This coat feels very warm and high quality for the price. It runs large. When I purchased it the fit said runs small. At the time of this review it now says true to size. Im between a small and a medium (34 bust / 29 waist) and from marmot I usually wear a medium. I exchanged the medium for a small and its still quite roomy but Im going to keep this size to have plenty of room to layer.

Got the Nori in my usual size. Fits great. The material looks sturdy enough to withstand the elements, the fleece lined pockets are great for the cold. But it could do with at least an internal pocket. Sometimes I carry a credit card and/or my ID on my walk, just in case I need it. With no internal pockets I feel I'll lose them if I carry them in my outer pockets. Overall, a great jacket for very cold days. Though I haven't had to try it out since winter has been warm, I love the waterproof feature. Also I saw what one reviewer said about the Nori color, stains can show easily. I returned it to get the black color.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This is my second coat from Marmot that I kept and which has an inside pocket. I do have one question, why wasn't an inside pocket made in this coat? Most coats made these days have one. And for the price, it most certainly should have an inside pocket. It's important to the gal wearing it. To have easy access to her Metro Cards or anything else primarily is the reason. Please consider when designing your outerwear for the next lady purchasing your coats. Thank you.

Great coat. Fits as expected true to size. Plenty warm and I like the soft fleece cuffs to keep the cold from going up the sleeves. Nice that this look can be easily dressed up or down as needed. Just a couple of downsides. The pockets hit a little too high for my preference and I really wish there was at least one internal pocket. The snaps are also really difficult to use, but I mostly just leave them unsnapped and it looks fine.

This is an awesome coat! We had a blizzard in buffalo and I got to try it out. I was so warm and completely dry. The color is beautiful I got the green just the right color to compliment yiu. I am usually a petite with jackets and the length on the arms was great for me I didnt have to roll it up like I do with a lot of coats.

I have tried the old Chelsea coat and this new one. The fabric in this one is stiffer. I like the hood- still not too big and doesn't fall into your eyes. This newer model is also more roomy and more comfortable. It seems warm. I decided to return it as I found a different coat from a different brand that had more down and is more comfortable. This one the neck is so stiff when it's zipped up all the way th at it starts to make you feel a little uncomfortable.

The good, this coat is warm. I was just out shoveling in -11 with -25 windchill and I was pretty warm. It looks great. It has a nice less bulky appearance than most puffers. The bad. There are no inside pockets and the hand warmers are kind of small to stuff gloves. The fabric is stiff. I don't find an issue with noise, but the whole coat is inflexible. I am glad it has a two way zipper or I would never be able to sit in the car. It is tight across the chest. I am not large chested and I might consider sizing up, but then I think the rest of the coat would be too much (petite 8-10 and purchased medium). The hood is big enough for me but the tightners on the top of the head are kind of useless. I like that it has a flap over the zipper. The snaps are almost impossible to actually snap while you are wearing it. Overall it is a nice coat. Would I buy it again, likely no. Am I glad I got it on sale, absolutely. The gray is a OK color. I wish it were a bit lighter as I like to be seen when out for a walk at night.

Got this coat for cold and snowy mornings when I walk the dog. I love it! It is very warm. The tight cuffs keep snow from going up my sleeve. I like the nice deep pockets. It feels a little bulky bc it is a long coat, but I have gotten a lot of complements on it. So it doesnt look too big. The color is as pictured. I got the small and it fits well - I am 110 lbs. 53.

I love my new Chelsea coat. Actually, I have the previous version of the Chelsea as well, which I also love. There are some differences. The new Chelsea has a better hood, is "cuter" - I've received several compliments - and the fabric maintains its appearance better, whereas the fabric in the old Chelsea tends to wrinkle. The new Chelsea has a stiffer fabric, something more like a waxed cotton. Also, the new Chelsea leaks less down than the old one. The new one runs bigger - at a busty 5' and 138 lbs my medium is a bit roomy, while the medium in the old Chelsea is a snugger fit. However the old Chelsea has a nicer quilted pattern (admittedly only visible from the inside), an interior breast pocket, and snaps on the cuffs, unlike the new Chelsea. Both coats have a rather tall collar that comes past my chin if zipped all the way. Both coats are really warm, will keep you dry in the rain or snow, and can handle any wind I've encountered. Overall I would say the new Chelsea is an improvement over the old one, although both are great coats. My last Marmot coat, a Montreal, lasted 8 years and I am sure I will get at least as long out of this Chelsea coat.

I love the Chelsea Coat with a few caveats, the most detracting of which is how the collar is designed. I am petite (5'2"/120#) and find that the collar is suffocatingly tight and also too tall -- so tall that when fully zipped, it covers my mouth and nose. Perhaps this is why the coat is almost always shown not fully zipped in photos? It is too tight on me to both wear a scarf and zip the coat fully; it's one or the other (plus having 1/2 my face covered by the collar). As other reviewers have noted, it could also use more interior pockets. If these two issues -- namely the collar -- were corrected, this would be a 5-star must-have winter coat.

I purchased the crimson colored coat. The quality is exceptional, it is very warm, and stylish. But I would not consider this a lightweight jacket. It is heavy, very heavy. It also runs a tad smaller/tighter in the shoulders and chest than I would've expected given the measurements in the size chart.

My daughter has this coat and I recently purchased one for myself in a different color after many years of having a Montreux. I like this style so much better however I was bummed to find the newer model does not have interior pockets. My daughter's coat does have them & my old coat did too. Was a great spot to store phone, keys, etc.

I've had this coat for several years and it's still holding up well! It's nice and warm and stylish, not super bulky, nicely fitted in the torso but larger in the arms. Not sure if the fit has been updated or not since then. That would be my only complaint - I got a Medium and I wouldn't fit comfortably in a Small with extra layers in the winter, but the top half of the arms are a littler larger than what I would normally wear. Mine has hidden snaps which I think are more fashionable than the snaps they have now, in my opinion. I would recommend this coat to anyone and will probably get another one if mine ever wears out.

The fabric seems of good quality. However, the coat is heavy, and the shape is not flattering on me. If I see it in person, I would not purchase it. It is final sale, so I am stuck.
