Soles are a little slick (good for street wear) but could be grippier for more rural areas on the Western Slope of Colorado. Would like to see them a little wider for those with AFOs that have SMO inserts due to thickness of overall orthotic. And would love to see them in non high top styles as well.

We have found that these high tops have something on the sole of the shoes that make them slippery. We found the need to buff them off for safety.

My son wears hinged AFO braces &; already has a wide foot. NO OTHER SHOES FIT BUT THESE! So happy to find them!

My daughter wears an AFO on one leg and we have tried really hard to find suitable footwear for a long time. We stumbled across Billy and couldn't be happier. Being able to buy in odd sizes is a huge advantage and made it a lot more affordable than buying in the UK even with international shipping! Great communication from the customer service team.

My son has CP and wears custom AFOs. After trying many many other brands, I am SO GLAD WE FOUND BILLY Footwear!! He wears the BILLY Classic WDR hightop for school and THEY ARE AWESOME!! He has more balance and support than ever before when walking, and even his teachers at school stop me to tell me they love his shoes! (No more scraped knees - like with previous shoes!) The fit is AMAZING with his AFOs. I have not experienced this with ANY other shoe that claims to be AFO friendly. They fit perfectly and he can actually remove his own shoes now! The customer service I received when emailing was fast and incredibly helpful and kind! I can't say enough good things!! Thank you, BILLY!

I gave this product a 5 star for a very big reason besides the fashionand design. It's that the customer service Billy provided me and my son. Original the product lasted about 3 weeks and his zipper broke. He was very quick to respond and get us a new pair free of charge. The replacement pair has been working awesome no issue for weeks! I get things happen in production and will continue to do our business with this company. Thank you for providing use another option to help our son out!

My son is 13 years old. He wears braces on his feet. Putting shoes on had been a struggle for a long time. The Billy shoes have made a huge difference in both our lives. I no longer have to help him get his shoes on. He does it by himself and feels proud. My son loves his shoes. It makes his life so much easier especially when he has to get in and out of his shoes a couple times a day. The shoes are stylish and nothing to be embarrassed about. My only suggestion would be to make more styles available in the wide width. Especially lighter colors because in the summer with your braces on it can get really hot with shoes and braces. I can't thank Billy shoes enough. This has been a long time coming and we're very thankful for the ease of use.

My daughter just discovered these shows last year for her handicapped sister. We have been very pleased and now the Navy classic is another one of her favorites! The shoe is another great fit and goes great with many outfits for her.

These shoes fit great and look great with many outfits of my daughters. They are true to size like always and are a great addition to her wardrobe.

The shoes are very easy for my granddaughter to remove herself. There range of color and design is amazing.

Wide, durable. Perfect for my special little dude and his AFO's. We bought multiple pairs. It's tough to get shoes on my son, add in AFO's and it was near impossible. This shoes are amazing!! No more fighting to get shoes on! :) These are our go to shoes, even without AFO's.

I liked these shoes however we ended up returning them and going with a pair of low tops. My son's AFO just didn't work with them. The fact that you can order two different sizes is awesome. I'd been having to purchase two pairs of shoes as my son has hemiparesis and therefore only one brace.

My son wears braces on his ankles and legs and they fit over them perfect! We've bought at least 6 pairs so far!

My granddaughter loves her new shoes! They are the perfect fit. She now has three pairs.

My son wears AFO's and already has wide feet. I ordered these two sizes up and we could actually get them on. The width depends on how loose you make the laces. That's a huge plus. They're easy to get on and I've been sweating over putting shoes on him ever since he started wearing braces. I think one size up would do but I was being cautious because I've purchased all the New Balance options and they just weren't wide enough and EXTREMELY difficult to get on! These are the best so far to get on.

My son uses a double leg brace and the Wide version of billy's fit perfect and they are so stylish!!

Really love the way these fit over my sons braces! So glad he can have a regular looking shoe to wear!!

I needed something for my son's orthotics. We used Billy's in the past and they worked. The wide ones are even better! My son is able to get around better because of his orthotics. These shoes are affordable and great.

They fit my son's wide feet and orthotics. So worth the price!
