I used this bag for a two week mission trip to carry some of the basics I needed during the day. The bag is very well-made and held up well to daily wear and tear. There was plenty of room for my phone, and other items like wallets, hydration packets, sunscreen and bug spray. Overall the bag was a little bit larger than I was expecting but it worked well. The single strap fit was comfortable although often awkward to take off.

Used in Italy to keep important items with me safe like phone, money, book, journal, and a drink.

Love this bag! Great for running errands abs day hikes. Lots of pockets to keep everything organized.

Super cute! I absolutely love the off white color and it's super practical instead of a purse or if you just have a few things to carry. I can still easily fit a larger water bottle, wallet, keys, etc. I love all of the pockets it has as well.

I love The North Face products especially the beautiful blue color but need to return as the extender straps are too small. For those of us who are not male and perhaps want to use it with a bulky coat/sweater it does not work well. I'd purchase if that small alteration could be made.

The North Face Borealis Sling is a highly versatile and comfortable bag for daily use or urban hikes. Its most notable feature is the ease with which I can access the entire main compartment with a single hand while keeping the other occupied, making it extremely practical. However, its quality is compromised by the external bungee cords: the thread frayed shortly after use, despite only being used to secure gloves or a beanie without applying excessive force. The North Face should urgently improve the quality of this component, as this minor failure significantly cheapens a product that is, in essence, quite good.

I read a LOT of comments before getting this bag, yet, I am still baffled at how almost awesome it is, yet it sucks.
Yeah, the water bottle holder is beyond tiny. I thought a normal thin bottle would fit. Nope. It's smaller than a can.
The strap is truly short. And the strap is 3/4 wide, vs 1 inch wide. So tiny strap, tiny buckle, crazy short.
There are more points. But it feels like the designers made this on a computer, and never made a mockup before sending it out to be mass produced. I can't see how this WAS wanted to make.

I thought I would use this for hiking and I love the sling. However, I would have difficulty fitting two bottles of water, snacks, and a mini first aid kit in this. There really is not much room.

Material, size, design details are made with the North Face quality we all love. The design flaw is that this can always only sit on one side vs. other brans you can switch from side to side. I have taken mine on many trips and been able to wash in cold, hang dry and it looks as perfect as the first day I bought it several years ago. Also packs well. Only gripe is this should be able to be worn on either side.

This is a very basic small backpack, done in sling style. It is very attractive, but I returned mine because I think, deep down, that I'm just not a sling person. I like having 2 sets of shoulder straps if I'm going to carry a pack, even if I usually only use one of them.

Pocket on strap really not functional to store a phone, just make it a bit bigger! Water bottle pocket also a bit too small and compression strap broke when I tried to secure a jacket. Holds stuff ok

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This is a small sling bag. It can fit phone, keys, water etc. However this color in particular picks up EVERY piece of dirt it comes in contact with. It’s impossible
to keep clean.

It's okay. A couple of the pockets are to small to put anything useful in.

I like this sling, and my partner liked it enough to get herself one as well.
My only gripes about it are that the cell phone pouch is too small for premium phones, and the water bottle pouch is too small for water bottles, lol... They struck out on the two pouches that served specific purposes...
The buckle on the strap is nice. It makes it easy to remove the sling without having to do acrobatics. I would have liked a secondary strap like the Voyager Sling has.

I own one before this one and I love it. It's compact, lightweight and very comfortable. It meets my expectations for travel and adventure. However, this one I didn't like the color much so I purchased the black and only to received an email that it's out of stock so they canceled my order. But when I looked up online, there's still 5 left. So I emailed back with a screenshot showing 5 left. So I should be getting my order. Anyway, I checked again after 2 days, there's still 5 left but this time it's no longer on sale. What a disappointment! They should have updated the item online.

adorable bag but a very inconvenient size. it's too small inside & pretty much impossible to use comfortably. i don't know how this is made by the north face - an outdoor specialist company. this is pretty generic and i wasn't impressed.

Everything about this bag is great except for the size. Needs to be large enough to fit tablet in secure pouch. Also, the pocket in the front should be able to fit a "regular" phone. Build quality and features are top notch.
