This coat is everything I was looking for. I needed it last year and bought a competitor's coat and found it was too heavy weight - it actually is heavy to lift - much less wear. SO , I broke down and bought this coat this year. I hands down love it

My wife loves it. She has worn it everyday. Definitely a hit.

My Chelsea coat is beautifully sewn, stylish, waterproof and warm. It hangs nicely, w/o the puffy outline of many winter coats. The color is a cheery contrast to grey days. The small is a perfect fit for me: I'm 5'3/120 lbs. I've worn it both in SF and NYC in rain, snow, chilly and v cold weather. I love the removable hood.

Warm and waterproof, flattering fit, just the winter coat I was looking for. Also, ample coverage of butt to just above knees, great length. Inner cuffs on sleeves keep out the cold too. Well designed, in sum.

Got this coat for cold and snowy mornings when I walk the dog. I love it! It is very warm. The tight cuffs keep snow from going up my sleeve. I like the nice deep pockets. It feels a little bulky bc it is a long coat, but I have gotten a lot of complements on it. So it doesn't look too big. The color is as pictured. I got the small and it fits well - I am 110 lbs. 5'3''.

This is my second Marmot coat. My first one was a ski jacket I bought in 1990 and I still wear it. I needed a warmer, windproof, waterproof coat for Antarctica so I chose the Chelsea. It couldn't be more perfect. I wanted to wear it with thick sweaters and sweatshirts. I bought it a size larger because of other reviewers' suggestions. Mission accomplished. I only wish it was more of a blue red and less of an orange-red. Otherwise, it's perfect!

A cozy coat that keeps me warm and dry. I chose the red and wondered if it would be too garish, but it's a happy color most welcome in our dark gray Pacific Northwest winter. The coat is nicely designed and well-constructed with attention to detail. Excellent coat!

This is an excellent jacket and it was a great fit for my mom. She loved it!

Luxurious fabric, warm, well crafted. Love that the zipper also opens from the bottom! Very warm without feeling bulky

The fabric seems of good quality. However, the coat is heavy, and the shape is not flattering on me. If I see it in person, I would not purchase it. It is final sale, so I am stuck.

This coat looks more beautiful in person. I like the length and the fit. The quality is great and it feels really warm. I have a lot of jackets and coats but I think this jacket can become my favorite ( I havent worn it yet ). I cant wait to wear it in a very cold day. Im so excited and happy with my purchase.

This coat is extremely warm, waterproof and wind proof. It is nice to have a hood that detaches. I would give the coat 5+ stars if it had an inside zip pocket to hold my phone. The outsides pockets are ample to put my hands in. I do like the cuffs on the sleeves also. Nice length and roomy enough to wear a puffy vest or jacket underneath for very cold weather. Many compliments on the green color.

Nice coat, but I returned it because I didn't care for the heavy fabric. It felt rubbery, which probably made it waterproof.

I love this coat! Its warm, which was my primary reason for buying it. The bonus is that it also looks stylish. Im so tired of puffer coats!

The jacket feels heavy and thick to touch. Depending on the sweater I wear, it does keep me very warm. I wish the hood was a little deeper and the neck area is a bit too high for me and it keeps hitting my chin when zipped all the way up. I like the fleece lined pockets and sleeves.

This coat is comfortable and warm. I am a size 10 and 59. I went with a large. I dont find that this coat runs big.

The sleeves are still a bit long for petite ( 157cm, 52kg ), although it is not too obviously weird on me I would still prefer to get one that is tailored for petite body frame and unfortunately it is quite hard to find one on the market. I got size XS and if I lose more weight, this jacket would be too big, and they don't have smaller size available. agreed with other reviewers that it lacks an inner pocket to be perfect, but for the price I paid I am fine with it. the button around the neck is a bit hard to close when I want to. I love that the hood is removable and doesn't have fur. I wonder if they have a male version short coat? I would love to get one for my brother. overall, I don't regret my unreturnable final sale purchase of this coat

I havent had a chance to wear it, Im sure Ill love it, a bit heavy, no biggy and would have loved a faux fur rim around hood..I live in Ma., hasnt been too cold

I did a lot of searching for the perfect warm, waterproof, yet stylish coat for a winter trip and landed on this as the best overall. However, I am SO annoyed that there is not a single inner pocket! I just assumed there would be one because why wouldn't there be? It's such a basic and expected feature in any coat, even the cheapest ones. I am going to take it to a tailor to see if I can get one sewn in - not thrilled about spending extra money on an already expensive coat but I did get it on sale so I'm justifying it that way. Please do not put out such high quality items that lack these basic essential features!

I really love this coat. I'm 5'6", about 117 lbs and purchased an XS. It's lightweight and very warm, it will do a good job during a Michigan winter. I like the stiff neck and zipper cover as it keeps the wind off the neck and chest. The cut fits nicely as well. My only complaint is the recycles material the shell if made out of is a bit odd.. it attracts lint and the black color is not very black. Overall though, I'm pleased with my purchase.
