The Men's Basic Jersey Cotton Shorts has plenty of good things going for it; pockets are the right size, loop-style drawstring, a solid waistband and just the right length.

I've been wearing Russell basic cotton shorts for years. Doing everything from workouts, working in the yard, sleeping, camping & hiking, etc. However, this recent pair that I received had the stitching out of a section of the waist band (see photo). This is the first time I've ever seen this happen in the more that 20 pairs that I've owned. Based on my past experience I'm assuming this is an outlier and I won't let it effect this review, but it needs to be mentioned. (I just ran a stitch to repair them and expect to have this pair for another 5 years)

These shorts fit very well, are very comfortable, and made to last. They have useful pockets for carrying items.

Shorts run true to size. They wash well. No shrinkage. Very comfortable to wear. Nice pockets. they seem to hold their shape well

These shorts are light Weight and are comfortable to work out in. The waist is flexible but doesn't fall off when stretching or bending.

These basic cotton shorts are just that, basic cotton shorts. But they are very comfortable and giving. I've washed them several times already and they are holding up very well. These are great for the gym of for bumming around the house. I would definitely recommend these for the price.

Russell Athletics' Jersey Cotton Shorts are the BEST! They fit well, with extra room for a great workout or just lounging. The fabric is supple and stands up to wash after wash. The adjustable waistband makes this the perfect athletic wear.

These excersize short are comfortable, durable and a perfect fit.

Purchased just recently. Nice fit. True to the size chart. Cotton blend is comfortable. Machine washing has not affected size nor the colors.
