I am really happy with my first-purchase. They look nice and they fit even better. It's something I can wear all day and forget I even have shoes on my feet.

I was skeptical about these, they are a little odd looking and I wasn't sure how they would fit, but I AM A BELIEVER! These are so comfortable, so much support and so great for long hours walking. I won't wear any others.

I recently switched to Hoka because I wanted a lower heel drop and frankly I wanted to see what all the fuss was all about. I started my Hoka journey conservatively with the Clifton 8 initially. While I liked how soft the shoe was, it was too squishy and lacked any real energy return, especially on my tempo or interval days. That being said I liked them for my long, slow runs. After reading the rave reviews for the Mach 4 I purchased the Mach 5. I received them yesterday and immediately strapped them on today for an 8 mile tempo run. All I can is WOW! These shoes are exactly what I was looking for in a daily trainer or even race day shoe. I was little worried when I first put them on because it felt very soft, especially in the heel. However, once I started running these shoes felt great with the right amount of softness and energy return. I actually found myself running about 30 seconds faster than my target pace in these shoes. For me, these are the ideal non-plated speed/daily trainer/race day shoe.

These shoes are helping my plantar fasciitis. Inserts and orthotics have never helped, and no other shoe that I've tried alleviates the discomfort until these. And the black and whites are not so obnoxious looking. Please keep them!

I heard a lot of wonderful things about the Mach 5's and I must say they exceeded expectations. Extremely light and extremely comfortable to run in. Hoka will be my go-to from here on out.

I ordered these ahead of the Chicago marathon to train in for longer runs. Shoe feels surprisingly stable and faster than the Clifton which I had previously used for longer runs. My first run in these shoes was 20 miles. At first I was nervous this was a bad idea and I could be in for some pain without breaking these shoes in on a shorter run but I was truly shocked how well these shoes settled in on their first long run. I have definitely found my new dedicated long run shoe I can tell you that for sure.

I love the look (black/black) and the feel and the fit. Great padding all around. Only drawback is the tongue. It keeps sliding down and i can't lace them any tighter. Is there a slot in the tongue for the laces that I'm missing, because i don't see one. I also bought the Solimar shoe and the tongue in those shoes DO have a slot for the laces.

After not having success with the Mach 4's I was a little hesitant on the new Mach 5's but a lot of buddies love these new 5's so said for the price I'll give them a shot.. and these shoes are now my go to for speed trainers. They are super light and a lot of cushion. I just don't think they will last more then 200 miles due to the bottom of the shoe being all foam / cushion no rubber at all.

Sneakers are decent. I bought quite a few pair from Hoka. I would think by now I might get some "Hoka" points based on the purchases I've made.

I am running in the pair and they are very comfortable, BUT, I have very narrow feet and am currently lacing these to the point where both sides touch. Would love it if HOKA came out with men's shoes in a narrow width. Or, make women's shoes in large enough sizes to fit us guys with narrow feet.

I like a lot about this shoe. It's light, lively, has good energy return, not too soft/not too hard when it comes to midsole. I enjoy running in this shoe, and would recommend to others. However, 2 things need improvement. 1. Tongue. It's too short. Even if I pull it as much as I can, it barely rises above laces when I tie them. I feel that laces are almost touching my ankle, not the shoe tongue. That's really not good. The tongue needs to be longer!! 2. Upper. The opening where you insert your foot into the show is too high, and the upper cuts into my ankle bone. I've never had this issue with any shoe.

The outsole for the Mach 5 is less stiff than the Mach 4 and Mach 3. This may cause, as it is in my case, some discomfort on ankle and Achilles tendons. I tried exchanging online within 30 days to a Mach 4 but apparently this item was not eligible for returns/exchanges.

I usually wear some type of Nike shoe for running and working out but saw these talked up online. After a few months they definitely the most comfortable running shoes I've bought. The size is also terrific as they had my half size and the exchange process was also pretty easy for the right size. Lastly they're lightweight and just and all around solid shoe. A+ shoe

New runner. Tried many different shoes until I settled on the Mach 5. It’s lightweight and comfortable. Not too much arch support which bothered me with other shoes. I use it for treadmill and outdoor runs. Very happy with my purchase.

I have been an avid user of the mach hoka brand since its inception. The Mach 5 is still the best iteration of that shoe. I have the Mach 6, but not nearly as functional or stable as the Mach 5. I hope they bring back the Mach 5. it has the perfect platform and cushion

These shoes feel like I'm walking on air! They are so comfortable and they give me a nice "bounce" whether I'm walking or running. My feet and legs feel great after walking/running. I'm definitely buying another pair because I know I'm going to wear my current pair out quickly.

Was looking for something that was comfortable, light and helped with my low back pain after long shifts on my feet. Could not be more satisfied.
