I've had an Atom LT (now called Atom Lightweight) jacket for a long time and never really looked at the Atom Heavyweight (prev called Atom AR) hoody because I figured they were too similar to warrant having both. I was wrong. Yeah the Atom Lightweight (LT) Hoody is a beloved and iconic Arc'teryx staple that I wear all the time, but the Heavyweight version is so awesome as a stand-alone outer-layer when it's cold (so far I've worn it in temps down to about 30F). And it will be my go-to mid layer under my Sentinel jacket when skiing in really cold conditions. This years Atom line is definitely a little looser-fitting than previous years but not much - just tweaked in a way that makes it a little less narrow in the waist. Adore the Habitat color.

I own a lot of jackets and this is seriously the warmest thing EVER. Also pretty lightweight, comfortable and doesn't feel too bulky for how warm it is. It is a nice alternative to the down jackets since washing and cleaning is easier. I wish I could give this to all my friends who complain they are cold because this makes me HOT sometimes. Perfect for winter camping and hanging around the camp fire. The band at the end of the sleeves helps keep the warmth inside and the fluffiness is so cozy. I have the Moonlit color and find it goes well with a lot of my clothes. Definitely recommend this!

Loving the Atom Heavyweight Hoody. I've been wearing it all the time in cold weather, and it has been the nicest and warmest jacket I've worn! It has enough space to wear a hoodie under and it is super comfortable as well.

I got this as an up grade for my atom and I was not happy with my down jacket and this is just as warm! I also love that it looks more sleek than a classic down puffy and breaths way better since it has synthetic insulation. Good weather resistance, great for travel and layering. Perfect piece if you already have the Atom Lt and need just a little more for colder days. AMAZING FOR COLORADO! MUST HAVE!

I bought this over a month ago and have been relentlessly using it. I honestly hadn't given the Atom Heavyweight enough credit pre-purchase. It is incredibly light for the warmth, given its name, I thought it would weigh a lot more. That being said, don't expect it to be as light and compact-able as the Cerium - it is an Atom Heavyweight, not a super light packable down piece. I have used it as an outer layer at the dog park for 1.5 hours at -20 and been perfectly warm without feeling sweaty. I have also worn it on -5 days and been just as comfortable. As for the new updated women's fit - LOVE how it shows up in this piece. Having a bit more room to layer underneath has been a major unlock and I am here for it. Lastly, the moonlit colour is bomb, loving this seasons colour-ways. It's refreshing to see some more pinks and lighter/powdery blues within the outdoor industry.

The pink is a great color and the jacket was high quality and lightweight. I am 5'4" and 128 lbs. A size 6, I ordered the medium and enjoyed the loose fit. Unfortunately, when zipped the collar overwhelmed and came up past my nose so I had to return the jacket. It seemed to be proportioned for a larger frame. Maybe not good for a petite person.

Really love the updated fit and weight of this jacket. It's my go-to everyday but also warm enough to layer for skiing.

I bought this recently, loved the color, however, it ran big and I felt it was more of an stand alone jacket and not a layering piece under my shell jackets...

I love this jacket. I was skeptical because it feels very thin and I am really cold natured but it certainly does not disappoint. It is warm and comfortable. The sleeves are fitted at the wrist so no cold air can get in. The zippers are of the highest quality and glide up and down easily. It also is very stylish and I have received several complement. I highly recommend this jacket. It is well worth the money.

Why Why Why aren't you making a hoodless jacket? I kept waiting for you to bring out some new good colors to replace my two old Atom AR jackets as they got more and more holes and stains. And now it doesn't exist. So disappointed. There are no other 'non down' jackets that are as light and warm as yours. All five of the people I got to buy the hoodless Atom AR are so bummed. You make great products...

This is my favorite coat. I wear it under a shell when I go skiing and it is amazing how warm it is. It's also great as a stand alone coat.

I have had this jacket for 1 week and its coming apart at the seams. I went to a store to tell them and was told that its normal wear and tear. Very disappointed.

I will preface with, I get cold easily! Firstly, for $350, this does not do a thing for me. It feels fine for temps in the 50s maybe 40s Fahrenheit. Second, I ordered a size small, I am 140lbs, have an athletic build, decent shoulders, and a size B cup, and the jacket felt tight in the armpit area with little room to layer. Thirdly, I ordered to APO and apparently, there is no way to return the items free of charge so I am paying to ship the jacket back. So I spent $20 to try out a $350 jacket that is a joke for winter. Make sure you're active nonstop for this jacket to keep you warm, otherwise it's useless.

Love this jacket. Its perfect for cold weather golf. Its warm without being bulky or restrictive. I can move freely. I played last week at 34 degrees with a 10mph wind. The jacket was the best !

Thicker than the regular atom hoody. I have the regular one as well. Gives you the bit of extra warmth needed. Would love better colors!

I get cold easily and the atom hoody alone doesn't keep me warm in 50-60 F weather (lol) so I decided to get the heavyweight. It's so warm and light that I'd choose this over my giant puffers. Unfortunately, the sizing is off because it's a whole size bigger than the regular atom. I'm 5 ft, 95lbs and I wear a S in the regular hoody (to wear it a little oversized) and I got an XS in the heavyweight. It felt the equivalent if not slightly larger than the S atom hoody. An XXS would fit perfectly but it's sold out and I'm pretty happy with how the XS fits even though it's bigger than I expected. The rune color is also slightly greyish and sandier than pictured. I was expecting a creamy warm tone based on the photos. Regardless, I still love it and absolutely agree with the other 5 star reviews. 100% worth the investment if you get cold easily and need the functionality of an atom hoody!

Love this one. It is always first choice pick me up during end fall / winter season here in Boston. I already have the fuchsia color from last year that I did wear / enjoyed a lot.. I got another one on black sapphire color since you never know if it will come back soon in stock.. Its expensive but so worth it. Thank you Arctyrex We do love your products.

So my husband and I waited a year for this sell out, all season, atom heavyweight hoody. The minute it came online we purchased. Its so light for packing and fits perfectly true to size. Normally a medium & thats what I ordered. Let the all season adventures begin. Mountaineering or touring city streets, perfection.
