I bought this 1 month ago to wear to my trip to visit Nunavut. I'm so impressed with how well it has kept me warm. I have an older Cerium from 2 years ago and I still love that jacket, too. Along with my Arc'teryx shell, it has stood up to the severe cold (-50C) while keeping me warm and protected. I love my Arc'teryx. Will always wear their products when I work up North.

I bought this jacket a couple weeks ago. I love it, but I am having some issues. 1) I get a rash on my neck every time I wear it. I have never had this with other clothing, and have no known allergies. What is the material around the neck? 2) After only a few times wearing it, feathers are starting to poke out. I can't stuff them back in so I pull them out. What is the suggested practice or should this not be happening?
Anyone else have these issues?
I'm a huge Arc'teryx fan and want to love this jacket but it doesn't seem to love me.

I wore this jacket almost every day this winter, it's super cozy and perfect for a Canadian winter! Great for snowshoeing through the woods, watching wildlife or heading into town for some errands.
Wearing this jacket during field work under the Beta AR kept me warm down to -25C. It can be too warm while doing high output winter activities, however it's super light which makes it a great addition to my pack as an insulating layer after activities.
My favorite thing about this jacket is the hood! Nice and warm as well as a good fit that doesn't blow off in windy weather.

I've been using this jacket as a mid-layer with the Beta AR hardshell on top for winter fieldwork. My core has stayed toasty while standing in the cold in -25C and I could not be happier. Super lightweight (great for layerings), warm, functional pockets, and a great classic puff look overall.

I've had this jacket for a few years now and absolutely, it is my go-to jacket during the Maine weather lows. I have been satisfied with the durability and wear, I do agree, it runs small (I'm in between a small and a medium, sized up). Thank you for such great products, truly enjoy staying warm on colder days with this jacket!

I love this jacket. However, the first night that I wore it, the elbow ripped right at the seam. The outer layer is not durable at all.. beware of sticks and sharp objects. For the $$ spent it was a huge bummer. Would definitely recommend a jacket that is more durable. Worried it will rip again :(

I love Arcteryx jackets, so much in fact that I actually have 6 of them. I love bright fun colours when mountaineering - being immediately seen is important to me should the worst happen.
Recent colours have been supremely disappointing, so imagine my excitement when the Mesmer colour appeared online!!! Ummmmm, nope. It's nothing like the colour online. That beautiful bright vibrant pink is a fairly dull pinky-lilac in real life.
Surely the fact that this colour sold out instantly in every size should tell the product team that women want some colour in their lives?! I'm baffled at the muted neutral colours this season. Give us some beautiful purples, some stunning reds (not more orange-red, actual red), something actually fun! Please!!
And the new sizing is way off for Arcteryx jackets. My current Lg Cerium is snug, but the new XL is more like an XXL. It's huge. In fairness, I'd have to say that the sizing is more inline with other brands now, definitely appears much roomier than previous sizing.
So I'm sadly returning both the new Atom and Cerium in Mesmer because they've massively disappointed me with their fit and colour. Technically speaking they can't be faulted - I already have them both in different colours, hence buying new versions. They really are awesome jackets, just don't believe the website colours!!

Great jacket, but a bit smaller in size than other Arc'teryx jackets. I'm a S and would go for M in this one as it is a bit tight over shoulders. I got a climbers back

I bought this jacket for my PCT thru-hike after comparing a lot of different down jacket specs. I loved this and would choose this jacket over and over again. I ended up carrying this jacket the entire time because I was very nervous about being cold and it was my go to in camp. I hardly wore the jacket while hiking just because it was so warm. I had a lighter color which showed a lot of dirt (after 5 months it look pretty filthy) but I washed it with down special soap once I finished and it came out looking new! I'm 5'7" and about 140 lbs and medium was the perfect size.

This jacket lives in my pack for long distance runs. I live in the mountains, so it is possible a storm can roll in at anytime. It is also nice to know if for some reason I have to be out longer than anticipated I have a warm jacket when I need it. It is light and packable. I just recently ran the Grand Canyon and the temperature swing was 60 degree fahrenheit. At the beginning I needed the warmth for only a short period of time before heating up, so it was nice that I could stow it easily. Then I was happy to have it on the other side as the temps dropped again.

Fabric is discolored, seems have stuffing coming out, very thin material.

I bought this puffer last winter because the Thorium was out of stock for months and there was no sign of it coming back anytime soon. I was in the market for a new everyday puffer and was hesitant based on this style being designed more for layering and the Thorium being more durable for the elements. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. I provides the perfect amount of warmth and pairs well with my shell when it's wet or there are higher winds. I will say that the outer layer feels quite thin and like it could easily snag, but it packs up very small and is great for travel and hikes. I am typically between a small and medium at Arc'teryx and medium fit perfect. (Size small in my beta lt)

Bought this jacket in preparation for my Antarctica trip and brought it to Peru as an after thought and I am glad I did! This was definitely my most-used item in my pack and the item I was most complimented on. While hiking the Inca Trail it was perfect for the cool morning/evenings and folded up into a small pillow during the night! It was the perfect addition to my day pack for the chilly summits above the clouds. While not on the Inca Trail it was perfect for touring around Peru and o was glad I had it for every Instagram shot.

The Cerium is so versatile and practical. It fits true to size, packs up small and is the perfect blend of weight versus warmth. It pairs really well with my Beta AR and Gamma MX. I have a slightly long body but the Cerium is the perfect length. I like it so much that I own two of them!

Bought this last winter to ski layers, but unfortunately sidelined myself with an injury. I've used this way more around town/hiking and have been very happy with the level of warmth. The color, Iliad, is stunning in person

I've had this jacket for at least 5 years. I've worn it backcountry skiing, around town, took it to Spain for a month climbing trip in January. It is hands down my favorite jacket for the warmth to size ratio. I'm 5'1" and 115 lbs and an xs fits perfectly. I do have an older model and I think current sizing is a bit different. I think they made the newer model longer which I don't actually prefer.

I bought this a month ago and so glad I did. It's a beautiful jacket and the colour is perfect. I can't wait to wear it on the slopes.

The jacket fits me well but the colour of Ephemera appears to be a bit more red than on the web site. In reality it is orange. So I will drive downtown to exchange it. I won't order online anymore

I really wanted to love and keep this jacket. The colours look cute and I love most Arc'teryx gear as that's the only brand I wear hiking in all seasons.
The fit Of this jacket is very strange, too wide in the hips area and too narrow in the chest. Initially I purchased a size S and it was way too big around the bottom part/ hips area, returned and got a size XS which again was a fail as it was too tight in the chest area and I'm not a chesty girl.
Arc'teryx, please fix the fit of this jacket. Otherwise I can't comment on quality or warmth.

This is my #1 Arc'teryx staple. I don't know how it breathes under a ski jacket but it does and I love it. I pretty much wear this all ski season for any day below -5 and it keeps me warm but once I start warming up I never overheat. It is also summer staple for camping. Packs up super small and is always warm for alpine environments.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and like that it's light enough to use as a layer under a raincoat as well as on its own for cooler spring or fall days. While I don't typically like hoods, this one stays on and is very useful during heavy rain under the raincoat.
Fits a little snug in the chest and I sized up.
