I thought they were very comfortable straight out of the box. I wore them to the Bass Master Classic Expo in Knoxville, Tn. and covered a lot of ground during the day. Very impressed so far.

I love my new Moab 3s. They are super comfortable, waterproof, and stylish. I bought them for a trip that I am currently on-Italy, Hungary, Austria and Slovakia. In 3 weeks I have walked over 150 miles. My only comment is that the laces don't stay tied and I need to double knot them.

Surprisingly comfortable from the first day on. Good support. Wore them 10-12 hrs daily for a week. Feet stayed dry thru rain & light snow. Good traction.

These are pretty comfortable out of the box. They do feel a little strange like the soles are uneven and it makes it seem like you're walking on a rocky surface. Hoping after they break in a little they'll feel more level. I love that they are warm and waterproof. I felt confident walking in muddy, snowy terrain. Sizing felt right on. I wear a 5 and normally can't find women's boots in a 5 that aren't too big. Definitely will be buying merrell boots from here on out!

I've had a great time in my Moab 3 Thermo Mid Waterproof for the past few weeks. I like to walk daily 2-4 miles with several inches of snow on the ground. They didn't need any breaking in and they keep my feet warm and dry in the snow and through lots of ice and slush puddles. I wear a size 7 for running and athletic shoes and the 7 mid-boot was a perfect fit. I haven't had any hot spots or rubbing after my long walks. The shoelace hooks at the top of the boot will get caught on things - I occasionally wear traction cleats in icier conditions and they will get caught on the hooks. I also have to tuck in the shoelaces or the loops will get caught. If I wear longer pants that cover the top of the boot it's not a problem. Obviously if I posthole some snow gets in the boot but I typically try to avoid that. They're great boots with awesome tread and I hope they last several seasons.

I love these boots! I've been buying Merrell Moab boots for as far back as I can remember. They are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever owned, no uncomfortable breaking in period. Comfy right out of the box. I size up a little to allow room for a heavy sock, I do a lot of winter hiking.

I live in Utah and it has been a huge winter. I wear these boots all day and they are amazingly comfortable, warm and truly waterproof! The soles have a new anti-slip design providing stability in snow and ice! I love them so much i bought them as gifts for my friends.

I bought these boots about a couple of months ago. I broke my ankle a year ago and my ankle still does not like to have anything near it when I hike. But, the wide with was my answer! The shoelaces are also plenty so I can leave the boot a bit looser than the other foot. These wide width boots are so comfortable right out out of the box! These are not my first pair of Merrell hiking boots and will not be my last!

Well made boot. I have a somewhat narrow foot and am finding this width a bit wide for me. I had no issues with a previous Merrel medium width. An extra sock helps.

These were a replacement for an old pair of insulated boots. They are a bit heavier and stiffer than the last ones, but the fit is good and they definitely keep my toes warm.

Good shoes. I live in Whistler and wear them everyday and so far so good. The grip on ice isn't has good as the last pair I had, but overall no problems.

I love the fit of these boots so much that these were the second pair I bought... but after being on my latest trip (to Moab!) I won't buy insulated boots again. We were doing 6- 12 mile winter hikes in and around Arches and Canyonlands. There was some snow on the ground and temps were in the 30s - 40s. After wearing these for 2 hikes, one almost 12 miles, my toes were really sore due to my feet swelling in the insulated boots. I switched back to wearing my older non-waterproof, non-insulated Moabs for the rest of the trip and was much happier. If the temps were colder, I might have been fine but if the temps are over 35 degrees, I won't wear the insulated boots on a long hike. These are now for shorter winter walks where my feet won't get too hot!
