I love the Bondi 8 for all the reasons that so many people do. So I'm a fan. BUT I really don't like how easily the mesh at the toe area soils and how hard it is to get it clean. This doesn't matter as much for Bondi's that are dedicated to running only when appearance doesn't matter. But I like to wear the better looking Bondi's (like the yellow and orange) version with street clothes but I can't when they look trashed all the time. Other models have rubber-like material in stripes around the toes and this keeps them looking good longer. But the 8 looks looks crummy fast. The dirt in that mesh is really hard to extract without abrading it too much. I hope the Hoka designers see this message and keep my complaint in mind as they are planning the 9 series.

the price. There isn't a tennis shoe made worth $175+ a pair. Other than that, I love them.

I'm a "young" senior who walks a few miles every day as well as being very active in the yard/garden. I had to purchase a men's shoe since I could not find my size/width in the color I wanted. The first one was too small so I contacted HOKA. They advised me on the sizing and the second one fit perfectly.

Just went to Sedona. What a comfortable shoe. Best shoe for a 58 year old couple to wear hiking 10 miles a day.

This is my 5th pair of Bondi shoes. I love them. However, this time and the one before these, seem pretty tight. I order the wide width because I have neuropathy in my feet and haven't been able to wear them long enough to stretch them out this time.

I recently purchased a pair of Hoka Bondi 8 shoes for my regular running routine, and after putting them through their paces, I have mixed feelings about their performance. In terms of their overall performance, I found these shoes to excel in various aspects. The traction and grip were outstanding, providing stability and confidence, especially on uneven terrain and during wet weather conditions. The cushioning and support throughout the sole offered a comfortable and responsive feel, which enhanced my overall running experience. The shoe's breathability was also noteworthy, keeping my feet cool and minimizing sweat during extended runs. However, where these shoes fell short was in the area of heel comfort. Despite the well-designed cushioning and support, I experienced considerable pressure and friction on the inside of my heels, leading to painful blisters. This was a significant downside, as I have not encountered such discomfort with my previous running shoes. It's disappointing that a shoe designed for running could cause discomfort in a critical area like the heel. In summary, the Bondi 8 shoe offers good performance in terms of traction, cushioning, and support. However, the discomfort and blisters caused by the pressure on the inside of the heels significantly detracted from the overall experience. If you have a tendency to experience heel discomfort or blisters, you may want to consider other options. For now, I would rate these shoes a 3.5 out of 5 stars, primarily due to their strong performance in other areas, tempered by the discomfort experienced in the heel.

Aloha, I took a chance and ordered a Bondi 8. While toggling thought the app, I came across the sizing aid. It told me based on my answers, my sizing for this shoe would be a 10.5 XW. I received the shoes earlier than the listed in the tracking..(good). Ended up wearing these for just one shift. They were very roomy and comfy initially but as my day went on, it ended up being too big regardless how much I adjusted the laces. On one particular part of my day, i had to remove large panel dance floor pieces.. and my method of choice is to kick out the sections to loosen them. One of the pieces was slightly oily and the shoes offered zero grip/traction. I read online in a forum that most of Hokas shoes were slip resistant to an extent and that was one of the main reasons I decided to buy. By the end of day, my feet were sore and around my ankle and front area where the shoe tongue rests were bruised from the impact of my foot sliding forward while trying to kick out the floor panel pieces. My philosophy is "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". However in this case Hoka Shoes have high reviews from my coworkers who use them. So while I don't doubt that perhaps in a half size down, these shoes would be great everyday shoes. In my case for my job.. I chose to return the Bondis and I'll stick to the ASICS that's been great to me throughout the years.

I walk alot at work and needed a shoe that would give me comfort for long hours and Hoka Bondi (in black) seems to work for now. I had to order a men's 9 wide because a women's wide in 10 didn't fit so well.

Excellent support and stability for road walking and hiking with weighted vest and backpack. Had another brand for 20 years. My first Hokas. Very happy so far and show looks great. Large (13)wide flat feet with orthotics in my shoes. Very comfortable!! If they hold up for 6 + months on the road and tread holds steady, they will get a 4.8 stars.

A friend told me about this brand of walking/running shoes. So I purchased the Bondi. A couple of features you notice right away. One you are now 2" taller! second you are walking on air and finally the arch support is soo good! Note, I got the wide shoe size in my normal size and it was too narrow had to go up a half size and it's perfect.

I have previously used Hoka Clifton 8s and loved them. Was looking for a somewhat similar shoe to run my first marathon which is scheduled for 10/08/2023. Unfortunately, after the first wear, during and after, I felt discomfort in the instep arch of my right foot. I thought maybe I needed to just break them in so I have run in them 8 times for a total of 47 miles but the pain continues.

I'm a triathlete with metal knees. I need a shoe that absorbs as much of the shock from running that I can get. These shoes fit my needs. I was able to complete Ironman Chattanooga in 2019, 2021, and 2023 with no knee problems. I found shoes that meet my needs and I'm sticking with them.
