Have tried to buy these shoes several times, but have been unable to get my size. When my size was actually in stock (12B) it didn't come close to fitting. This shoe is a 12B is WAY too wide and slightly too long. My size in this shoe would be an 11 1/2 A - which Florsheim doesn't make in this shoe (or at least I have never seen it is stock). Since most of the rest of the Florsheim shoes are now the throwaway type with plastic/rubber soles, this basically eliminates Florsheim shoes for me.

Ordered the Florsheim Kenmoors in a size 12B - my usual size... These shoes run very large. The length is at least 1/2 size larger than "true size", and the B width is also wider than a "true size" B width. Unfortunately, these shoes don't come in a size 11 1/2 A... So no Florsheim Kenmoors for me. I was able to find many different styles of Allen Edmonds shoes in my correct size. Good for me, not so good for Florsheim.

I had my feet measured for shoe size ( left 9 3E, right 9.5 3E). Talked on phone with Florsheim rep. He said that the Florsheim Kenmoor ran true to size. Ordered Florsheim Kenmoor Wingtip in Cognac pebble grain in 9.5 3E. Out of the box a beautiful shoe. Left was a little snug will stretch when broken in. Right, very tight, will not do, have to go back. Then looking over the shoes before I replackaged them I noticed the right shoe around the sole where it is sewed to the shoe there was a stitch missing, and on the left one at the heel where the leather is sewed it had been buckled and there was a noticeable dimple. They were going back anyway on a sizing issue. I was going to reorder them in 10 3E and hope I got a pair that fit and did not have any defects because they are very nice looking and have the potential to be a great pair of shoes if you get some with no defects.
Then I came across a Fathers day sale with a deep discount on another brand and bought them. I might buy the Kenmoors later, they are nice looking (better in person than on the internet) and I want a pair with a thick sole and a storm welt.

Loved the shoes. Ordered 1/2 size larger & width 3ee hoping they would fit. They didn't have the width size in E. Did not fit to large had to send them back for credit.

These shoes were marked size 10.5 (my typical shoe size) but were at least a half size bigger. They is no way I could wear them.

Shoes sound like they're plastic, even though they're not. I previously wrote a review for 5 stars based on durability. But, between being too shiny in appearance and being loud after over a month of breaking them in, I would not recommend buying the Kenmoors.

Wore the shoes around the house because they felt stiff and 1/2 bigger than a actual size 6. Didn't realize they wear on new soles before it was too late preventing me from returning them. Had to buy heel liners to keep shoe from slipping to prevent heel irritation and hopefully avoid a blister. Having said that they are nevertheless classy looking shoes. Hoping with more wear to break them in and wearing a thicker pair of socks the fit might improve.

I do not know English, but I will try to express them. I ordered the shoes porinternet, because here in Guatemala there are no small sizes. Unfortunately there came a shoe with a lighter mound. We do not return it for the cost of having to re-ship by curier, but I think they should review the articles well to send them to avoid this kind of inconvenience. We take the shoes to a cobbler here to pair them with dye which is the solution we look most successful. Thank you for making comments.

Pulled my new Florsheims out today and saw 4 different defects on them. All are minor but still frustrating. One is a bad cut on the black plastic on the side of the shoe. Then there are three areas where the brown die was not applied correctly. Two of those areas are missing color and on is a black mark. All are minor but not what I would expect given the expectation of quality from Florsheim and the price of the shoes. Weighing the option of returning the shoes for credit. You can list me as disappointed.

They were surprisingly heavy and stiff; however, I am used to a break in period for good shoes, especially with a good heavy leather upper. The main issue with this pair was a blemish - small but noticeable - below one of the eyelets - a couple of small pieces of leather perhaps that didn't get trimmed. If they were cheap, I'd probably taken a nail clipper to it and hoped for the best but - not for a relatively expensive pair. This was my first time returning shoes - after probably 15 orders over the years - and I was very impressed by the service extended by Dwayne. I just reordered, upgrading to Allen Edmonds which I haven't sprung for in years, so we'll see how they work out. Well done Zappos and Dwayne!
I'd also recommend:

Internet advertising says "free shipping," implying returns are also at no cost to buyer; not so! I had to pay almost $20.00 to return shoes for a wider size. That turned me off.

I always like this style but the pairs that I just bought hurt all over. I wish I could return them. They hurt all around the top of my feet. The leather is so hard that i feel it is cutting into my skin. I can't wear them for long. Can I return or exchange them?

I have been wearing Imperials for at least 40 years. I have always bought
10D. I have several pairs and colors. Just received a pair from Florsheim.
The shoe is loose at the heal and generally wider maybe even a 1/2 size larger. I made the mistake of wearing them to an event or I would have returned them. I took them to a shoemaker to have a leather heel insert installed which only helped a little - heel still squeeks. I think Florsheim
is outsourcing and the quality is not the same. The weight of the shoe seems lighter and sole thinner. I considered Imperials to be part of the American dream - I was really bonded to those shoes.
Thanks for asking,
Stan Erickson

The upper on the cordovan pair was not properly attached to the sole; there is a gap. The black pair had a defect in the finish of the left shoe.

I have had shoes from the imperial line for a few decades. I like the color; it has been a while since there was something that looked good for my brownish suites. I ordered my usual 13, but there was heal movement what could cause blisters; this never happened before. they are now at the shoe makers havin g something placed in the heal to solve the problem.

Hi,
This is my first pair of Florsheims. Unfortunately the black leather trim seems to be of poor quality around the foot hole. It rubbed off like paper the first time I put the shoe on, even with a horn. I've decided to break them in and wear them casually instead of keeping them as a dress shoe...I'm not sure I made the right purchase.

Price is good, fit is good. Finish is only fair. Wary of shoes made in India- bad experiences with other brands- will see how these hold up.

I bought both the black and brown pair of the Kenmoor's. When I got them, they were very, very stiff and the leather looked the same - stiff. Right off the bat the black pair I had caused me blisters. I thought they just needed breaking in... Even once broken in, they still weren't any better. I sent them back.
Then the brown pair had the same issue. The leather creases VERY easily and they are entirely too stiff if you ask me. I wasn't expecting that from a brand that I know and trust.

I bought this shoes at one of the Florsheim shop at Jakarta Mall in Indonesia. I like the shoes but I feel my foot is too tight, Little flesibity would be great. Thanks

This shoe looks good but it is a little pricey for what you get. I have shoes from other brands in the 200 price range and these are inferrer to my others. The heal is also very loose. If you can get this on sale half price then got for it. I ordered it to Canada for 225 plus 40 for shipping which is too much. For 265 I could have got 2 pairs of shoes comparable in quality at a local store.

These shoes look great and are very comfortable after a short break in period. But I must have gotten a bad sole because within six months of moderate use the tip of the sole had worn down so much the stitching had come through. Zappos was great and provided 100% credit with no hassles but I miss my shoes. May try another to see if mine had bad leather!

I like the leather much better on my old 1970's Kenmoor. It is softer and less corrected.
Mine feels like a clearcoated hard, plasticy looking leather. Does not take on much other color from polish.
Very hard to break in. Hard to stretch at toes.
Solid feel. Padded heel extends too far toward arch.
Not quality of old. Stitching is good. Soles are good. Fit is excellent.

Same as many other reviewers, I love my older Kenmoors. This newer model has the same great quality sole, but not with nailed soles. The weakness is the stiff, corrected leather. I give it about 3 out of 10 in quality. Inferior to my Aldens and Churches. Allen Edmonds is better leather, but poorer fit for me. The creasing is inferior on this shoe. It takes a good shine, but quite plasticy and cheap appearing leather.I will be going to [@] to buy used ones in the future.

I've had this shoe for about 6 weeks. Good shoe, but not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I wanted to check it out in a store first, but I couldn't find a local store. For [$] I expected a shoe that 'wrapped itself around my foot' but that is not what I got. It is stiff and my feet sweat more than usual (does not breathe well). Looks good in a business setting and will probably become more comrotable as I wear it. I am a little disappointed in the value.
