As someone who has run in the last three or four models of the bondi, I can say that the Bondi eight is definitely a step up from the also great earlier bondi models. The extra cushioning in the front portion of the shoe is noticeable in the fit is snug, but not overly so I have had a hip replacement, so the Bondis have been my choice for several years. The Bondi 8is the best Bondi that I have run in..

Comfort in spades! However, I had to return as the shoe rolled inward on one of my feet.

This is my second pair. I switched to the Men's wide rather than the women's and am much happier. My daughter got lucky cause I only wore the women's shoe twice

The Bondi 8 is just not as cushy in the heel as the Bondi 7 was. The Bondi 8 is also longer and narrower. I can never understand why shoe manufacturers (Nike and Adidas do this also) think Americans feet are getting longer and narrower. When you have such a great shoe as the Bondi 7, why do that with the next issue? I'm glad I stocked up on the Bondi 7's so I have enough for a couple of years. Also, I see no real benefit to the gusset on the inside of the bondi 8 on the tongue of the shoe, it is just annoying to have it there. I'm going to keep them, they are still comfortable and I like the color, but I wish they'd go back to the cushy heel and slightly wider Bond 7. Thanks.

My first pair of Hokas. They come highly recommended.
Out of the box they appear well-constructed with a nice wide base for stability. Very light, attractive, and should make a great road shoe or for just wearing around.
Per several reviews, these definitely run a wee bit small in length, which may not bother some, but for those of us with duck feet a true 4E width is a must for comfort. The advertised "4E" of these Hokas is more like a 2E, if that. I'm coming from New Balances, which do make a nice 4E, but they've all but ruined my favorite shoes with 'improvements' in the last few versions.
I'm exchanging for a 1/2 size larger. Hope that does it.

I am in love with my Bondi 8 x wide shoes!! They fit so wonderfully!! When you put them on you instantly feel like taking off running. I don't even run and it makes me feel like running! So cushiony!! perfect fit! Love them and I'm buying another pair right now! I am a woman with 4E width and these are truly awesome!

I have flat feet, so the arch is a little high, but overall great for my use, mostly walking.

I work in a restaurant and am on my feet all day 8-12 hours at a time. The bondi has been a life changer. Usually been doing the SR but wanted something wide this time. Needed. Are great for about 3 months before need a new pair but have been worth it. Would love more non slip options.

I have a 12 EEEE wide foot and the Bondi 8 was the only option for extra wide. I ordered the normal 12 Mens and had to return due to being too narrow still. This shoe is not as wide as a normal 4E so I had to go up a half size to make it work. Customer service could not have been nicer or more helpful. No problems returning the smaller size even after I've worn them. They even followed up to make sure new size had arrived and worked out.

The shoe is for everyday use and long walks with my dog. The Bondi 8 has less cushion compared to the Bondi 7. After walking with the Bondi 8, my knees are sore. I had no knee soreness with the Bondi 7

I have gotten my 3rd pair of 8's and continue to be extremely disappointed in the "new improved" shoes. The 7's were perfect and lasted a long time. The 8's soles wear out way quicker, do not fit nearly as well and are clunky. Yes I continue to get them but only until I can find a better shoe. WHY DO companies think they have to change perfectly good shoes? The 8's feel nothing like the 7's. When you put them on, gone is the feel of well rounded shoe and replaced with what feels like a block of wood. I tried buying every pair of 7's in any color I could but now can't find them anymore so I am struck with the 8's my only hope is that they will come out with 9's and return the shoes back more like the 7's.

I'm a female who usually wears a woman's size 9. Because of heel, ankle, little toe problems and very wide feet, I decided to try a men's size 9 since I wanted room for my orthopedics also. I like the way they fit width wise, (double wide) but I wish these shoes came in a triple wide. They're an inch and a half too long, but overall, I like these shoes.

Shoe tongue design is messed up - it is fixed on one side while the other floats. After lacing up the shoes, the tongue is skewed and makes contact with the shin during running. I had to return the shoes because of that. Did not have that issue with Bondi 7.

I loved the fit and comfort of this shoe. I've had foot pain due to a combination of gout, a cyst and a bunion. This shoe stopped all the pain!!! I did have to trade in my original pair to a wider one, and that was perfect!

The Hoka 8 gives cushioning and support I need. Superior to the usual suspects. I am 75 years old and have foot problems and the Hoka has been a huge help.
