I bought this jacket some time ago and I love how packable and light the jacket is. I had no issues when I washed the jacket and followed the care instructions carefully. After washing the jacket is looks like new and always keeps me dry! I love wearing it when I go hiking or just outside for a walk. I love that the collar is protecting you from the wind as well and the hood is adjustable. The zippers are watertight and the jacket has not disappointed me yet! Super reliable and durable.

I am on my second beta AR jacket now, my second one was replaced by warranty. This is my go-to jacket for every season; camping, skiing, climbing, etc. It is really easy to layer under and packs down really small. My only complaint would be the colour choice and my second jacket I did size down because it seemed a lot bigger.

I bought this jacket for an upgrade to my old shell jacket I had. So happy I got this style, I absolutely love the separate collar from the hood. It was the style factor that won me over when I was originally looking at hard shells. Had kept me dry in all winter weather conditions while guiding clients. Would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade or purchase their first hard shell. Quality is great!

Best waterproof shell I've ever had! Fits great and performs great. I sometimes use it just as a raincoat in the spring but mainly as a waterproof outer shell over my down coat.

I bought this jacket in the fall, its proved versatile in layering, breathes well, and is incredibly waterproof. Great pockets and a nice looking collar make it good for the city and remote locations alike.

As always, Arcteryx lives up to their reputation. The beta AR never fails to disappoint. I haven't bought one in many years and was pleasantly surprised at an updated fit, being longer in the body than my previous jackets. Highly recommend, worth every dime!

Love this Jacket! The best fit of a hard shell for women I have found so far. I have a rather short upper body and it is finally not a jacket that fits like a dress and a little more boxy than women's jackets often fit which I love! So far the quality is great too.

Great jacket for skiing or as a general waterproof layer. Happy with the fit as I can easily layer under or wear on its own.

I have several Arc'teryx hard shells and bought the Beta AR for my daughter a couple of years ago. Emma wore it on the famous and challenging Haute Route, from Chamonix to Zermatt - see picture - and the Beta AR kept her snug, dry and warm in the face of the Alpine extremes on that classic tour. Be in no doubt - this is a brilliant jacket.

I ordered this rain jacket with Gortex Pro to keep me truly dry during hikes. I ordered a size much larger than my petite size so that my - always cold! - hands could be fully covered by the sleeves. Works perfectly!

Perfect hardshell for all kind of use. Packable but still rigid. Really waterproof and also stains are easy to remove. I use my Beta AR for years now and bought the same for my wife. If it ever gets worn out I would buy the same jacket again.

It was a gift for my daughter. We have been waiting a long time. She's very happy. Construction is perfect, super weather resistant: however very breathable.

Jacket is very lightweight, comfortable and waterproof. I have used it in heavy west coast rain a couple times now and it has kept me dry everytime. I am 5'8", 180lbs and size large fits me well.

The most versatile and durable jacket I've ever owned. I got it a year ago and I wore it for hiking, under the rain, and layered up for skiing. It is very easy to travel with and now I want to get my entire family one!

The jacket kept me dry in an unbelievably crazy typhoon, rainstorms and snowstorms in ON, AB, BC, QC and Japan. It's my forever go-to jacket! Can't leave home without it.

Gortex Pro feels very strong and firm. The line off Beta is more feminine then Alfa. I absolutely love this jacket.

I bought the Beta Jacket with the intention of using it as a mountain activity jacket. It repels water and snow extremely well and also works as a great wind breaker in high elevations. Love that the hood fits over a helmet and the elastic drawstrings secure it in place!

I bike commute in all weather, and this jacket is what makes it possible. It's light and packable, so that I never mind shoving it in my pannier. And it sheds water like crazy on those wet Vancouver days. The cut is great for biking - lots of ease around the shoulders to get into that stretched out position, and plenty long enough in the back that my waistband isn't exposed. The cut and placement of features is as close to perfect as I can imagine. The one downside: they are durable, to a point. All of these jackets start to delaminate after 6-7 years (of admittedly hard use). But they work so well, I can't imagine replacing mine with anything else. Pricy, but still cheaper than a car!
