The only thing I don't like about the shoe is that after six months, the sole of the shoe "may" have to be re-glued by a shoe cobbler. It's only a slight inconvenience, but Florsheim can easily correct the problem by changing it's glue. The sole came loose on two of the four Florsheim's I have bought within the last year. It only cost $6 for the repair, so I really don't mind getting the repair. A pair of Florsheim's will generally last me 1.5 years with the use of shoe trees and rain covers (the commuter).

I have small narrow feet (8B) and I've worn out several pairs of this shoe. Now Florsheim has decided to STOP MAKING IT IN MY SIZE! It's hard enough buying shoes fitting my feet. These do, but Florsheim doesn't seem to want my money anymore. (I hate rubber souls, BTW; these were leather and terrific.) A great big BOO! HISS! to Florsheim for forsaking its customers.

My husband has worn Florsheim shoes for 20+ years and my father wore them in the 70s and 80s. They are a good quality shoe, they last a long time even with daily wearing, they are perfect for the office if you wear a suit, and they are stylish and attractive. This specific shoe runs a little small and narrow - I'm going to have to return it. But I will order a larger size since my husband loves them so much.

If Florsheim would add a fully cushioned footbed to the Como similar to the Riva, the comfort of this shoe would be much improved. To make the Como more comfortable I have used AirPillo Insoles. I can't wear the Riva, because I have a narrow foot and the Riva doesn't come in an A width, but the Como does. Otherwise, The Como is a very good shoe.

I wear them every day.
Already for 10 years I buy a black and a brown pair once a year.
The fit nice, however especially the underside wears out to fast.

I continue to order the Imperials for style and fit, however, I always have to put new heels on immediately! The bottom section of the heal separates on itself and catches on my suit pants, causing a number of unanticipated and expensive tailorings. I have called and reported this problem every time I buy a new pair( fourth pair in 5 years) and customer service would just ship me a new pair. I don't believe Zappos has a voice in the matter with Florsheim. Otherwise perfect and comfortable shoes always cost me an additional $30 dollars....come on people!

I have worn the Como Imperial for many years, the difference this time is that now they are made in India and the sizing is not exactly the same as the Como made in the U.S. years ago. These are a bit wider. Other than that, they feel soft, comfortable and look well-made. Zappos informed me of the Como's availability and delivered right away (VIP). I recommend that Zappos stock more size 13's in several widths of the Como Imperial.

Returned shoes for exchange in kind.
Crease marks from animal prominent and appear as weak lines in leather, especially at sewn seams.

I wish the Como style still came in Brown. I have a pair of Brown that I have re-soled severall time for my work suites. I have just recently resoled my Black pair.
I will get one more pair of Black. The two new pair I will ware for Going Out and use the two that I have resoled for every day work.

I'm hard to fit and i need a shoe such as this in a bank environment. It's a simple and clean design that is suitable for most business and social occasions. It's roomy enough in the toe, an excellent fit. I don't have anything negative to say.

The quality of the leather isn't as good as the pair I purchased some years ago. The leather appears to be thinner and shows creases much more readily than my previous pair.

I bought these for my husband who has wide feet and trouble with shoes pressing on his toes and arches. These may not be the most stylish, but they are the most comfortable dress shoes he has found.

This shoe was for my husband who is very hard to fit as he has "pencil feet". This is the same style he bought years ago so he knew it would fit. We wish there were more choices in 12 narrow. Zappos service is excellent. Their price is the same as local stores so we basically just saved the sales tax.

I have never been able to get step-ins in my size before. These look and feel comfortable and I keep them on my feet when walking. A great find.

Florsheim Imperial como -
I've worn this model slip-on for the past 15 years and still enjoy the purchase of a new pair. The sheepskin leather is very comfortable, the fit is good and the looks what I want.
