This model is more narrow in the forefoot and because the heel is deeper I have one foot that has the heel slip despite doing a box lace. Not sure if this will work for a half marathon without causing blisters and I'm not sure if I can just size down one foot because my toe is close to the top. Also, the sole is harder and I'd really like the luxe model back!!!

After two babies, my feet are officially wide with a bunion forming. I needed a shoe for CrossFit, running, etc. wide toe box = great. Two pairs had the toe tread rip off after 2 weeks of working out.

They ruined a perfect shoe with a hard plastic sharp tongue that slices your skin with each step! Toe box perfect, support perfect and then there's the tongue!

I really wanted to love these but unfortunately, they didn't meet my expectations. I have loved running in the Torin 5s, I trained for my last half marathon in the 5s. So, I thought the 6s would be great as well. The reason I love the 5s is because the toe box is bigger, I have wide feet so the 5s are perfect for me. I bought the 6s and even bought them in a wide and they're still narrower than the 5s. Love Altra Running shoes but these were a disappointment.

I love the toe bed and cushioning of this shoe. Paradigm was a little too cushy and Escalante was not cushy enough for me. I would give this shoe 5 stars if it weren't for the sharp tongue. No one should have to buy a whole new set/style of socks to accommodate a shoe tongue tongue.

Ordered the exact same size I have from the previous year. Seems much narrower in the toe box particularly at the widest part at the base if the toes. Hoping they stretch out but I did not have that same concern with my previous pair.

The wide version is fabulous for a problem foot with a previously broken toe (who doesn't have one of those?) But the only option available in the wide is dark navy. Please, give us more color choices!

It took me about 30 miles before the tongue broke in so that it wasn't so stiff and painful. I also have to make sure the bottom of the shoe is laced looser than the top so that the tongue isn't digging into my foot. Other than that, the fit is perfect and the cushion is great.

Feels good to run in but without higher socks to cover the tongue/ankle meeting, you'll get a blister.

Not sure about this shoe . Have it in other colors and they feel great. This doesn't feel like it was cut right and the tongues are flimsy. Tried wearing them a couple times for my walks but not. I'm usytgem for work while I sit as they don't bother me as much . Like I said I have other colors in this style but this one is not one of your better

I love these shoes but I had to send back bc they were too big. I have the 5s in a 9.5 bc they were short. The 6s seem true to size bc I ordered 9.5, and too big. They are being exchanged for 9's.

I want to love this, but don't yet. I switched to the Torin from Escalantes, for a little more cushion. I don't love the fit. The tongue slides down, and the heel hits too high. I just don't love them yet.

I have been wearing this shoe only for workout classes (weightlifting and bootcamp classes) only about 2-3 times a week. I only started wearing them on 14 November and the tread is already peeling bad. This shoe has been awesome and I love how much wider the toe is but I can't workout safely if the tread is buckling and flapping underneath me. Now I can't even return them because it's been more than 30 days since I bought them. I'm afraid I can't use them anymore now.

These aren't worth the money, just because they are already starting to fall apart. The soles r starting to separate in a few places and Ive only had them for 3 weeks. Will return them or exchange them for another pair.

I bought these for long runs. The cushioning is perfect for that, as my feet stay comfy throughout. The width is fine for me; in the past I have bought my true-to-size though these are on the cusp of needing to go one size up for me. Here's my issue: the tongue! The front of my shin has blistered on long runs thanks to the tongue being too long and too hard. The first time it happened I should have known better than wearing ankle socks. When the blister healed and I took them out again for another long run, I wore compression sleeves on my calves. I still blistered through this! Did the team not test these out before putting them out to market? I wouldn't say I have particularly sensitive skin. I actually can't remember the last time I had a blister before this. I love these shoes and wish I could wear them for long runs but alas, they have been relegated to short runs. These shoes would be perfect with the Escalante or Rivera tongue.

Sole is much harder than my Torin 4.5. Back of shoe comes up a lot more which was uncomfortable for me. I ordered a 7.5 since my paradigms are 7.5 but they were too big. I really liked the colors of the shoe.

The tongue is better but it is still an issue. Please bring back the soft, padded tongue.

These fit well. My heel felt hugged and they felt good while walking around. Unfortunately, these weren’t the best for running. I felt very flat footed while I ran. I also didn’t care for the style. I just couldn’t get over how they looked from the top. Bummed because I really wanted to like that’s.

Jog on trail. Disappointed in fit of Torin 6. Three pairs of Torin 4.5 Plush were wonderful for me but Torin 6 pinches my toes and I'm developing new calluses at tips of 2 or 3 toes so far. I probably should have tried a half size larger.

This is the best running shoe for people who need wide toe boxes, like myself, however I don't like the price. It is comfortable on my feet but I hate the shoestrings! They are too long and I have to tie them into three loops and they still keep coming untied. What happened to old fashioned normal length cotton shoe strings? Not sure I will buy this product again. I absolutely LOVED my Altra Torin 3.5 shoe - that was perfect in every way and wish I could still get that shoe.

Pros: wide toe box and comfortable on the bottom of the foot Cons: blah colors, tongue scratches and irritating to skin, can't figure out if the shoe is too tight around the ankle or the design around the ankle is too high Overall: I wouldn't buy again and hate that I had my foot evaluated and this was determined the best Altra for me. I only wear these to work and they irritate my ankle area so much that I'm waiting to break skin if I continue to wear.

I love Altra running shoes, but these fit smaller than what I have had in the past. I would order a half size larger if you're interested in these.

I moved away from Torin when the 5 came out to the paradigm and the prodigy - I was hoping they would have fixed the tongue with the 6 - I love the shoe, but my the front of my ankles are bleeding.

I've been waiting for the new version of this shoe and everything is perfect but the tongue :( It's way too long and still cuts into my foot. So disappointing. I can't believe after the backlash over the last version they wouldn't have made extra sure to fix this problem. Hopefully the next will be prefect.

So close, Altra. Overall, it's a great shoe, but there are two issues that make it unwearable for me: 1. It's extremely hot. There's really no ventilation and my feet are burning up in them after a walk around the block. The material is a tight knit with little breathability and there are large plastic logos that don't ventilate. Lastly, the tongue is still weird and hard and it doesn't breathe either. 2. Yes, the very tip of the tongue (5mm?) is softer but the tongue itself is stiff and puts pressure on the top of my foot. Please make a softer and more breathable upper, Altra, and you'll win me back.
