I own 4 pair of Bogs shoes/boots, all size 9, and all fit slightly differently, though all are comfortable. These boots have the best fit of all my Bogs. They are snug, but not too tight. They are also as warm as you might expect. My only issue with them is that the top of the boot initially rubbed against my shin causing some irritation. The boots have broken in somewhat, however, and this has became less of an issue.

In comparison to other brand footwear, mine were, maybe, 1/2 size large. But, my feet are small and narrow. Compensating with thicker socks. Would not trade them..

These boots are exactly what I was looking for in a winter boot that I can slip on quickly to do outdoor chores. They're comfortable, the sole is firm, but not stiff, and the boot hugs my feet with no slipping as I walk. The only negative comments are that the boot isn't as warm as advertised. The company says they're rated to -40 degrees. I've used them in 15 degree weather and my feet began getting cold. There's no way the boots will keep me warm at -40. The soles need more insulation to achieve such a rating. Also, some have said that the boot is hard to get on. While it's snug, by using the pull loop on the back of the boot, it slips on with a little effort. It's not that bad, even with thick socks on. I'm curious to see how long that loop lasts since it takes a good amount of stress each time I put the boots on. The size was true to what I would normally buy.

The Arcata Chelsea boots are comfortable, warm, and good traction. I also have the Bozeman for the most extreme conditions. I bought the Chelsea for more "everyday" winter wear once the snow hit.

Definitely not -30 boot. At 20 degrees feet are cold. If you plan on walking distances not a good boot. The upper part of boot is stiff and abrasive, rubs shins and ankles raw. Too tight of fit to accompany a quality sock

They I wish the were a little warmer. They do pretty good in the ice which is also a plus (but still need spikes in the most icy conditions).

Well built. Light insulation- not a true winter boot. Order a size up, they are snug. Great traction on slick snow. Overall a great slip on boot for around the yard.

Well made and stylish. The aggressive sole works well in snow and they appear to be a nice everyday winter boot. Thumb up!

Was a little hesitant to order because the boots weren't offered in a wide. Received them about a week ago and after my first walk with them I was very. disappointed. Width was fine, length was fine, but the boots wrapped uncomfortably around my foot with semi-thick wool socks on. Then I noticed that my toes were getting cold very quickly. Gave them one last shot today before I was going to return them and they failed again. When I was getting back in my car I thought to maybe just try them without the insert, and then BANG the boot completely changed. Toes warmed up, immediately more comfortable, and easier on and off. My feet could breathe again. Perhaps a thinner insert should be an option if wide is not? Idk, their good boots, well made, and NOW they're comfortable.

Like the boots. The size that I had previously purchased were smaller than these so they didn't fit as well. Both were size 11. I was dismayed that the uppers rubbed on my shins to the point of breaking skin and leaving a rash no matter what socks I wore. Bummed that they weren't the perfect shoes the first pair were. I put the first pair through a lot of trials and grief; they never failed me until years later. Like the easy on and off as well as the thick rubber that seems impossible to tear or puncture. Not sure the temperature rating is accurate though as my feet do get cold at a much higher temp.

The tread on the bottom mean's business. Perfect fit and super warm. Seem indestructible like all things from Bogs!

Bought these for my dad for working in mud, rain and cold weather. Great boot but not easy to put on. There are other bogs that are much easier. The opening is really small and tough for someone with limited flexibility. We will need to make an exchange. It is definitely warm, keeps your feet dry and very comfortable.

I was told about Bogs boots by a close friend who was raving about them. My first two purchases were disappointing as I could not find the correct size. When I received my third pair, I was very happy with the comfort level and how practical the boots are in the snow and in the harsh cold weather. I believe these boots will be a benefit to keeping my feet warm and comfortable for the winters to come!

Received my Arcata Urban Chelsea Boggs just in time for the first Wisconsin winter snowfall. They are warm, waterproof, and good looking. I'm glad I got the black. These boots seem true to size and thick winter socks are not necessary. They were very stiff at first. The upper and especially the pull tab took a few days to stretch. I do like the nub at the back of the heel on the boot that helps remove the other boot with your foot. If you're looking for incredible traction in a boot, this is the one.

I wanted to like these boots but they were ridiculously hard to get on and off. The uppers could use more stability.

Loved the look of these boots. They were exactly what I wanted but upon getting them I found out they were too small. Instep was tight against the top of my foot. Had to return them.

Really wanted to like the boots. They fit well and seemed well made. Unfortunately the "dark brown" is actually a charcoal color; almost black. They were just too ugly to keep. Brown and tan looked great in the pics, but dark charcoal and tan looks awful. The return was easy. Hopefully Boggs fixes the name or, better yet, the boot.

Not a great fit. Seems like manufacturing of Boggs footwear has changed as have been buying for years but now the fit is uncomfortable.
