So sad. Colors are awesome for the Bondi 8, but they really messed up the toe area. Way too tight even in a wide. And I miss the rubbery edge on the front of the material by the toes. No stability for toes. Felt like I’d go right through these quickly. Guess I’ll wait and hope the Bondi 9 is like my 7s were.

The inside just kept hitting a bad spot on my foot

Incredibly comfortable, though I'm almost worried I will roll an ankle with how built up they are. Combined with how dramatic the blue/purple was in person, I decided to return. Really wish Hoka could come out with a better neutral color palette and have a true wide toe box option.

I really wanted to keep these, however they were too narrow and the wides would have been really wide. Other than that, the soles seemed really great and overall a well made shoe.

Hoka needs to get rid of the ridiculous piece of fabric that ties the tongue down on the inside/arch side of foot. The shoe does not fit correctly, nor does it feel good until you do a bit of surgery and cut the blasted thing. What an absurd design! Once out of post-surgery the shoes felt fine. However, based on reviews, I did order up a one-half size. I normally wear a 10 W, and ordered a 10.5 W because others said the new version seemed narrower. I'm glad I ordered the larger size. The shoes are no more clown like than previous versions, and I've had Bondi 4,5 and 7. I liked the shoe laces better in previous versions.

This is my third pair of the Bondi 8. They are the only shoes I wear due to feet issues. I usually insert an orthotic but decided to try the new one without for a while. Almost immediately my Achilles became sore so I reapplied the orthotic. The cushioning and sole seem to break down fairly quickly after 3 or 4 months so I have to buy a new pair. The only other brand I have tried is New Balance but there was too much cushioning. I have bunion removal one foot and existing bunion on other foot. I was buying a wide but decided to try a regular width on new ones. So far so good.

Beautiful shoes, but they felt a little short in the toe box and felt a little too narrow in the width to be comfy right out of the box.

Because I have to wear special inserts, I have to order either a size 8 or an 8.5 in order for my inserts to fit. (I normally wear 6.5-7.0 size in shoes other than tennis shoes. ). The 8.5 was too big but the 8 was perfect. Although they were a good fit, they felt a little clunky on my feet. For that reason I am returning them.

The size was fine but I felt like I was wearing a clown or a boat shoe. They were just too large to pack in my suitcase or wear as I would like. They looked and felt great, the color was great, just not for me.

Compared to Bondi 7’s, these fit larger in toe box. I would have to cinch up the laces causing puckering of material, which has a thin plastic/nylon texture. Didn’t care for material and didn’t need extra width.

Love the design, the brand, colors...but hated that the heel is not stable on the ground. Felt like I was going to repeatedly fall backwards.

I enjoy the shoes and wore them to hike Mt Willard in NH yesterday.
