I bought a pair of these two years ago and still wear them, but they are getting very worn out. I have loved that pair. I was so excited when I saw you had them this year. This pair are not soft at all like my first. They are extremely stiff. There is a little piece sewn inside the back strap to go behind your heel for comfort. It is too thick on these sandals that it makes it uncomfortable.Last time I had ordered a 10M and decided to go with an 11M this time. The right one is too short. One sandal is bigger than the other. I have been shopping with LLBean for a very long time. It is very rare that i need to return something, and unheard of that I am this disappointed in a product.

So disappointed with L.L.Bean's quality lately. Yesterday I returned a pair of trail shoes because of holes after owning them for less than 2 months. I decided to try these sandals. Was happy with the fit, style, and feel but when I took them off at the end of the day I saw that the foam footbed on the heel was torn. Its a pretty significant tear from very light use. So sad because I love L.L.Bean's style but I just can't pay good money for shoes that break and wear down in such little time.

These sandals seem to run a bit short. Also, the ridge that is supposed to fit between the toes and ball of the foot is positioned too far back from the front of the sandal, making for an awkward fit. My pair had the front straps attached in different positions on the left and right sandal, with one being at least a half inch further back from the front of the footbed than the other. Overall, very disappointing, and I had to send them back.

I'm giving this shoe a low rating because due to construction I'm unable to wear it. It's a cute shoe and fits well EXCEPT that like too many shoes with Velcro straps, the Velcro strips are not long enough. How difficult or expensive could it be to make them longer. As it is, in order to make the shoes tight enough the strap has to be pulled tighter causing it to stick out past the end of the bottom Velcro tab. This happens to me all the time and, as with so many shoes these days, there is not narrow option. Back they go.

I ordered these because of excellent reviews and was looking forward to receiving them, having been on back order. Surprisingly, I tried them on at home and though they were true to size, as I walked around in the house in them, felt a kind of bump on the inside on the back ankle strap which could not be adjusted in one area right on the back middle part of my ankle. I knew this could lead to a blister so sent them back the next day. Unfortunate. I don't know if it were a defect but did not want to try for another pair.
