I had high hopes for the 'Hoka Bondi 8' -- and went onto the waitlist to wait for a 9.5 wide to be in stock. But despite Hoka calling the shoe a 'wide' -- it was not really wide at all. I think it 'might have been' a really nice shoe otherwise - as the drop would have been suitable, and the cushioning seemed fine. But unfortunately, I don't think there is a solution with that particular style for my foot. If I were to reorder a 10 wide I don't that would be a good solution- as the shoe would most likely be too long. The length of the 9.5 was fine -- the issue was with the width being much too narrow.

I bought these shoes because the Bondi7 was the highest rated for people who stand all day. Bondi7 was not available. I can only wear these shoes for 2-3 hours before the sides of my feet hurt and my toes go numb, so I have to switch to a different brand of shoe to wear the rest of the day. If they weren’t so expensive, they would already be in the garbage. I keep wearing them the 2-3 hours hoping to break them in.

The material was too stiff and the ankle of the shoes hurt my ankles as I was trying them on. The ankles were very hard and stiff. I will return them as I have no place my life for the discomfort that they cause! Hope this helps!

These are my first Hokas. They seem to be more narrow than I would expect. Many reviewers said they were wide. I do not feel they are like "walking on clouds" as many many said. They are fine. I have worn Brooks Glycerin for many years as a nurse working long shifts on my feet and now as a grandmother chasing after 2 little boys. Brooks was always great until they changed, making their shoes more stiff. Hence the change to Hoka. I will continue the search. These will do in a pinch right at the ball of my foot.

Do not like the look

My first Hoka sneaker. Feels more like a work out when walking in them .It is not a cushioned sole. I walked all day and my entire body feels tired from it , not just my feet. The shape in the front section is somewhat odd as well.

Size was true to fit

I liked these shoes, but what made me return them was the sole insert. When I put on the shoe, I could feel the edge of it digging into my instep and knew what was moderate discomfort when trying on would become major discomfort when walking. Other than that, great style and great fit.

sent them back they make your feet look huge. colors are nice but don't get the big deal with these shoes.

I've had 2 pair of Bondi 7 which my feet loved. Since no sevens were available I tried the 8. I can get my wide orthotics inside, but not as easily. But why is the tongue sewn to a piece of fabric which doesn't allow it to move to the center with my wide inserts?? I may cut it out since I can't find any sevens. This is probably fine for narrow feet, but mine are wide with high arches.

Fit smaller even though I ordered 1/2 size up and a wide.

Shoe style is very unattractive and a very odd shape. I just didn’t want to wear them out of the house.

Way too narrow, if you've worn any Bondi line shoes in the past then get a wider size. But none are available because it's obviously an issue with the Bondi 8,

Chose another style Hoka.

These were a gift for my daughter-in-law who is on her feet all day. The first day she wore them she cried because they hurt her feet. The second day was a little better. I was hoping that these shoes would be good right out of the box.

I am very disappointed in this years Bondi. The toe box has been narrowed and I am wearing a hole in both heels after a month. This has happened with 3 different pairs! Bring back the old bondi!!!!

i've been looking for a shoe with a sole as comfortable as the sketchers shape ups were, and read reviews saying these shoes are like walking on clouds. they may be for some people, it's possible that because of my job my feet are so beaten up that i can no longer tell. but trying these on in my room with a soft carpet floor, i knew i couldn't walk on them for 8 hours on concrete, so back they have to go. also, i have a high arch, and these didn't feel like they had any arch support.

As popular as Hokas are now, unfortunately they didn't work for me.

Was surprised how narrow these were :( I have a pair of Cliftons but was looking for more cushion after ankle surgery for fracture. Ultimately I had to return these as they were very narrow in the arch.

too physically wide at the bottom / where it meets the pavement. I walk on the sides because they stick out too far

Fit just fine,but inner sole on left didn;t seem to fit into shoe right and digs into arch of my foot
