I use it as a regular walking/wearing shoe. I get compliments every time I wear it. One issue - the tongue area rubbed a blister onto the top of my foot. I rarely wear socks, but I'll have to with Hokas :( I live in the desert (Phoenix) and socks are a pain - bummer.

Made holes inside of shoes after using a month. This was my 3rd Mach pairs. First two were excellent and I ran over 500Km on each shoes and nothing bad happened although bottom of shoes get worn down faster than other brands. 3rd pair was the worst. Some reason suddenly holes appeared inside of shoes and now uncomfortable to run with it. Maybe I just got the bad one but not sure about future purchase. Time to switch brand again.

Shoes are great! At first they made my ankles and knees sore when running but now they feel wonderful. I guess I just needed to break them in.

I love running but after years of foot pain and inserts to help reduce plantars fasciitis, to the point where I would limp some days, I wondered if I would ever find the right shoe. Enter Hoka Mach 5, I was previously wearing Clifton's which were ok but still was having issues. Honestly, I originally bought a pair because I liked the white with gold lettering and wasn't expecting much. Currently, I own 5 pairs that I rotate. No inserts needed, no foot pain, like literally no plantars fasciitis since I started wearing these exclusively. I run 3-4 days a week, run races in them, even walked all day in Disney World in them. These have been a game changer for me, continue bringing those new fresh color ways! I am a true size 8 in my running shoes and that's what I take in these!

Feels just like my previous Mach 4 to me...which is a good thing: I really liked those. Lightweight, comfy cushioning, and a rocker that takes me feel fast. Like all Hokas they run almost half a size large, so I bought my usual size 10 (instead of sizing up) which still gives me a bit of extra room in the toe box. In terms of looks, don't love the longish shape (also have Cliftons and Rincons for recovery that look more attractive), so got them in inconspicuous black, again.

Transitioned to Mach 4, then Mach 5, after disappointing revamp of Clifton. LOVE the MACHbut like the option to thread my shoestrings through the tongue to stabilize it, because tongues slide to outside of my foot.

I work in healthcare and am on my feet for over 8 hours a day. I have heard many great reviews on HOKAS in general being Comfortable to wear all day long. I finally broke down a bought a pair and I am SO glad I did. These shoes are so comfortable to wear all day for multiple days in a row. My feet do not hurt at all at the end of a busy work week!

Using the sizing guide in the website, I purchased the size I wear with Nike. The Hoka Mach 5 was too big (lengthwise). Additionally, I wanted something more plush. The return process was simple and the customer service agents were very helpful. I ended up exchanging this for Arahi 6 in a 6.5D (wide) and it fits great!

I went to a store that sold several styles of HOKA's. Tried all of them on, there were a couple I liked but the Mach 5 fit better and was lighter. They did not have the wide in stock, so I ordered the size I needed. These shoes have been great, so much so, that I found a wide on sale from a different site and ordered another color. The only thing I would say, that's not really negative in my opinion, is the color I really wanted you do not offer in a Wide. That would be my only issue, but it's not enough to give it a lower rating.

Heading to Disneyworld and everyone talks about Hokas and how amazing they are so I jumped on the bandwagon and ordered them. Putting them on they do feel like I'm walking on big puffy clouds but apparently my feet are not used to this type of maximalist sole and my feet must strike the ground differently in these because I can't wear them for more than an hour without developing shin splints. I keep trying for short bursts of time but every single time.shin splints. What a waste of money.so sad. :(

This shoe is very light and extremely responsive. I enjoy running road races with it very much. My only negative, and it's about almost all shoes, is that it doesn't really come in my size. I have an extremely narrow foot. I would like to wear a size 10 A width. What I am buying is a woman's size 11, which is a B width. It just barely fits, but so do almost every other shoe I've tried.

I love these shoes! They fit perfectly, and are the best shoes that I have found for overall comfort.

I'm in healthcare on my feet all day and the Mach 5 is my go to, comfortable, lightweight and breathable.. just the best

The Mach 5 was recommended to me by a orthopedic surgeon. I really love these shoes! I'm not a runner - I just want to be able to walk comfortably, and with these I can. I feel like I'm walking on clouds, pillows, whatever..... I do use an added arch support and I am careful when lacing them up. Very pleased with my purchase and will be ordering more, I can tell.

Love this shoe! It is comfort right out of the box! Good cushion and supportive.

I wear my new Hoka sneakers, for walking our dogs and for running errands. They are so stylish, in the pretty green and bright, blue colors, and I feel like I am walking on a cushion. They are so comfortable, and I have had 2, bunion, foot surgeries and also broke my ankle badly and had ankle surgery, over a year ago, and these shoes are so good for anyone who has foot or ankle problems or just want some very cozy shoes to wear doing everyday activities. I feel like I am walking on a cloud, wearing my Hoka shoes, and I am very pleased, with these well made and very comfy shoes.

I'm a nurse and there has been such a difference in how my knees and lower back feel after a 12 hour shift with my Hoka sneakers on! I will definitely wearing the Hoka brand from now on!

I sized up a 1/2 size to 7 1/2 however had too much room in the tie box so returned and got a 7 and they are perfect in length too. I've usually purchased 7 1/2 in other sneakers so as to not cramp the toes. There is plenty of room in the 7. Feel so light and supportive at the same timecolor is the orange nice and they look really cool too! -highly recommend i would safely say that if you normally size up -don't

This is a gift for a friend who's a runner. She told me this is the her first running shoes that has the perfect fit and the most awesome cushion and comfort!

Returned because right shoe felt less cushioned than left shoe. Not sure if shoe was used that I received or if it was supposed to feel like thy

This is my second pair that I purchased. I absolutely love the shoes....but there is no consistency with sizing. I purchased one size in a different style and it is almost too small. Decided to try have a size bigger in another style and it was like putting on clown shoes. So I ordered this one the same size as my first pair and the shoe is almost too big. While I love the shoe I decided to not purchase them online and to buy in store only until the sizing is figured out! But I definitely recommend! They are so light and comfy despite the size struggles!
