Fine shoe. I have a pair of these shoes that I have worn for nearly 20 years and am now retiring due to some bad repair work on the sole. The best value in a shoe I have ever had. I can't seem to find my size (15) any more. TEJ Charleston, SC

Three and counting. I have three pairs of these shoes (and counting). I bought my first pair ten years ago when I could hardly afford them, but saw them in a store and wanted them because the craftsmanship was so outstanding. These are truely striking shoes to see and comfortable enough to wear all day long. I've just re-soled two of them for the third time and will keep on doing so until they tell me it can't be done. If you buy these shoes, you will not be disappointed. But be careful because you could end up refusing to wear any other shoe. Like me.

The Devil is in the details. Greetings! Classic longwing bluchers abound these days. Every traditional shoemaker has more than one model in his catalogue. I have compared this Florsheim model with their direct rivals, mainly the Allen-Edmonds' MacNeil and the Alden Wingtip Blucher Oxford and frankly, none of the other shoes looks or feels better than the Kenmoor. Being from Spain, I am familiar with leather, as my country makes one of the best-quality leather in the world. That is the first detail that separates it from the rest: the treatment the leather has received in the Kenmoor, which gives it a subtle but striking look, best appreciated in the tan color, (the one I own), which by the way is handstained, (check out the larger picture to see this for yourself). The second great difference is the double leather outsole, which guarantees years of use and lasting quality. Last, is the price, which is from $70 to $75 better than the above mentioned competitors. This is Florsheim's top and most expensive model, their true masterwork and it's worth every penny.

THE Traditional Dress Shoe - Timeless. As a young man, I'm fairly new to this shoe that has been the choice of quite a few gentlemen long before me. A sturdy, but comfortable shoe that has quality written all over it from the foot-hugging all-leather uppers (they conform perfectly) to the stout leather soles that last for years. I've found that in footwear, you really do get what you pay for and it doen't pay to skim in this department. The finest shoe made in the finest style to come about. The classic lines and overall good looks of this shoe will make it a permanent part of my wardrobe. Hope they are never discontinued.

High quality shoe. The only complaint is within a week the white started showing through shoe lace and has worsened.

I was a little concerned when I first got the shoes, because they were so stiff that I had trouble getting my feet into them. But once I had them on they fit great and they are loosening up enough that getting them on is easier now after about a week of wearing them for a couple hours each day. I am very pleased with the shoes and would recommend them to anyone, especially if you need a "solid" shoe.

Fancy black wing tips look great. It's been awhile since I got new shoes, so I am not used to extreme stiffness. A week in they are beautiful but not test comfortable

Absolutely gorgeous shoe, well made. But, very stiff and the top edges felt like they are cutting into my ankles, so had to return for credit.

.Shoes are great, but you need more options. i.e. size EE width's. With width's only in size D and EEE does not bode well for all. Two width sizes does not fit all. Otherwise shoes are excellent. Recty the situation as cited above and you have a continuing customer.Yes

I bought these because they were heavily discounted and perhaps being discontinued...and I was eager to add a pebbled black pair to my shelf. I'm normally an 'E' width but went with the 3E because that's all that was available in a size 13. They are roomy for sure but fit comfortably and I'm hoping they'll break in nicely. I have always loved the longwing.... I'm the lucky owner of many pairs...newer and vintage...many colors. Like many reviewers have stated: Florsheim! Make the longwing in shell cordovan leather in the States, like the old days!! Yes, we know they'll cost more. We will happily pay a fair price for US made shell cordovan gunboats made to the standards of the oldies!!

Two nail heads protruded a small amount above the surface of the heel. The nails should be recessed to prevent scratching a floor!

More of a milk chocolate brown than a cogniac, still an American classic even if made in India. Comfortable and classy.

Beautiful shoes. Just wish they were still made in the US. I would be willing to pay more for that. Thanks!

The shoes are very attractive, but they are very hard to "break in." I have worn them for a few hours five days in a row, and there are still places where they are irritating my feet. I would not be able to put them on and go out in public for most of the day. They seem very "stiff" in comparison to some other fine shoes I have bought. I'm still working on them, but I don't like this part of the process.

The shoes are beautiful and they fit me pervectly. They have a high gloss shine. They were kind of slick on the bottom walking around in my apartment as they weren't broken in yet.

These are the shoes my Dad wore for 40 years, almost nothing changed. He liked them because they fit his feet. I know from history they are great shoes. Dad was an attorney and wore them everyday. I'm an electrician and wear them to church. Apparently my feet and Dad's are different because I'm having a hard time finding the size that's comfortable for my feet. I need 11.5 wide and they don't make them in that size. I'll probably send them back, not because they're not good shoes, because they just don't fit my weird foot.

These shoes are very well made. You can tell that Florsheim still manufactures them the same way they did years ago! I found them a bit snug, or stiff, though. They are very firm out of the box, and are going through a generous breaking-in period. This should be of note for someone who wants a flexible leather shoe right out-of-the-box. I will take that as an indication of the quality and calibre of the leather used in the manufacturing process, though!

The last time I bought a pair of Imperials was in 1972 when I got married. I still have and wear them, now every day. The new ones do not seem in appearance to be of the same quality but if anywhere near the previous one I expect I'll wear them to my funeral.
