Just got my first pair of Hoka shoes (Speedgoat 5 GTX) and they are really comfortable. Took them for a spin around the house on a quick one mile dog walk. Love them but....I hope the "crinkle" sound goes away. It sounds as though I'm walking on crumpled up plastic. I'm hoping it is the "Vibram Megagrip with Traction Lug" that is "super grippy" and will wear down a bit.

Overall, a great design, but it seems like the toe box tapers too much. It doesn't allow enough room for toes.

Before I forget, the fact that it's tough to get size WIDE is my number one complaint I, don't even have wide feet, but I noticed when I wear WIDES in any brand they last twice as long. I've been documenting this with pictures for awhile now and no wearing a size up doesn't help. I did that for the Bondis and they did not last very long. If I don't wear wide, my shoes wear out and as little as four months!!!
Just to keep it simple I got the speed goat 5 GPX and I really just don't like the plastic wrap around in the front but that's the least of my concerns. Mine had creases in it that by the tow box. It looks like they stretched a piece of rubber around but not smoothly enough.
Longtime fan I've been wearing these since speed goat 2. Everything in the front on the top of the shoe feels way too light. The tongue is way too thin and the new part that goes around the ankle just doesn't feel long enough. And it makes the front of the shoe feel way too light underneath the shoe is great, but the shoe just doesn't feel like it has my foot there. I don't like that feeling. I do like the red design. But I did not like any of the last couple speed goats before this. And I don't like the speed goat six with the giant logo on the front , I don't know. I feel like changing too much around they should have what's called "classics." I noticed Diadorra does this. Like have a couple classics that are unchanged that we could buy. Have a "classics" or vintage section of Shiraz's The new ones have just really let me down. I'm just being honest I'm not trying to be mean or too critical. I really wanna like these. This is my third pair I believe that I've returned over the past few years, not only the manufacturing off, but in general, I just haven't liked a lot of recent styles, etc and I really don't like this feel. It's too light on the top. Need more cushion in the tongue and it needs to be longer.

The shoes are quite comfortable and definitely suit my needs. Unfortunately, they are a much lighter grey compared to the image in the online store so I can't use them at work as I intended.

The shoes are too narrow and not meant for wide feet, even with their wide shoes for this particular shoes.

Fit and size was excellent. The sole wore out prematurely and the padding was poor so that I could very much feel my feet supranating, I have had several pairs of Hokas and it generally hasn't happened with them until they were at the end of there wear cycle, typically 6 months.

I bought these for trails and with weather coming I went for the GTX. Good shoe but really heavy. Understandable to some degree with all the extras, but too much for me. I love my Mach 4's and am biased about how light they are so fair is fair. Would love to have the Mach line in GTX somehow and keep the weight--that would be perfect! Good grip and true to size though FYI.

I bought these in GTX (waterproof) because I work in plumbing and sometimes my feet get wet. However, the GTX causes these shoes not to allow my feet to breathe, and for the first time in my life (I'm 31) I have athletes foot. These shoes are the cause. I am very disappointed. I cannot return them because it is past my 30 day window, so now I have a pair of almost $200 shoes that I can't wear daily.
Giving 3 stars because they are still comfy to work in, but not giving 5 cause of how much they make my feet sweat.

Great fit and comfort but disappointed in the actual color. The description reads red but the color is more like coral.

The shoe is wonderful and super supportive, as I have come to expect from HOKA shoes. I was however somewhat disappointed with the color. The image makes it look more of a true red and it defiantly is very orange/red.

This new model Speedgoat 5 isn't as cushioned as the Speedgoat 4. The chat representative said the 5 is upgraded from the 4.

I got a pair of Hoka one from a friend who, unfortunately passed away. He was a 12.5 EE.
They fit really well so I decided to order me the speed goat. However, they did not have a EE. I thought no worries, I never have purchased an EE for myself and a 12.5 should be good. However, it does feel narrow.

The shoe is great but I mainly bought because of the vibrant deep red color shown in pictures. They're more of an orange fire red when they arrived. Still great shoe but just a pretty big let down on the advertisement color.

The color on the website is obviously a beautiful saturated red and black. In actuality, the shoe is a dull orange color. Nothing even close to the advertised color. This is in no way an issue of lighting. I've seen these shoes in multiple lighting setups, and they are always a dull orange. Hoka needs to make the color scheme pictured, and I would actually buy again. Until then, please fix the picture as to not mislead customers.

I ordered the shoes because I loved the bold red color combined with the black. However, the shoes that arrived are actually bright orange, which looks terrible with jeans and other clothes. It's like someone posting a picture of themselves tall with a full head of hair, only to show up to the date short and bald. Disappointing. It shouldn't be so difficult to ensure the advertised color is accurateit would save time for customers who end up frustrated and needing to exchange or return their order.
