Had to return the shoe as it was too wide. Had previously bought another NB sneaker at teh same size that fit perfectly.
I'd also recommend:

The 14 2E's with "Fresh Foam" that I ordered felt more like a 13D with old foam. I'm a big fan of New Balance, but this one is Dud!
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, North Face.

I have several other NB FRESH FOAM shoes in size 8, 4E. I ordered this pair of gortex shoes to have another pair. The shoes are MUCH narrower than my other NB shoes.

After wearing these shoes for one day I had to send them back. I have never had shoes make my feet hurt like these did. They absorbed impact well but the lack of any arch support caused issues. The other fresh foam NB shoes I have were much more comfortable.

The shoes fun small related to the size. Within a few months the adhesive rubber on the toe came loose and failed. The shoe fabric has worn out in 4 places in the toe area. The quality is not good! Not worth my money.

The foam was too soft at the front and its form lasted for the first two runs...

Keep getting emails for cyber Monday shoes are 25% off. However, it is not these shoes or any shows you would want. Typical

I have worn New Balance shoes for years, but these are the worst shoes ever. They do look great, but the lugs (tread) on the soles are so big that they push up through the foam and you feel them on the bottom of your feet. Pass on these.

Any sort of explanation why the Fresh Foam shoes (Fresh Foam X Hierro v7 GTX, 860 v11 and newer, 880 v11 and newer) run small (mostly width) compared to say the 840 v5 which is not in the Fresh Foam line? I literally have to order a full size up in anything within the Fresh Foam line (14 4E) to match the fit of the 840 v5 in a 13 4E. Sure would be helpful if you added something in the descriptions like you did years ago: "runs true to size", "runs small", "runs large" because the chart is no where near accurate. I've had to return three different shoes now because of the discrepancy in sizing so it'd benefit both your business and customers if you were more upfront about your sizing now that more and more of your shoes are Fresh Foam and it's obvious 4E width is not what it used to be before the influx of Fresh Foam shoes.

I've been meaning to say for years how much I dislike Fresh Foam! It is with great disdain that I see my favorite shoe brand continue to add this lacklustre foam into so many shoe lines. Perhaps it has it's place in purist road running shoes, where ones stride is longitudinal, but paring this foam with any other shoe in my opinion is just wrong. It provides zero horizontal movement stability, collapses under minimal pressure, and renders any type of interior arch support useless, as it collapses. I bought these shoes to go on some light trails, but even trying them out at home and running up and down stairs, they performed poorly for the aforementioned reasons. Having a wide foot, 4E, I almost entirely rely on NB for all my footwear. For a hiker I would much prefer they overhaul the 1400, one with a sole that is not slippery as all heck, like the current model, one that does use a midsole that is worthy of a hiker and can support ones foot as they traverse a hilltop.

I returned this. I like the concept of this shoe, though it offers no pronation or stability control. If New Balance updates this shoe as-is, but adds stability control similar to the 860 shoe, then I'll buy again.
