I have 15 pairs. My favorite is Bondi 7. Bondi 8, no bueno. Feels like I am wearing boots. It will take you a lot to bring me back.

I bought a pair of HOKA Bondi 8's prior to a trip to Paris, because I needed a good walking shoe. The Bondi 8 gave me lots of cushioning and made my many, long walks around the city enjoyable. I'm 77 and used to Brooks walkers, which are heavier and stiffer, so the learning curve was a bit long, but the rewards were considerable. My main challenge was getting used to the cushioning when I initially started to walk. I think I needed more stability, but that concern went away eventually. In the gym, however, it was a dream to use the elliptical.

I run indoors and out to keep in shape. I own Clifton and Bodi 8 shoes. The Bondi 8 is my preferred shoe for running. My only complaint is that I wish the Bondi had the same extended heel tab that the Clifton has.

The Bondi 8 is now narrower than any other version of the Bondi. It no longer is comfortable to wear. Truly disappointed in this version.

I live the fit, the comfort and the color of these shoes! They needed no "break in" time that so many brands need. This is the most comfy pair of Hokas I've had so far, out of 4 pairs, but they have all been wonderful!

I have logged 2,937 miles running in several pairs Bondi 5,6 & 7. When 8 came out I was shocked how much it had changed and twice tried it on in stores but opted to try other brands instead. As I entered week 10 training for the NYC marathon I finally bought a pair of 8's thinking they would be great for the long 18-20 mile slow training runs. They're not. The other brands shoes feel as cushioned are both lighter and feel alot quicker even for a 62 year old. Maybe Hoka is more interested in being a trendy brand instead of a serious running shoe. I dunno, but the Bondi ship has sailed.

Bought these since the Bondi 7s are no more. I need x-wide shoes and these are the only ones in stock. Wore them for two days and are the most uncomfortable Hokas I've owned. measured the with alongside my Bondi 7s and the 8s are at least a 1/4' smaller! Disappointed that a x-wide feels like a regular shoe.

I bought the Bondi in 2021. After a few months of occasional walking outside, I decided to make it my work shoe at the hospital. Its use bece then daily walking and going up and down stairs inside a building. It is defined comfortable and I was happy to have it. There are two issues though. Although I bought a wide model, the toe box is somewhat narrow. The wide part is more at the midfoot. A rounder point would provide more room for the toes. The other problem happened this month. There is a piece of hard plastic at the back at the ankle level. It tore through the fabric and now pushes against my skin and caused a little ulcer there. I had to tape a piece of foam against it to protect my foot. I had other running shoes that I used only at work that lasted much longer. I don't know of this is an isolated problem or a default in the manufacturing of the Bondi 7. If I could l, I would add a picture to this comment.

I am a diesel truck that dreams of being a sports car. Every time I buy sports car running shoes, I end up with pain in either my knees or Achilles. These shoes allow my 200 lb body to run every day. They do look big coming out of the box. Like Herman Munster died and willed you his shoes. But that is well worth the pain free running experience. I love these shoes.

I am 25 miles into my 30 day test period and still dealing with a hot spot under my right foot. I had the same issue with the Clifton's - one pair never broke in. I am hoping I can get past this because I like the shoes and my Mach's and Goats have been otherwise very serviceable. HOKA just doesn't have that lace up and go kind of break in period like the ONs or Brooks.

They are great for walking. Cushioned well, but my feet hurt afterwards. I've had these for two weeks and still can't break them in. I have to change back to my old pair every couple of days. Would not buy them again.

Purchased the black on black and thought that what I had until I move the shoes to sunlight at that point they looked like they were blue. I went to the site looking for the black on blue but didn't see anything that matches so I'm guessing this is black.

My girlfriend has 6 pairs of Hoka, claiming that it really helped her Plantar Fasciitis. Being a Fitness Professional, I heard similar great feedbacks from some of my clients. I have high arches; therefore my Plantar Fasciitis tend to flare up occasionally. I was at 80% of my recovery when I decided to purchase a Bondi 8 for future flare ups. When I tried it on for a gym work day, my foot started to act up almost immediately. Next day, full foot flare up with intense knee pain on the same leg. I exchanged it for a Mach 5 with the same immediate results. I had to return that also. I am not claiming that is a bad shoe but it is not for everybody. Luckily, Hoka has an excellent customer service; therefore, it may worth a try.

I never thought expensive shoes would be worth the price. My Bondi 8s have proven me wrong, it is like walking on clouds. The first few days I could the alignment of my body was shifting, now my hips, knees and back hurt less.
