Doesn't fit as well as I would like - had to go to a size from what fits my body for the sleeves and jacket not to be too short (5'8", 145ish). Otherwise good jacket. Wish they had a light coloured jacket that was a standard neutral colour like the men's.

Overall good, but the Outside material seems very fragile & easy to break.

I love this Atom Hoody. I still use my old black one that is over 10 years old but wanted a new one too. Got it in the sale. Only slight issue is that the sizing has changed and I bought a Small and would have preferred and XS. I compared it to my older Atom Hoody and the arms are the same size but the body of the new one is about an inch longer and probably more than that wider in the body. I could not change sizes due to stock and I love the bright yellow 'Sprint' colour. It can be adjusted at the bottom and the hood is adjustable, which my oolder one isn't so that is a bonus. Also it comes up further than my old one to protect my face which is great to put on after a cold xc race. Love the jacket, just seems Arcteryx has made their sizes bigger.

While water repellent it is also snow repellent it seems. Light snow however. Eventually the atom does begin to look wet - this can take up to 20 minutes. Wouldn't recommend for a standalone outer layer but is an excellent mid layer. Inside pocket helps. Kyanite hoody, atom and beta lt all work well together. Plenty of pockets and keeps you warm and dry. 220 is quite an investment however, you can get fully waterproof products for that price. But you're paying for a superior mid layer/emergency outer layer if you're caught out or if you're putting out the bins.

The usual superb quality arcteryx is known for - lightweight, breathable, JUST the right level of insulation jacket. With some notable improvements over the older version. Sleeves now have a new cuff around the wrist which is very good, logo is stitched on not printed, fleece material on the sides has more stretch making it a tighter fit then the previous iterations. Size wise it's less straight forward then before, I bought L (which I buy for all arcteryx products) but it's tighter then I expected; still fits well, but wearing a heavy sweater underneath is now less comfy. So why no 5 star? That would be the zipper, despite the fancy zipper pulls, the zipper appears to be of lesser quality then before not 'zipping' up as smoothly, it feels like there is some friction, only time will tell how it stand up to the test of heavy wearing - for the rest, it's a straight five star piece of gear - as per the usual!

I bought this 1 week ago for my girlfriend. She is 163cm tall and 57kg weight, and the M size is perfect, a little larger but for a winter cover is fine.

Had 5 Atom over years Personally i would like to have a stuffsack pocket and the fabric of the "Squamish windshell" instead of the fleece inserts.

It's a great jacket. I did end up returning it and buying a larger size elsewhere- so the fitted sizing is truth! I'm typically a large and the large fit fine, but I run cold and wanted more room for layers, so went with the XL

I followed the size chart exactly and purchased a M. While it fits very comfortably, I would call this a very relaxed fit. It feels quite baggy to me and I preferred last year's closer fit better. This year, I like the longer torso and the looser armpits. I would like a slightly shorter sleeve and more fitted torso. I did not like the fit for many years prior when it was very short in the torso and tight in the armpits. I am 5'5" and 135 lbs with a longer torso. I also purchased a M shirt using the same new size chart and also find it a bit baggy. I traditionally wear S and wonder if I would like that sizing better, but according to the chart I would not fit it.

I really love the Atom jacket. It is the perfect 3-season outer layer and a great winter mid-layer. Absolutely love the labyrinth colour, an awesome alternative to black or navy. The only reason I couldn't rate it 5 stars is that the front zip is definitely not "no-slip". It's not a big deal, but the front zipper does unfortunately undo when lightly pulled apart or with certain movements if not done up all the way. Still very impressed and because this is my first Arc'teryx piece I can't wait to see how it holds up against the test of time.

This jacket is very nice and warm and the colour is amazing. It is partially waterproof and keeps wind out completely. It fits very large, I am usually size small (chest - 35", waist 27" Hip 37") and according to arcteryx size chart I should be small. The jacket fits me but has lots of extra fabric especially in the waist and back area. It works well for me as a layer over a thick fleece, but I think they need to change their size charts.

The Labyrinth colour is so beautiful. I like that this jacket keeps me warm but it is thin enough to layer underneath a shell. I also love the tight cuffs at the sleeves. Would have given it five stars but the fit of the jacket means a size small was just a bit too small and the medium is a little baggy around the shoulders/chest. If you have a different body type this may not be a problem for you.

I love my Atom Hoody. The hood is fantastic and the jacket keeps me warm on cool fall days. Also love the deep blue colour.

I received this jacket as a birthday gift in October. So far, I have found it to be a good jacket. I find it warm for temps from 30 degrees to 50 degrees (in Fahrenheit). The fabric is very comfortable and surprising stretchy, it has provided good range of motion. I like the addition of the fleece panels on the sides and have found the jacket to be nice for low intensity workouts: some backpacking stretches, most hikes, walks, and other things of the sort. It's also ok for some really cold workouts. The hood is very well designed and I've found it suitable in place of a hat on trips where I don't I want to keep track of one. All in all, an amazing piece of insulation.

I love the weight and insulating qualities of this jacket, but wish it was a bit shorter to fit my 5' 4 " height, 120 lbs, & full chested torso. So either make a petite size to fit us more compact gals, or include a cinch cord in the bottom of jacket to shorten it up a bit for us shorter folks. A medium size fits my shoulders and chest, though a bit more narrow than I like. This has stopped me from purchasing more of this jacket, though I wish I could.

I love using this jacket as a midlayer on warmer fall and winter days. My only issue with it is the hips are still too narrow, and the jacket starts to ride up above my waist and butt. I personally need to use the women's version since the men's has too narrow of a waist, but the women's version doesn't have enough room in the chest, shoulders, and waist.

Nearly 5 stars but...... This jacket has had it's cut/pattern changed to fit longer in the torso. If you're tall in the torso - great! This will serve you well and is truly a bomb proof and incredibly high performing and cosy jacket! I've owned one for 9 years and wore/loved it non stop until it's recent death. I purchased a new one but sadly most of us women aren't tall in the torso and the new fit just feels off and unflattering on me now. It sits tight on my hips and the extra few inches of length annoys and restricts my body. I miss the boxier cut that ended just below my hips as I could move more freely, plus I thought it looked much more flattering this length too! Heart breaking after owning the older cut for many years and loving the way it fit and felt. Please, PLEASE, please Arc'teryx; bring back your cute boxy cut for us shorter women!

Great jacket, lightweight, yet warm. Please come up with brighter colors, as they used to be. I would like to have another bright red, blue, teal, something fun!

I love the jacket, but I had to return it because of the sizing issue. There's a huge size difference between large and Extra large. The shoulders are very wide like as if the jacket was only meant for Olympic swimmers. Arcteryx, I love your style but you need to fix the fit and sizing issue.

So I love the warmth, and the quality of there materials, but it's not fitted enough. The sides being stretchable allows the front to sag. And the had pockets are too small.

The purple color is very beautiful and the reason I am keeping it is because of its color! However, the material is not thick and limits its use to early fall or late spring. I cannot imagine to wear this in winter or any cold weather. I ordered Large and Xlarge and at the end I kept the XL. The sizing is not good. The large one was tight on bust and good on waist. The XL was good on bust but too big on waist. So, if you have large bust size, I recommend going one size big but at the same time it will be big in waist. I wish Arcteryx jackets were a little bigger in bust area since I have the same issue with their Beta AR series.

I bought this to test out the new fit. Overall I've been impressed with the design and quality of materials selected for products. The fit has always been the reason I've not purchased. I WANT to like the fit, but even with the new sizing and the stretch side gusset, the jacket is riding up above my hips. I'm also a bit unsure if I like the fabric feel, it's almost too synthetic feeling. Lastly, the cuffs are tight. There doesn't seem to be a lot of give which may be the dealbreaker for me in using this jacket regularly. From a sizing perspective I think the brand is still missing the boat by designing for a limited size profile. There are plenty of folks with the funds to invest in the product, but the fit is nearly always the issue.

Fit is everything and unfortunately this didn't work out bought medium, shoulders and chest fit perfect. Waist way to baggy/boxy, sleeves were also quite loose and too long. Would have sized down but small too tight along the chest. Arcteryx sizing is no longer for athletes unfortunately..

Jacket is nice, comfy and warm while being light, however the fabric is likely to break or open up within a year. I've been using mine regularly for day to day stuff and have multiple scrapes like this. According to the company, it can't be fix (other than a plasticky patch on it?). Definitely not worth the $ of the jacket, I am quite disappointed.
