Seriously - these are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. After a couple of wears, they really form to your feet and become YOUR shoes. I recently took a trip to San Francisco and walked everywhere in them. They held up great and left my "dogs" feeling good the whole time! I get a ton of compliments and am always pumped to tell people they're from Nisolo. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I got a pair of Emilio Chukkas before heading off for two weeks in France and Italy and I am so glad I did. I was surprised at how comfortable they were straight out of the box. After walking the streets of Paris for a day, they were already broken in and fitting my feet. I wore them throughout my trip and they quickly became my favorite pair of shoes and held up extremely well. These shoes are hand made with care and are made to last. Definitely worth the investment and it's good to know your money is helping employee the craftsmen's families in Peru!

These look great and break in quickly. Extremely comfortable. I really like the unique lace up system that creates a snug fit and also aesthetically distinguishes this shoe from many others in the market. Great with jeans or a suit.

These look great. I enjoy being able to wear them to dinner, casually to the beach and then to work. - The quality leather stretches to my slightly wider foot so I don't have to wear a size up. - They can be resoled which is amazing as I wear out the tread unevenly and that bugs me. No prob with these as I can just get them resoled and they're like new! - I have 3 pairs, 1 for almost 2 years now. The older one has been resoled and wears great still. I was worried about paying more for shoes but now I see it actually saves money in the long run as I don't throw these away like my other shoes.

These are fantastic shoes. I live in NYC and walk a lot. A comfortable boot is a necessity. This boot has molded to the shape of my foot and is such a comfortable walking experience. Thanks so much!!!

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas this year and I am blown away by the quality and amazing customer service. I bought the "oak" color which was better than expected. Its color is less warm than in the picture. Look at the swatch color on the right side of the page by "COLOR:." It's a more accurate representation of the color. The shoes come with a card of authenticity and a short description about the person who made the shoe, which I think makes the shoes more personal and special. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I am confident that my boyfriend will love them too.. P.S. Shipping was very fast, too.

This is the best shoe I have ever purchased, hands down. Comfortable and stylish. Great for the weekend or even for casual Fridays at the office. This is my first Nisolo shoe and will not be my last.

see above, I am not speaking in hyperbole either. They look nice and they are priced well. The only thing I can't comment on is durability which, from what I can tell, should be fine.

boots are beautifully crafted, aesthetically pleasing, and very comfortable. about all i can ask for. oh, and very reasonably priced!

Shoes look great. Bit hard to put on without unlacing . But once on, they are comfortable

I love these boots because they can be dressed up or down and add a masculine yet pulled together detail to any outfit. I sized a half size down since my foot was sliding, but so far so good when breaking them in.

Very high quality but the sole is a little slippery on carpet and wood. Would need a different pair for icy/snowy weather.

These boots are beautiful, no doubt; however, some aspects of the construction are unfinished. The sole for example is unfinished and does not have a lacquer coating. This may cause issues with weather protection and wear. Another slightly unfinished aspect is the leather insole which does not extend all the way to the end of the toebox and leaves a portion of the leather midsole exposed. This probably will not create any issues related to comfort but could, over time, cause the leather midsole to loosen and wear out. I understand this has to do with the construction of the shoe and perhaps the difficulty of lasting a shoe by hand. And for the price-point of these boots and ethical standards of production. It is still undoubtedly a high quality boot. There is just room for improvement.

I sized 1/2 a size up as they recommend for a roomier fit. I wish I hadn't. I don't think this is necessary to advertise as yes, I have a roomier fit but "true to size" would be more accurate. I just felt if I hadn't gone a 1/2 size up, the shoes would be small? The only real advantage is perhaps 1/2 a size up provide a little room on the sides but the length has me tripping up stairs or catching on any uneven surfaces. Otherwise, don't get me wrong, love the shoes, they look great, are easy to waterproof, and down the line perhaps will add some sole savers if necessary.

Takes Two days to break in, kills your heels. Shoe is much darker than whats in the picture. Shoe feels great now, and it has been holding up well. Worn 2x a week.

This must be a fashion/traditional thing, but I wasnt sure why there wasnt a protective soul at the front, like there was for the heel. Its so slippery I almost fell walking down the stairs. I have since gone to a shoe repair store and got a nice sole. But why doesnt it come with a sole in the first place. Choose a nice, good looking design that goes with the shoe and sell with it! Maybe its a shoe aficionado thing. Still 4 stars, its a great shoe

Absolutely gorgeous leather paired with flawless construction.

I've owned the Brandy Emilios for over a year, and they've held up really well. I clean them with saddle soap, and after a quick buff they're as good as new. The heel soles have been a little hard to keep clean. For a comfy fit, I sized up a half size and dropped in some Superfeet Premiums. My only complaint is that Nisolo's product photos on the website inaccurately portray everything lighter than they really are. I just received my steel Emilios, and they're much darker than the website shows. I'm keeping them, but am returning another Chukka in "oak" because the colors are so off. Wish we could upload our own photos for these reviews!

A very solid boot for the price, and surprisingly comfortable once the initial break-in period is over.

Modern, but classic, they look great with everything. Only complaint is they rub up against the back of my ankle a bit. But I think any boot takes a little while to break in. Otherwise, super comfy.

I first bought two pairs of the Emilio Chukka LE, which I love and still wear often (i.e., please bring them back). I wore through the soles on both of them and ended up having them resoled at some cost due to the odd welt. I also now have a pair of the regular Emilio Chukkas, which I like. They fit the same as the LE, with the same high-quality leather. The only thing I don't like is the weird leather cap piece that the put around the top of the welt to make it look more like a Goodyear welt or something. This tends to want to separate from the rest of the sole and causes a strange gap. Also, if you're going to make a shoe in that style, it would be better to just try and use an actual Goodyear welt, rather than fake it; but I understand that that was the type that you could make at the time and you wanted to introduce a new style. That said, maybe just use that type on the LE and bring that back?

These are great boots, with a few caveats. I own two pairs, the second I picked up 60% off during a holiday sale. The rubber they use on the heels is garbage and wears through very quickly, which leads to damage of the stacked leather heal if you are not careful. The leather on the sole also wears quickly. You should spring for some rubber sole protectors from your local shoe repair shop. For my second pair, I got sole protectors and new heal rubber put on right away. This cost $55. I have no idea why shoes with such nicely made leather uppers have such junk rubber on the bottom. If you don't upgrade / add bottom rubber and stay on top of the heal wear, you will ruin them in four to six months of daily wear. Factor these upgrades into the cost of you want them to last.
