They help balance and the overall experience when lifting weights. Be sure to go up at least half a size, if not more as the shoes are narrow and the toe box narrower.

The Powerlift 5 weightlifting shoes are very comfortable and secure with the lace and velcro fastening. The stack height makes squating easier, and the sole is very stable.

Had a pair before and purchased size slightly big but I def liked them for squatting. After some time decided to get a correct size and now I like them even more. Wear my original size in these.

This is my first time wearing specific shoes for strength training. I found they helped keep my foot much more stable than my barefoot sneakers while doing split squats, etc. They're sized unisex, so pay attention to size when ordering.
