fit my feet better. The newer ones seem about a half size large so keep that in mind when ordering. For the money, these are the best moccasins for the money. Other brands (compare to Quoddy "Canoe Shoe") are similar but not as good of a value. The Quoddy Canoe Shoe is $220. The LL Bean camp moc is $70. I am not saying LL Bean camp mocs are as nice, but they are 1/3 less money and almost as nice. They last around 10 years depending on use. I use mine around the house, on errands, and doing smaller yard work projects. I always have 2 pair, one for chores, and the other for going to town.

These shoes are absolutely wonderful, that is, once you find the right size. The leather is thick and sturdy, and the cactus color looks really great. I've seen both versions, and the cactus color appeals to me much more, it is a little more casual and toned down. Regarding the fit, I usually wear a 9 or 9.5, but with these shoes, I'm wearing an 8. I did, however, take out the insoles as I find the shoes much more comfortable without the insoles. I also got them in wide, as the regular version is very narrow and tight. To sum up the sizing, unless you have narrow feet or like tight toe-boxes, I'd recommend buying a half to full size down and getting it in wide.

For 69.00 bucks you'll get a great shoe. If your anything like me & read any/all reviews on a product before purchase, you've probably noticed that many are overwhelmingly in favor of this moc. I concur. And I would also like to support the general consensus that the shoe runs a bit big. Before ordering I hummed and I hawed and finally rolled the dice on a size half a size smaller of what I normally wear. Well, after putting them on I smiled like a champ at my decision to consider the reviews (who said men don't ask for directions) before ordering. They're spot on. Had I ordered my true size they'd be helping the postal workers keep their jobs by processing my return. And speaking of shipping, consider this scenario: I ordered on 21 March, the postmark was 22 March and I received them on 29 March. Big deal you say? I live in Japan! Okinawa to be specific. And for the last 6 hours I've been putting Camp Moc sole prints on this island, without socks, and they feel like I've been wearing them for 6 months.

Having owned 5 pairs of Camp Mocs over the years, I am very disappointed that you have dropped the narrow (B) width. Thank goodness for Sperry Topsiders !

I had been looking for casual slip on shoe like this moc forever. Didn't want something that looked like an old man would wear. And I wanted something that would last. Finally found these and originally ordered a 9.5 medium width. Loved the look and feel but they seemed too big. Ordered the 9 medium which is what I'm going to go with. The length is perfect but they're a bit tight in the forefoot. Hopefully they break in a bit. If they do, should be able to wear barefoot or with socks. For reference, I usually wear 10.5 in lace up shoes and sneakers and 9.5 in slip on dress shoes. So these are a size and half smaller than usual. I also think the price is great for a shoe that will last for years.

Great moccasins by quality. I've had 2 pairs I wore for years before they died. The sizing appears to have changed over the years however. I wear an 11 1/2E-12 1/2 E in all other shoes. The 11 1/2EE I ordered first was huge (felt like a 13). I then went down to 11EE and it's still larger than most. I probably need to go down still to a 10 1/2EE which I haven't worn for 30 years. I would suggest ordering a full size lower than what you normally wear
