Nice comfortable boots. They look good and wear better.

My favorite shoe. I had a pair of these that I hiked all over the country, and even Mt Sinai in--fabulously comfortable. My only druther is they run large. I usually where a 10-10.5B, but a 10 is big (I think I forgot that my Egypt boots were 9.5, so hopefully I remember next time). They go with everything, and wear well. The basic terrain model is not waterproof, but I preferred that for spring/summer hiking (I wear duck boots when it rains anyway).
Ariat as a brand is just consistent. I like that, once I know my size, it works over the years--all I need to do is remember the size, and stop giving away my old boots : )
Okay, Ariat, something is wrong with the rating site. When I try to move the "Fit" midway between "True to size" and "Too big," the marker will not budge. This boot runs 1/2-1 full size large (typical Ariat, so I should have remembered), depending on the thickness of your socks, and how much your feet swell doing hard work each day.

I just got my Ramblers today to replace a pair of Ariat boots that had been worn down. I normally get a size 11 but i noticed that after breaking them in my feet stretch the sides so i bought a 12 in hopes to not have the 'boot wider than the sole' problem. Only concern is after breaking in if they will be too big. Also i dont see any visible stitching on the sole, are they ONLY glued or is there hidden stitching?

Great fit, haven't really worn yet as I have an old pair that I'm wearing through some of the mud season.

I had major surgery on my right foot, which both made it longer and resulted in my no longer being able to bend it at the toes. I have since sought a replacement boot for my beloved classic Vasque leather hiking boots, with enormous frustration. Current hiking styles tend to have significant rocker toe (which is excruciatingly painful on fused and pinned big toe joint after an hour or so) or be impossible to unlace far enough to accommodate my planked foot. I am very pleased to report that not only can I enter these boots without difficulty, but they have been comfortable after several hours of wear. My only complaint is a bit of chafing at the ankle on my left foot, but I am expecting that this will resolve over time. I hope to these boots for many years.

Nice shoes but hit right at the top of the ankles and they rub so it is uncomfortable. I'm sure they will break in, in time.

They fit my foot good but the top part is to wide. I never wore boots before but I would like the leg part a little snug

Comfort is the number one reason I bought these boots, but be assured they look just as good! The size 8 ran true to size and took very little breaking in to become my new favorites.

My second pair of these boots. Great boot for casual wear, hitting the streets or hiking. Only issue, these boots are not ideal for all terrains. Not ideal for wet, or slick surfaces.

Very comfortable for those on their feet all day. The lacing system needs improvement; the lacing tends to loosen up and it is hard to keep the top from getting too loose.

They're a little tight across the top of my right foot. Hopefully it'll get better as they get broken in.

The fit is snug. I'd get a half size up at least. Maybe even a whole size if you intend to wear thick socks.

I've had 3 pairs of these boots. The style, comfort and being fairly waterproof have made these my favorite by far. My only complaint would be the stitching separates especially around the black trim guards on the front sides. Even my local tack shop was surprised to see this. I'll still buy another pair, I like riding in them. Their soles far outlast the timberland boot.

Boot was way to big, despite me typically being a size 10, I needed a size 8.5. otherwise seems good quality for the price

These shoes run very large. Had to return original order for smaller size. Color is much darker than shown in most pictures and from what I've seen in person.

I ordered the distressed brown which shows the lighter color boot, which is what I wanted. When I received the boot it was indeed the darker brown boot. Please correct the pictures of your boots. They are not right. I will reorder, but now I've lost my 10% first order discount. Booo....

Comfortable, durable, quality boot. I wear these daily for work where I can be walking up to 12 miles per day. They have held up remarkably.

I needed a boot for this fall and really liked the look of this one and the glowing reviews it got, especially the short break in time. Unfortunately I am experiencing some heal rubbing and dont know what to do to help it. Any ideas?

I am on my third round of these. I ride in them multiple times a week stomp in the mud and walk around town. My only reason for not giving a 5 star- the cushioning would be improved, when I try other Ariat boots the cushion is much softer and more supportive.
