This is the best shoe I have ever purchased. I am 66 and walk a lot with my Belgian Malinois. I bought these to take on our Ireland trip in May. They are true to size and no break in time when I received them. After wearing them, I purchased my husband a pair of 6 Gore-tex and will now purchase my grandson a pair to take with us. I do not have to add any inner soles for extra padding in this shoe to walk long distance.

These shoes were comfortable coming out of the box- no break in time needed. They fit true to size, provide great support and look amazing. I highly recommend.

I have never owned a pair of Salomon shoes before and I am a fan. These shoes are very comfortable and the perfect hiking shoes. I wore these trekking through Costa Rica in the rivers and in the jungle and the mud. These held up superbly and had the best traction in the mud. I will 100% buy these again, highly recommend.

I bought these shoes to run behind my sons pee-wee dirt bike race. It was a muddy mess today and the first time I wore these shoes. They did amazing and allowed me to keep up with him through all the hills and mud! I never slipped even once! My feet stayed nice and dry and they were easy to wash with hot water when I came home. All the mud slid ride off with minimal scrubbing. Highly highly recommend these shoes!

A great waterproof hiker/trail runner. Relatively lightweight. Very comfortable. Great lacing system - watch the video to see the proper way to hide the laces in the hidden pocket

Only worn them a few times but very good so far. My 4th pair of Salomons. I wore out the last pair. I walk 3 miles every morning and Salomons are my go to. I have 3 nuromas and these offer good metatarsal support

This summer, my last pair of Salomons (that I loved) had worn out. I decided why not try something new just for fun because I had purchased Salomons for many, many years. My new purchase was very good but honestly I had to almost immediately buy another pair of Salomons because nothing comes close for me. I love the way they securely and comfortably hug my feet. The special closure system helps alot with achieving that. The Goretex Waterproofing is always effective and I love the stability, security and traction of the bottom of the shoe over any terrain (including pavement hahaa). What else do you need?! This new shoe is a little lighter weight and less clunky than my previous pairs which I do like. Thankfully they retain all the most important benefits previously mentioned. I got my husband a pair too. He is also a serial Salomon user like me. Buy a pair - you'll love them.

I bought these as a gift for someone whom plays softball. They are beautiful. They are comfortable and they have super traction. Great support. Cant wait to watch them in action.

A very sturdy sole, supportive shoe, and waterproof! Love the drawstring laces that tuck away to stay clean and out of site for your hike. Might be a bit warm, but have yet to use in warm weather.

My second year in a row buying this shoe. Its now my go-to for rain, snow, dirt & dust! The shoe fits my foot great, the traction & construction are super solid and the gortex makes it unbeatable

My brother bought me my first Salomons over twenty years ago, and they have lasted me until recently. I only wear them in bad weather and thats usually all winter here in Virginia. So I was thrilled to finally replace them with another pair of excellent shoes. They were comfortable immediately, I have seen shoes that LOOK similar for less money, but Inwouldnt trade quality construction and materials for the world. Highly recommend!

I have these shoes in every color! I know theyre made for trails and hiking which I do use them for, but I also use them as my run around shoes! Theyre wide for my foot and create the right fit for my high arches too! I love love love these shoes and will continue to buy them as new colors come out!

I love my ortholite Gore tex Salomons so much I am buying another pair. They are perfect for dog walking in New England weather. They give me great grip and traction on or off trails. I recommend these all the time to friends and family. A matter of fact, I bought these because of a recommendation from a family member. They also keep my feet warm and dry in unpredictable Boston weather. Enjoy!

While I love the aesthetics of this shoe.it is poorly made. The top flap that wraps at the tip of the shoe is starting to come off. I am not avid hiker so this is quite disappointing its already happening at the year mark of purchasing this shoe. My feet also gets quite hot in this material, so I opt to use thinner socks. I have worn these shoes less than 10 times in one year. 80% is for city walking and the other 20% was for light hikes. I recently purchased the wider fit since this model fits more on the narrower side. Now I will be returning my new purchase and will make the most of this $165 pair of shoes :(

I bought this to augment my hiking boot collection I was planning on taking to Iceland during the rainy season. I found these actually to be my most comfortable option and took to wearing them most days unless I knew we had deeper water to cross. Very comfortable, great grippy sole and waterproof. Also - these are surprisingly light which makes them easy to pack and carry too.

I got my first pair of Solomon's a couple of years ago. They were finally worn enough, I needed a new pair. They last a long time and are really comfortable. I walk a couple of miles a day on concrete and these shoes keep my feet and shins feeling good.

I purchased these colorful SpeedCross 6 Gore-Tex for everyday hiking and they are not what I have come to expect. I have been wearing this model for about 7 years - same size. I hike at least 5 miles / day in the PNW. I wore these out once and surprise! This version is smaller and lower cut, not as supportive as previous versions of this model. I felt like I was wearing a ballet shoe on the mountain and my toes wear hitting the end. I paid full price and now will have to buy something else and cannot return these based on their return policy. I do love the color - so fun - but will probably end up donating these :( Soooo disappointing from Salomon - my standby for recreational footwear.

A sales associate in a shoe department recommended the SC6's to me since she was a hiker. I was reluctant at first, but I'm so glad I did! I use these for hiking, not running. They are the most comfortable all-day hiking shoes I've ever had. Great support, fit like a glove, nice traction from the grippy soles...I just can't say enough good things about them. My feet do not get tired - even when hiking mountains all day. I recently ordered the Gore-Tex version for a trip to Patagonia. Once again, they felt like home as soon as I slipped them on.

Im not afraid to spend money on shoes. Im always in the search for something that is comfortable that provides great arch support and that looks good. I found the perfect trifecta in the speed cross series. Ive had speed cross four, speed cross, five, and speed cross six. I currently own five pair. No joke! Absolutely love these shoes. They look good out on the town, on a hike or even on the golf course. Cant talk highly enough about these shoes. The only drawback is they wear out so fast. The soles are soft, but thats what makes them so comfortable. I have two pair of the Gore-Tex and absolutely love them.

I've been raving to my wife about my Sali's and finally just bought her a pair to try. She loves em! Nice aggressive tread pattern to help grip for hiking the Wasatch but comfortable for her to use as an everyday shoe.

I don't run anymore but hike on hilly dirt trails and find these shoes to be safer than flat-soled shoes. I'm enjoying them!

I bought my second pair of these shoes just a few weeks ago. I love that they are not overly cushioned and I can feel the different surfaces I run on. My only complaint is that I have narrow feet and my heels slide around a bit. Because of the lacing system (which I actually enjoy) there is no way to create an "ankle lock" and fix this issue.

These shoes are so comfortable and of excellent quality. I highly recommend.
