These are so narrow they bruised my feet on the outside metatarsal joint of my little toe. It is painfiul even with the shoes off now. I was trying to wear them in by mowing the lawn.

I bought the hiking shoes two weeks ago and tried them out right away. They are very comfortable and extremely light. I replaced the insole with my own and thus achieved even more cushioning when hiking. If you use hiking socks, you may have to choose a size larger.

My second pair, last ones lasted 4 years of use, mostly walking in trails and on the beach. Feet were always dry. I have a pair or Gortex Merrills as well and they are not waterproof. Excellent shoe

I took these boots on the Camino Frances (790 km) plus several practice hikes up the Canadian Rockies. Generally I like them. They fit well at first use - no breaking in required. However, the cord that serves as the lace eyelets broke at around 350 km. I had to repair them myself to get to the finish line. I contacted customer service to let them know about the design flaw but all they could say was to bring them to the store. I was in Spain! And I wouldnt be near an Arcteryx store for 3 months. I expected a better response from a design-centric company, especially as these are not inexpensive shoes. If you buy these shoes, just expect poor customer service if something goes wrong.

After completing several day hikes and a through hike of the Tonquin Valley in the fall - these boots really prove that a mid-height hiker can be an all rounder. The waterproofing the excellent, holding up to multiple days of walking through muddy trails. Like all mid-height hikers the ankle support is minimal, however the sole has a lot of lateral stiffness which comes handy when cross-hilling or walking over uneven terrain.
It would be fantastic if these boots had a built in soft-gaiter, however just using a standard short-gaiter worked in situations where you may end up with a large about of debris in the boot.
This boot is perfect if you are looking for a single boot and you mostly day hike, with the occasional overnight hike in your repertoire.

I ordered these to replace some Solomons that had a speed lace blow out and their CS said they couldn't help me, so I have these a try. I was worried about sizing as I had no experience with Arc shoes and I couldn't find any locally. I'd say they run fairly true to size, but narrow. I have a narrow foot too and at the end of the day when your foot swells a bit, it doesn't leave much room for foot splay.
When I first tried these on, I was not very happy with the comfort or feel. They were stiff and tight and not even comfortable sitting down. I had this feeling the first few times wearing these. I then wore these 3 days straight 8 hours a day and they finally broke in. Now they're pretty comfortable and extremely lightweight.
I knocked off a star due to the odd fit. I'm not sure if I would but these again or not.
They look great, are lightweight and have good grip from what I can tell.

Got this as a warranty replacement for the older model as that lost waterproofing after less than a year, and it's sadly not half as good as the previous ones. They are stiffer overall and have less cushioning. Plus, the upper material does not look as good.
Very disappointed.

I bought these about three weeks ago and so far they are great. I'll start by saying everyone has some personal preference on gear/shoes/etc. My preference for footwear is light form fitting and gore-tex. I used to use another brand religiously for the last ~8 years, however their build quality seems to be slowly decreasing. I think I have made the switch to Arc'teryx for good. I will buy these again, and again.

These are the excellent shoes, nice sleek design and dont have that bulbous look like Solomon shoes have. They are NOT a wide shoe (and are not offered in a wider option) so finding the right size (depending on your sock choice) is critical.

I am in law enforcement and wear these boots all the time at work. They are very sturdy and waterproof boots but I find the waterproofing material is not breathable and my feet get very hot and stinky.

This is my second pair of Aerios FL2 Mid GTX shoes. My first pair was great and were worn almost every day for the best part of a year. Soles eventually wore out. I got this second pair, 'upgraded' from last season for Christmas 2022. The shoe itself is great with the same grippy sole and water resistant features as my previous pair. However, one significant change is with the insole. Arcteryx have changed this from the Ortholite insoles that were in my old pair to a much thinner and what looks like a cheaper insole in the latest version. The Ortholite insoles were stable inside the shoe and stayed in place on walks and runs. The insole in the newer version of the shoe creeps backwards gradually when in use leaving a gap at the front of the toe box and the insole making its way up the back of my heel causing discomfort. On longer walks and runs I end up taking the shoes off two or three times to push the insole back in place. I have ended up using double sided tape to keep them in place but this causes an issue if they get wet as I take the insole out to dry them more rapidly meaning I have to replace the tape.

Especially for the price, these shoes have proved dissapointing. I really wanted to like them as I like the aesthetics. I'm usually a UK size 10 but the shoe was tight, particularly in the width. I returned them and ordered a half size up. The length was just okay but yet again the width made them uncomfortable. I have had to return them again. I thought maybe they might need a bit of wear but did not want to risk my refund. So yeah, I'm done!

I normally wear 11.5 Men's Medium, ordered size 12, but it was way too big, so I returned it and got a size 11.5M, it was also too big, so ended up returning it as well. The sizing of these shoes is off, narrow in the mid section and too long.

I really wanted to like these shoes as they seem like an excellent concept. Tried them on in store and fit like a glove. Unfortunately as soon as I started hiking on uneven terrain I realized there is next to no support due to the inability to lace the top of the shoe. While the main part of the shoe fits great, it leaves the top open for my ankle to float around in, also allowing all kind of trail debris and snow to easily come in from the top. Great shoe if you want to stroll around on flat surfaces but definitely would not recommend for hiking. The sole has amazing grip (hence two stars).

The shoe itself is amazing in term of hiking comfort and the support it is providing.
However, it is almost impossible to clean it, for the ones in light color.
I would like to bring to your attention an issue I encountered regarding the shoe's cleanability, particularly when purchased in a light color.
During my recent hiking trip to Yosemite, I noticed that the shoe accumulated a significant amount of dirt and grime. Despite my diligent efforts to clean it, I found it exceedingly challenging to remove the stains from the rubber bumper head and the main side cloth made of Gore-tex.
I dedicated several hours to researching and trying various shoe-cleaning products in an attempt to restore the shoe's original appearance, but unfortunately, none of them yielded satisfactory results. Consequently, I deeply regret purchasing the light-colored variant of this shoe, and I sincerely hope that improvements can be made in this regard.
I believe that addressing this issue would greatly enhance the overall customer experience for individuals who purchase the light-colored version. Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated, as I value your commitment to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
You can review the pictures below after a few attempts and a few hours cleaning.

Seemed like everything I needed in a shoe, but I had a small fall on a trail and ended up shattering my heel bone. Even the doctor was shocked as it takes A LOT of force to break the heel. So I am fairly concerned about the level of protection provided in the, base of foot, and absorbing impact at the heel obv...

I purchased a size 11.5 US, the same size I take in all other sports shoes. On a Brannock device, I'm a size 11 US due to arch-to-heel length, and a size 10 US due to toe-to-heel length. Though I really like everything else about these shoes, I cannot recommend them. The taper in the toe box means that the shoes pressed on both big and little toe. After a few break in hikes, I did a 17 mile hike last weekend. The side of the shoes resulted in huge blisters on both little toes and one big toe. I unfortunately need to sell them, potentially going to the very un-stylish Altra Lone Peak All Weather.

Nice shoes, comfortable and super light. Sole isn't grippy enough in my opinion for rough terrain. The main issue is that the shoes are not strongly built at all and they are now completely falling appart after normal usage. textile is ripping, glued component are coming off, laces loop are breaking. I need now new shoes. Honestly they're not worth their tag price.

I thought for the price these would be my favorite/most comfortable pair of shoes... unfortunately that wasn't the case. I live on an island in alaska so good quality comfy shoes are a must. I usually wear arc'teryx everything. Perhaps I may have to look at something else for shoes
