I was not expecting this after the sink in feeling of the More V3. These shoes felt firmer with a soft landing. The separated heal did provide extra stability. I slightly land inside on the right foot and had trouble with the Fuel Cell foams because of it. It turned out that with the fresh foam X and the heal it was really supportive. The outsole is probably one of the best out there! It was like having claws on my feet. I felt less of the rocker midsole than the v3, but there was a very slight rocker that kept me going through my strides. I would recommend this shoe for easy recovery miles. For me it's a bit to heavy for uptempo work. Overall, it's a good update and I'll be putting a few hundred more miles in these over the next few months.

I wear the shoes all the time, but really like the cushion the shoes provide for standing and walking. The shoes provide spring and cushion. Love the extra thick foam and the width of the shoe is spot on.

These shoes were bought for a senior citizen and the white soles were just too prominent for his liking. The shoes themselves were great other than that. He bought another style of New Balance, because they make great shoes for comfort and durability.

Replacement for my 1080s. Can't get what I use to get because I have to go with the 14 XWide (4E). Never enough choices. Black or black or maybe black is the only choice. Not as comfortable as 1080.

Feels a bit big/bulky when trying on but I would stay true to size as length is good. Tongue needs a gusset. Cushioning is fantastic not invincible level bounce but a softer landing. Favorite recovery shoe

I use as a daily shoe for comfort and looking good. A lifestyle shoe basically but it's so comfortable I wear it everyday especially taking the dog for the walks I just wish I didn't get white so i won't be so afraid to get them dirty I'll just have to buy me another pair I guess.

I have to stand for several hours because of my work. This is the most cushion I ever found in athletic shoes. I haven't tried running yet but I suspect I will get the same feel. Certainly not a race day shoe.

It's a true to fit, nice comfy shoe. I was looking for something that is comfortable for standing all day, this isn't it. But much better than my past shoes.

I walk 4 miles per day so I need a shoe that provides cushioning, which this shoe is. They are pretty expensive though.

I work in a DC setting walking all day on the concrete floor which by the end of my shift my feet hurt beyond belief, especially my heels. These are my first pair of New balance and they have helped with my feet pain more than expected, and more than I could ever ask for. After I combined them with compression socks, my feet are much happier. The only thing I don't like is the lack of color options.

Same cushioning as the V3s, but slightly more bounce given the split heel and rocker effect. More breathable and lighter feeling upper. Very stable given the width and despite the stack height. This is my first wear review and used it on elliptical trainer and treadmill. They feel like pillows on the upper and a slightly bouncy but stable stack on the soles. Really great shock absorption. Also, less 'tanky' feeling than the V3s, but I did not kind that with the V3s, which had a much thicker tongue. I love both tongues, but really like the minimalism of the V4 tongue, which still provides ample cushioning from the laces.

Suuuuuper cushy and stable. My foot however, seems to really b a bit inside where the flexible toe box meets the more structural side support. I have even tried a wider version than I normally wear. Maybe it will wear in after a while but it clearly was noticeable during longer runs. Other than that, I like the design and color selections. I went with blue. Highly recommend for those dealing with heel pain. Did I mention they were cushy?

The New Balance More V4 is so close to being the perfect shoe for me. I need soft max cushion shoes with a rocker just to be able to walk due to severe foot pain. The Good: super-soft midsole (second only to Nike Invincible Run) with a great rocker to help propel me forward. The foam feels a little dead to me, and I wish there was some bounce to it, but it's no worse than a Hoka Bondi. Considering how soft the midsole is, it's surprisingly stable, though not as stable as the Bondi. The Bad: The toe box height is extremely low, and I can barely fit my right foot past a sticking point where the insole curves upward. Once on, my foot is sandwiched between the upper and insole, constantly compressing my toes. There's a bit of stretch to the upper, so I can move my big toe a little, but it's still uncomfortable. My left foot is smaller and doesn't have the issue, so there's a decent chance you won't have any problems, but for me it's almost a deal breaker. And while the upper is generous width-wise, there's a structure to it that includes a more prominent arch, and may take some getting used to. I liked the very comfortable upper and plush tongue of the MoreV3. On the V4, the tongue is too short and falls back into the shoe, creating discomfort around the shoe collar. In summary, the New Balance More V4 does provide the plushness I need to caress the burning pads of my feet, toe discomfort and all; but I hope New Balance tweaks this shoe for a more comfortable experience in the next version.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka, Asics, Nike

Definitely a head to head battle between the 1080 FF and the fresh foam more. Great pair in rotation.

I would go with the 3V version if I could choose again. Mine feet are a bit on the wider side, but with V3, regular width was fine. With V4 had to go with a wider version instead of regular. V4's upper is not as comfortable as V3's. I can tell that V4 has more cushion/protection than V3, but I liked V3's softer ride.

To start off if your looking for comfortable look no further new balance shoes are not just comfortable they are diabetes friendly which are hard to come by I have tried the fresh foam v3 and went further with the fresh foam x more v4 which is a pleasure to wear comfort is unbelievable and one of the best shoes I ever come across may they create a fresh foam x more v5 one issue is the tongue could of had a better design hopefully that will be updated if they do go further

Had a few major ankle surgeries after an accident. Lots of metal in my foot. Swelling, pain, could only walk for maybe 100 feet for almost 2 years now. Bought this shoe at a local store and the next day I walked slowly for 2 hours with a few breaks. As one can imagine, I tried a lot.... so far, this is the only shoe I can comfortably walk in with minimal pain. Will never be able to run again, so cannot comment on that. So I am happy! However, only 4 stars because the heel produces a clack-clack noise on hard surfaces that is VERY annoying! Did I get a faulty shoe? Something wrong with the sole?? I don't know. If my feet were normal like before the accident, I would have returned them. But I keep them, so I can continue walking. But the noise whith every step bothers me for sure.

Never had a recovery shoe until the more v4, my god this shoe feels like heaven, only downside is a I get rubbing on the inside of my right foot from the sidewall, hoping that stops as it breaks in. It's an excellent shoe, highly recommend.

As a very casual runner (< 20km per week), these shoes have been great so far! Very enjoyable to run in. I went true to size - no hot spots or blisters out of the box. Docked a star because I wish the tongue was thinner. Darker colourways will be much appreciated :)

The thick soles are good, however, they are a little tight in my normal size. I would recommend a 1/2 size larger.
