Great product, this model as compared to others from NB was not as comfortable on same size. Had to order a half size larger for a good fit and comfort.

These 4Es are indeed wide, but have a narrow toe box, so they didn’t work for me. They seemed like they would be comfortable otherwise.

Walking and running.
I have been using New balance shoes for around 30 years. Normally I purchase the SL2 toe box and they were fine. Not sure what the latest shoes were and I do not seem to see NB using this Nomenclature in describing shoes.

The shoe is light and allows the foot to breathe and is ok for short hikes, however, it needs more padding at the top of the heel.
When taking a long hike it made my heel bleed so can"t give 5 stars.

I've purchased dozens of New Balance running shoes online. This is the first pair that was too small. I guess I was due.

The shoes price was good and it was very light weight, however, the comfort was not quite there for me, even though, my size is 11 and I purchase the 11.5 shoe size. It felt a bet tight around arch and there wasn't any option to select wide version of it.

I took the advice on here to go up a half size and I should not have. Arches are a little high but when I put in an insert I was peachy keen

The size was off. One shoe is too big while the other the right size and about a size bigger than normal.

Appeared to be a well constructed shoe, but I couldn't put them to the test. Unfortunately in standard width (D) they run narrow for me. I usually wear 'wide' in NB shoes, but that size (2E) was unavailable, thought I'd give them a try anyway. Had to return.

I wear size 8.5 tennis shoes from other companies/brands but your 8.5 was too small. I sent them back.
I then ordered a size 9 and was sent a totally different shoe. I returned those and went to another brand/company.

I wish the Womens wide shoes were as wide as the mens I had tried several Womens wide shoes prier to this purchase and the toe guard on all of them rubbed the outer edge of my big toe.

Had these for about a month and a half. Thought they were fine at first, narrow but I thought they just needed broken in. Well they never really broke in and make my feet hurt, especially the left for some reason. Ran in my regular shoes and it was great, even though they're old and need replaced it was still better than these. If you need wider running shoes I whole heartedly recommend getting them on Xlfeet.

New Balance has changed or something. These were too small. They felt comfortable by just trying them on. Never wore them anywhere because they were too small/tight. Apparently, these run small.

I compared them to my last pair of New Balance sneakers, also ordered from here -- they were the identical size (15 4E) but MUCH MUCH narrower. The toe box was less rounded, which didn't help, but placed sole to sole with my old sneakers, these were at least an inch narrower.

I have worn NB shoes for many years. I have nearly always bought 4E 990s in their current form. Recently even these seem to wear poorly compared to their earlier versions. This is is shown through the big toe managing to create a hole in the top of the mesh on two pairs of these shoes . However, they have always fit my feet.
These new shoes again 4E do not fit as well. The right shoe causes discomfort and pain. I would have returned them but had worn them several time inside and outside before the discomfort became obvious. So, I'm not sure about NBs quality control and stable and consistent sizing.

The 4E wide size runs small.
Fits more like a wide 2E

I have been wearing New Balance for at least 10 years, probably 15 pairs, and have always bought the exact same size---13D (except for my golf shoes, which are 13E). I bought these DynaSoft Nitrel V5, and loved the way they looked when I got them. When I went to try them on, I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe---it was that tight. I thought they sent me the wrong size, but checked the box, and inside the shoe---they were 13D. No possible way I could wear these. I returned them, and was going to order a size 14 because I liked the look of the shoe so much, but they were sold out. Pretty odd that the size on these could be that far off.

The rear heel portion pushes into my Achilles' tendon creating some discomfort. I have to wear tall socks to avoid the discomfort, although tall socks do not completely alleviate this issue.
