I wear these for urban and light countryside walks and more recently for a lot of rock climbing approaches and they're just perfect - super lightweight and easy to slip on and off around a crag too

My second pair, last ones lasted 4 years of use, mostly walking in trails and on the beach. Feet were always dry. I have a pair or Gortex Merrill's as well and they are not waterproof. Excellent shoe

Very stylish, black, not flashy, comfortable on the foot, waterproof, not slippery on rocks. In general, I find only pros and no cons. In my opinion they look better than in the photo. I can't say anything about durability because I've only been wearing them for a week.

Bought these to use on a 2024 AT thru hike and to replace the first version of the Aerios FL Mid shoe which were uncompromisingly comfortable while hiking the long trail, the presidential traverse, mount Marcy and mount Mansfield.

Bought these a couple weeks ago and so far, so good. Comfy out of the box. No pinching or slipping. Can't wait to test them on a longer hike. Very light weight!

I am so happy I decided to get this boot! I used it all through the rain season and not only is it comfortable from first time I put it on, but it is also very functional - amazing grip on different terrains, keeps water out and feet dry inside. Also it is stylish. At first i thought a black boot would not be so great for hiking but I ended up loving how versatile it is if you are trying to make it work with different outfits. All around, it makes me feel like I can concur any mountain!

I bought these about three weeks ago and so far they are great. I'll start by saying everyone has some personal preference on gear/shoes/etc. My preference for footwear is light form fitting and gore-tex. I used to use another brand religiously for the last ~8 years, however their build quality seems to be slowly decreasing. I think I have made the switch to Arc'teryx for good. I will buy these again, and again.

I bought these shoes about 1 year ago and I absolutely love them. I just use them for hiking and, so far, have been great! I have slightly narrow feet and these shoes wrap my feet perfectly well. They are comfortable, increadibly light and nimble. The goretex layer works great, making these shoes waterproof and breathable. Arc'teryx, please keep making these!

Please note, my review is for the original version of this shoe, the Aerios FL Mid GTX.
Time in use: 2 years, 4 months.
Environment: all year round in the UK (0 - 35 C), rain but no snow.
The Arc'teryx sizing chart suggested UK 8.5 for my 27 cm foot length. I followed my usual strategy of sizing up by a half size to attempt to provide more area for my wider forefoot. When the shoes arrived I took the footbed out of the shoe and stood on it to measure how much footbed protruded beyond my longest toe. There was an extra 1.5 cm, suggesting the UK size 9 is actually a good length for me.
My forefoot width is Brannock Device E. When I first tried the shoes on I thought I would have to return them for a larger size to get some extra width, but after loosening the laces at the forefoot the width was absolutely fine. After wearing them for a while, I replaced the Arc'teryx footbeds with my usual Formthotics (Original Single Medium) orthotic insoles. Even with the orthotics and thicker than normal socks taking up more volume inside the shoes, they are incredibly comfortable. I am in my early fifties, with a few aches and pains, but these shoes combined with the orthotic insoles have helped alleviate lower back and knee pain previously experienced after long walks.
These are the best fitting, lightest and most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They are very breathable and may feel a bit chilly in winter use for some people, but have been fine for me. I have not experienced any of the quality problems mentioned by some other reviewers for the more recent version of the shoe and they have remained impervious to rain.

I've worn these a lot in the past 5 months now through a UK winter, and I find them incredibly versatile. The key feature for me is the height of the back, which is high enough to keep out wet grass but low enough that the shoes are comfortable walking up-hill, down-hill and cycling. They are also adjustable enough to work with thick and thin socks. I find them a remarkably good all-rounder. So far at least, I haven't had any problems with wear and tear.

These are the excellent shoes, nice sleek design and don't have that "bulbous" look like Solomon shoes have. They are NOT a wide shoe (and are not offered in a wider option) so finding the right size (depending on your sock choice) is critical.

I owned the previous version of this shoe, and wore them until they failed but I loved them so I ordered the new version. Main problems of the first version appears to be fixed, and it still fits my feets perfectly.
I read reviews that they're not completely watertight...and quite honestly, after being in the army for 15 years and at some point, all shoes/boots wont be perfect and water will get in with all of them! From my experience, they are way better that a lot of the boots I had in the past.
I give them tough time, I'm a home inspector now and use them everyday: winter/summer, in attics, crawling in small spaces, outside in the rain and snow, in hiking on days off....little chilly in the snow but with merino socks I can go through a whole day in/out at -20 celsius. I combine with Neos winter overshoe when required.

I bought these shoes to hike with this summer and they were comfortable while they protected my feet. The Gore-Tex provided good waterproofing and I never experienced water getting inside. The Vibram soles were very grippy and I had no issues with slipping.

This is my second pair, the first pair held up exceptionally well with some hard use. The shoe is exactly what they describe. Fast and light so not an excess amount of cushion but great support.

The gortex layer makes it a very versatile shoe, suitable for lights hikes and even everyday use in the city. It is also very durable and comfortable.

I just got the Aerios GTX hiking shoes and love them so far! The narrow fit works extremely well for my feet-I typically struggle to find a comfortable fit for narrow feet. I think the Aerios are great for light hikes on chill terrain. Although they have the vibram sole that does provide good grip, I would not scramble in them just because of the limited ankle support.
