My sister suffered terribly from plantar fasciitis. It was hard for her to walk at times. I bought a pair of these sandals for her. The arch support gave her great relief. She was able to walk her beloved dogs once again. Upon hearing how well the sandals helped, I immediately ordered another pair for her. She doesn't complain of having pain from the condition anymore, thank goodness.

I took this sandal to Italy where I walked between 14,000 and 21,000 steps in a day, and my feet were never sore! I use another pair for walking with leg and arm weights for my fitness routine 3 - 4 times a week, and again, my feet are never sore! Thank you LL Bean for making products for ACTIVE people like me!

I wear a 9M dress shoe and a 9 1/2 sneaker, and this sandal, in 9M fits me well. I think someone with a slightly longer and/or slightly wider foot would feel comfortable in this sandal, too. Nice, cushioned insole. No rubbing from any of the straps. Good traction. My two older pair are more than 7 years old, and both have seen a lot of use and a lot of walked miles. Their noticeable wear points are the sole (hardly a surprise) and the velcro, which now doesn't hold as well. All were purchased on sale. Totally fabulous value.

Nice, cushy sole and the top straps do not rub my toes in any weird way. Very flexible and stable. Great purchase.

These sandals are comfortable, stylish (lots of compliments), and the color (navy and white) goes with so many things.

Durable and comfortable. Like walking on clouds! The only improvement would be to offer narrow sizes.

I received my sandals today and I'm so pleased. This is my second pair. My first pair I purchased in 2014 and they are fabulous. The pair I received today is perfect. I have flat feet and I don't need arch support. I also have arthritis and my ankles swell constantly. These sandals are completely adjustable. I love these sandals, however I do wish LL Bean had them in more colors. Thank you.

The most comfortable shoes I have ever had for kayaking.

These sandals rock! They look great with shorts, capris, or a sundress, but more importantly, they fit perfectly and are super comfortable. I wear them every day (I have one pair in black and another in dark cement). Being a victim of flat feet, it's hard for me to find sandals that I can wear extensively, so these are a godsend. My only complaint is that LL Bean currently only offers them in three colors. I would buy more if they came in gray, olive, or other hues.

This my second pair of the black Boothbay sandals. The first pair was purchased more than 6 years ago, still usable except the velcro is getting worn out and doesn't always stick. The soles of the new pair are more cushiony than the old pair, maybe because the old ones have hardened up. They are very comfortable and I look forward to many more years of wearing them. Delivery date was as estimated at website checkout.

The absolute best sandals I've ever worn! So cushy and comfortable. My foot is wide and these are amazing and dont rub my toes at all which is the problem I have with most sandals but these do not! Definitely recommend!

I have a wide foot and the adjustable straps were perfect. I wear either an 8 or an 8.5 and the 8 was good. The sole provides comfort and support. Good quality for the money.

I can't wear thong sandals so I tried these. They are super comfortable and I was able to walk long distances in them. And a very attractive color.

After reading reviews of these sandals, I decided to order a pair and they are as comfortable as the reviews stated. There is some arch support but the best part is the incredibly comfortable foot bed. I have worn them nonstop since I received them and ordered another pair in navy. I plan on taking them to Europe as my main walking shoe. I've spared no expense with my walking shoes and am happy to find these at a most reasonable price. Add a sale and bean bucks and the price is even better.

Bought a replacement pair, as I've had this same black sandal for 5+ years. Have worn them for water sports as well as with shorts and pants touring all through Europe and the U.S. I ordered the same size 8 and they fit perfectly. Straps are adjustable if you need a little wider. I've got bunions, and these are the perfect sandal for me.

They never change year after year. Always fit and look good.

Love this sandals! I have them in three colors. They are comfortable from the first wearing and I love that you can adjust them three ways as needed.

This is my third pair of these sandals. They provide room for a bunion on my little toe as well as a good cushion under my feet. I wear them when I take my regular two-mile walks on the neighborhood sidewalks. I can adjust them easily to accommodate thick or thin or no socks.

considering all the other brands similar to this style; these are a very good price and are as comfortable.

This is my third pair of LL Bean sandals. I can't say enough good about them. I'm still wearing ones from 3 years ago. I need the support that they offer and since I have a somewhat narrow foot, the velcro makes the fit perfect. I ordered the black in an 8 which is the size of my other sandals from LL Bean although I normally wear an 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I would love to see other colors offered.

I got these for a birthday gift in 2013--nearly 6 years ago. They have been with me all over the world, and I would guess that we have tread close to a thousand miles together (I know just in ONE location I did 100 miles in a month). So, why write this all these years later? I am writing a review NOW to attest to their longevity AND because of a sad event. While out on a walk the other day...sniff...sniff...the fifth strap back on the right sandal came out. Yep, pulled out from the sole. However, since there are SIX straps connected on each of the two sides of each sandal, it wasn't readily apparent that such a calamity had occurred. I just happened to be taking a photo, looked down, and noticed one foot was sitting differently in the sandal. No problem getting all the way back from my walk (of course I was about at the end), but, as I am getting ready to head to Japan I am now down one pair of sandals... ANYWAY, if you are looking for a sandal that is great for contracting and expanding along with your feet (as when flying/getting off a plane), is comfortable, functional, fairly nice to look at AND durable, well, look no further!

We use our modular kayak lots in the summer because we live in lake community. These are great to wear when kayaking. The fit is not perfect for me because I wear a 9.5N and nobody seems to make these kind of sandals in my size. But because this has Velcro closures, It's workable. But this has been the story of my life...few selections in my size. So, workable is sometimes all I can get. Perfect for me only comes in 9.5N...and the selection in any shoe is limited. Only certain companies make those. This sandal would be perfect in 9.5N. But it's doable in 10M.

I have been searching for 10+ years for a comfortable walking sandal. I needed a replacement for my 15-year-old, top-of-the-line (brand with 4-letters, name of dinosaur) sandals that are no longer made... and whose company's sandals have really dropped in quality. I looked at every brand, every store and tried on every sporty sandal. On Cape Cod, I tried on this sandal, but in size 11 (their last one left) and I could tell by the cushion and arch support built into the sole that they would be comfortable. The store found stock across the country, so I bought the navy and white. They look nautical and classic. I am usually a 7 1/2, but bought the size 8 due to short supply. They are true to size 8, yet still fit, because I can pull tight the velcro straps. I took a chance and bought a second pair right there on the spot, with the help of the store representative. They are like walking on marshmallows! I am so glad that I bought two pairs for two different locations. I can walk for hours in them. Perfect for running errands and active days.

I saw a woman wearing them and without even knowing they were made by Bean, I thought, "What a great shoe." Then I noticed the little Bean logo on the side and rushed home to order them. While I wanted the sage color I had seen, Bean said that color had not been sold in a few years. I was surprised because the woman's shoe had looked new. I ordered black and must say, I am glad I did. They are even more beautiful. The easily adjustable Velcro straps help tailor the shoe to your particular foot shape. The arch support is wonderful. At the end of the day, my feet are rested, not tired and blistered.
