I've been wearing these shoes since they came out, and I average 500+ miles on each pair. I've run ultras in Thailand and Chamonix with them, done the R2R2R in the Grand Canyon with zero blisters, and run technical mountain 100 milers in them. They've got the perfect amount of cushion and traction for what I want in a trail shoe, and they have enough room in the toe box for when my feet start to swell up. My only feedback is that they run large (size down half a size), and the uppers tend to wear through before the rest of the shoe... but then again, I've never met a running shoe where that didn't happen. These are the only shoes I wear trail running.

My first pair of arcteryx shoes are very comfortable. I went with 11.5 as I'm between 11-11.5. It's a great walking shoe all around and especially hiking. No regrets so gar.

Bought for general mountain activities with a focus on trail running. Tested them out with a couple summit scrambles. Amazing shoes. Sharp scree will definitely wear these out quick but for a trail run or less technical scramble are perfect.

Love these trail runners. They are super comfortable right out of the box and great grip! I wore these for a 30km trail run race after the 2nd wear and has no issues.

I've ben running in these for the past several months and they've become by go-to pair for almost all of my runs. There is plenty of cushion that makes them comfortable for big days without sacrificing too much sensitivity. The traction has blown me away a few times, particularly in muddy conditions when I've tried to make them slip and they still stick. I've also liked the water resistance. Unless water makes it to the upper part of the shoe, my feet stay totally dry, and the breathability helps them dry out quickly after creek crossings or time in snow. The rubber coating around the edge of the shoe makes them durable and has protected my feet from plenty of accidental rock kicks. The only times I reach for another pair are for runs with extended stretches of technical rock, since the added cushion and fairly deep lugs on these decrease their sensitivity. That being said, they've still help up to short 5th class sections, and a shoe that performs better in technical terrain would be sacrificing the long-distance comfort that these have. Overall, I've really been impressed with what these shoes have handled. After a couple hundred miles in mine, they're still in good shape. I'll be getting another pair of these once it's time to replace them.

Bought these a month ago and loved every outing. Great for the mountains in Alaska. The sidewall offers good ankle support and the toe cap protects against the inevitable rock kick. Grips super well on rock and dirt. Equally as impressive uphill and downhill. Very impressed with these !

These are incredible shoes - definitely living up to why I love Arc'Teryx quality. They're lightweight, cushioned and somehow also very responsive! They are a really supportive shoe - both in the ankle hold and arch support. Black/white/red color way is even prettier in person and I've gotten lots of compliments. I got a Women's 9 (my usual size), but I could have sized down half a size. I overall I like the fit, though!

I bought an earlier version of the Norvan but the upper was too stiff. This one is absolutely perfect. I have been shopping for the perfect trail shoe for years. These Arc'teryx Norvan LD 3s are the best. The upper is firm but flexible, the Vibram sole is well - exactly what you would expect from a Vibram sole - sticky, and the looks are understatedly cool.

Really like these shoes. I had bought the Nirvana LD 2 and didn’t like so returned but took another chance on the 3’s and I’m glad I did. They are very comfortable, look great for everyday wear and are excellent on the trail for hiking. Hiked to a waterfall and through some tropical forest. Seems like the longer on the trail the more they just mold to your feet. Grip is great and has good flexibility while not compromising stability. As long as they hold up I will def buy again. Some people may not like the tongue as it’s a little different from normal shoes but I’ve gotten used to it and it doesn’t bother me.

This is my second pair of the Norvan LDs. These are great shoes for running, but they're also nice enough to wear into the office too, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. The support is excellent, which makes these comfortable both on long runs, and for long days of walking and standing for long periods. Highly recommend. My only critique would be that these can get pretty warm in the summer if you're body runs hot, but for multi-season/weather use these are stellar shoes.

I have been buying this shoe from the first Generation and the Ld3 nailed all the problems with the first models! I have currently been using this shoe leading up to training for cocodona 250. I used them at work lugging up sixty pound gravel bags up steep trails, road runs, and technical trail for training. These shoes are what I have been looking for that I could not find in all the other popular brands. They dry quick provide grip and comfort all day. They don't have crazy arches on the side of the sole and the lacing provides great comfort. I can confidentially say these shoes are amazing in my eyes because I used them for the 2023 cocodona 250 and truly tested the shoe in every aspect possible including my daily work life style! Like all the Arcteryx gear that has saved me in unexpected weather I will continue to use a brand that does not provide me with just okay products but goes beyond that! Thank you for making a an amazing shoe!

These shoes are so supportive and wonderful! I have had trouble finding a shoe with the right support and these are perfect. Support but not so much that they bother my hips. I have knee problems and these are great.

I've used the LD 3 as my training shoe for a year now, and have occasionally pressed it into use for big scrambling days. Here's a cross section of a normal week for these shoes: 1. 5K training run on town streets / dirt trails. 2. Vertical training run on steep local trails. 3. Grand Teton via Owen Spalding route. 4. Recovery run on gym treadmill. As you can see from the above, the shoe is hyper versatile, and I trust the rubber with my life. A few things to consider: 1. The shoe does not have a super tight toe box. This is great for comfort, but might leave you wanting something a bit more precise for sustained scrambling. 2. The rubber is very trustworthy once broken in, >50 miles or so. Out of the box, the sole is a bit hard for scrambling. 3. The Long Distance padding feels very nice at the end of a long day or recovery trot. Foot sensitivity is still more than adequate, but again a more precise shoe like the SL might be a better fit for ultra technical trails. I am a 10.5 in most USM shoes, and this sizing is perfect for me. Perhaps a bit on the large side, which is nice when accounting for altitude related swelling. The lace garage is such a nice, considered feature, as well - keeps everything nice and tidy when running hard.

I own quite a bit of Arcteryx with few regrets. I purchased Arc shoes when they first entered the shoe market which were good, not great. These are impressive. Wide toe box. My foot locks in nicely to a firm but comfortable heel. I'm a size 11 in most shoes and these are true to size. I have enough room in the shoe for a custom insole without sacrificing fit. These weigh approximately 10 grams less than my backpacking/hiking " go-to" with stock insoles. I've only hiked about 10 miles in these so far ( very comfortable) but I have high hopes for the sole endurance based on reviews and the Vibram Megagrip soles. Although I prefer a zero drop shoe, I plan on using these for hiking and backpacking.

This shoe runs true to size (or maybe slightly large). It has superb cushioning in the heal; nicely sized toe box, and with my own added arched inserts I get perfect support. Be careful when ordering (for size 9-9.5 US shoe order 7.5 UK size).

Put ~50km on them so far. They feel nice and light, great fit without too much contouring underfoot. They feel reasonably grippy on mixed ice/pavement conditions and perfectly fine for packed snow trails. I like how light they are for amount of squish - stack doesn't feel excessive. Only thing I'd change is make it easier to tuck the laces away after tying. The pouch on the tongue is somewhat difficult to access
