I can always rely on Merrell for their fit and comfort, they usually fit me perfectly right out the box with no break-in needed, and these were no exception. The support and feel is great! For an insulated winter boot, they could be a little warmer, but so far that hasn't been a deal breaker.
Unfortunately, mine have started to leak on the outside of the foot at the toes after only a couple of months of normal wear. This has been a disappointment, as I can usually get at least a year and a half before a waterproof boot starts to leak.

Very supportive and comfortable but not as warm as I hoped. Wearing wool blend socks, my toes still got cold at -4 C which is not very cold. I bought merino wool socks with a higher wool content to help.

Just wore them this week as weather has been great. Warm, comfortable but thought they'd have better ice grips! Was disappointed (and hurting!) when I fell

These boots (MOAB 3 Thermo Mid WP) are perhaps the first ever pair of Merrell footwear that I have been disappointed with. I specifically bought the WP (waterproof) version for my daily walks and hikes through the subdivision and local snow-covered trails. Today, wearing them for only the third time on my morning walk on pavement, albeit though snow and slush, I could feel the top of my toes getting slightly damp. This was like no more than 20-25 minutes or so in. These boots are NOT waterproof. The issue appears to be the textile insert on top of the toes instead of a one-piece suede or PU leather design, you got there apparent-fabric cut-outs, and since the slush is hitting against the front of the boot, the "waterproof membrane" simply cannot deal with the moisture. No matter really if it the Merrell-branded membrane or Goretex, they are all similar.
I own several pairs of Merrell winter boots, of varying warmth-levels, and the others are all perfect in winter weather. These ones are not. These actually replace a similar pair (with 200 grams of Thinsulate) that I have worn for years and the soles are now almost flat - these have never gotten wet inside. I also have the warmer suede version with more insulation, and a PU leather version with 100 grams of insulation.
Having said all that, the fit and comfort are everything I expected. However, as it now stands, I may not be willing to wear my new boots tomorrow unless the damp front inside dries out overnight so incredibly disappointing.

There was no cushion and my feet hurt after just a few minutes. I was so heartbroken bc I have an old pair of Merrells (2004) and I STILL love them but these just did not work.

Arch support seemed to be misplaced and was painful. I couldn't wear these shoes.

I got these back in December because they were on sale and I had a trip booked for May. I tried them on and they were fine but when I did use them for actual hiking there were not comfortable at all. I had blisters on my big toe and they hurt my ankle. I would not recommend these boots. It's a shame because I loved my Moab 2.

No support. After 2 days in these my hips and knees were killing me. I'm on my feet all day. I will never buy a pair of Merrell boots or sneaker's again

Don't buy unless you want walking shoes that get wet very fast even with extra protection

Purchased these boots as winter boots. Well today we had our first snowfall, barely two inches of snow and with thermal socks on, by the time the hour long walk was done, my toes were very very cold, HORRIBLE BOOTS!!!

Sent mine back. It was uncomfortable and the arch of the boot pressed against the side of my foot. Very disappointed since I liked my last pair of boots.
