Yes, you read the correct title. I am a 6.5 in shoes and ordered a 6.5. They fit perfectly with PLENTY of room for my ridiculous bunion on my right foot. They felt odd when first putting them on, almost too wide or roomy, but I quickly realized how much the roomy feeling is a blessing for me and my feet. In fact, I was able to climb my first 14er in Canyon City, CO (Mt. Princeton, see image below) WITH these shoes! They were comfortable for me during the hike, super supportive around my ankles for hours of bouldering, and were indeed waterproof (as my tears of joy flowed down my face when reaching a ridgeline). The sole of the shoes are solid with little wear and tear after a week of hiking a bunch in Colorado. I absolutely would buy these again!

Please consider making them in a brown or gray for women. I kept the shoe because it feels so good on my feet but I really HATE the purple.

Took these boots out this past weekend for a traverse through the backcountry of Alaska. Wore them for roughly ~18 miles and had no major issues. Wore them through creek crossings, over glaciers, and up and over mountains. I have a more narrow heel and wider forefront. I always size up half a size or a full size for my outdoor shoes. My foot size is a 7.5 and I purchased a 8.5. I would recommend these boots. The hard outer toe protected my feet from the boulders I kicked and rocks that fell on my toes :) I only started experiencing some minor pain in my achilles area for the last 2-3 miles. So I just loosened/retied up the laces around those areas to give my achilles a rest.

I wore these to summit Mt Whitney and they performed great! They held up to some ice, snow and water crossings (no leaks) and my feet didn't hurt after (I did switch the inserts to a different one to accommodate a Morton's neuroma). I'm also really happy the 2.0 version fixed the toe crease issue from the original version I had previously tried. I used to be a loyal Altra Lone Peak wearer but am now a Topo convert!

This brand was recommended to me for sneakers (which o also love) so with a hiking trip coming up I decided to try these and it was the best decision! So comfortable! I didn't have time to break them in, but that was fine- put them on and started hiking and never had a single cut or rub like other shoes! I love the wide toe box style of Topo - that is the best part. Very cushioned- on rocky hikes I didn't feel a thing AND tiny rocks did not get stuck in the bottom.

I loved these at first. I have wider and more flat feet so the toe box was perfect. They are super comfortable and less rigid than most hiking boots. I started off doing small hikes in these to work up to a backpacking trip and then to hike Half Dome. However, on the last day of my backpacking trip I had severe Achilles tendon pain and they swelled up which I have NEVER experienced. I could barely walk and had to switch to my teva sandals to finish the trip. Super bummed because they started off great- not sure what caused them to created such horrible tendon pain. They received less than a 100 miles on them (estimated 50-60miles).

I LOVE Topo's wide toe-box footwear for my metatarsalgia. I've ordered two pairs of Topo running shoes in 7.5 and love them. Technically my foot measures a 6.5 but I always order a 7.5 in running shoes. I ordered these hiking boots in an 8 so I could wear a thicker sock for hiking (like with all former hikers I've bought in an 8.) These particular Topo Athletic Trailventure 2 WP ran a bit small. I compared the footbeds of the 7.5 running shoes to the 8 Trailventures and the 8's are only 1 mm longer. I'll order an 8.5 and see how they fit. I will say that for the two days I did try them out just walking, they are VERY comfortable (with a normal/thinner sock). Excellent arch support, cushy foot-bed, good lace up options, great lugs for gripping the ground, nice rubber toe kick and they're a fun color. I'd highly recommend Topo footwear for anyone who has/had a neuroma or metatarsalgia.

I love the comfort of the shoe. Not gonna lie they are the most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever owned. However, they fell apart after my weeks trip to Patagonia. I contacted customer service and they said the warranty only lasts a year and they don't repair their shoes. I purchased them over a year ago; however I only used them for my Patagonia trip as I didn't do any hiking. They offered me a 20% discount on another pair but why do I need a discount on a show that falls apart after 3 weeks and not backed up by any repair warranty ?

Roomy toe area. I have toe pressure issues. These are very comfortable and I love the lace locks! Have to put extras Cushing At the heel for a heel damaged from running.

I am not a hiker, walker or runner. Most shoes are uncomfortable around my toes. I had a trip to Norway with lots of hiking coming up, and they stressed waterproof hikers. I tried 5 shoes and sizes before these, all rubbing pinky toe, even the Altra in minutes. I discovered this brand, ordered my normal size in regular width with just days left to settle on a pair before the trip began. I wore these for 2 hrs in the house, and every day for 8 days. My only comments were, I love these boots!

Thank you for unwavering protection through muddy horse trails in thunderstorms. I'm not sure my boots will ever be the same but they kept my feet supported & dry thru some of the most technical terrain that I have ever hiked. I have logged well over 400 miles between 2 pair & I'm extremely happy. I size up because my feet swell from a vascular issue but the wide toe box also helps immensely. I had a rough start with this brand but Topo replaced my boots & zero issues since. Loyal for life!

I have never had boots this comfortable. I've don't a good amount of rucking for work and hiking for fun and have always tolerated my boots. These Topo Trailventures were a great purchase and so comfortable. This summer I did a few hikes in the Dolomites and Alps in my Terraventure 3's and knew I needed something sturdier. I recently finished a four-day hike in Italy with a pack and the hiking boots pulled their weight. I only did about a week of mild breaking in just wearing them for a few walks. They are a bit overly padded in the back of the ankle in my opinion. Was planning on wearing thicker socks, but they were smaller than my Ultraventure 3s and Ultrafly's. Love the locking eyelet design for lacing up the ankles, I could loosen the foot portion of my laces when they needed some extra room but still keep the ankles snug. Highly recommend! I do wish they would come in more subdued colors like brown or grey. #sweepstakes

I have both the WP and regular and love them both! My husband also owns a WP. I agree with a previous review about the laces coming undone and colors but other than that there are no real complaints! We use them during the winter for snowshoeing and walking and in the fall for hunting and occasional hiking. We would love to see a higher top WP boot also though for late season hunting.

They're great! The ankle part needed lots of squeezing and crushing to break it in, but now it's perfect!!!

On all trails from fire roads to High Sierra granite and everything in between. Have had the non WP model so fit and performance were known. Just off of 4 hrs of snowy trail hiking and feet were toasty and dry. Many kudos to your team!

The shoe laces don't always stay tied. Other than that everything is great. I love the color. The reason I bought them is because of the toe box. It is just right for my toes.

These are comfortable right out of the box. The wide toe box works for my bunions. I haven’t been hiking yet, but I think they will work great!

Really love the wide toe box. I did go up another 1/2 size from the last hiking boots I had which I realized made a better fit, especially going downhill. Love the color and the fit. Wear liners and wool socks with them and they are perfect. Taking them on Maroon Bells hike soon!

This is the first boot that actually fits my narrow, heel, my short foot and wide forefront. I have a short foot but one that is impossibly wide. Most hiking boot manufacturers figure that if the foot is small, it probably doesn't need to make the boot in a wide size. And even when when they do, the boot just isn't wide enough. The Topos not only cup my heel so that I don't have to apply moleskin, but they are literally wide enough to accommodate the spread of my forefoot. And when I tie the boots properly, there is no "toe bang," which is a lovely feature because I've lost a few toenails in my time. We hikers don't really have lovely feet, do we? After wearing them on a 3C, I immediately bought another pair.

I had forgotten my hiking boots on vacation, wandered into a wilderness sports shop In Mammoth Lakes, CA & found these Topos. Since I had hiked in worn out running shoes, my feet were hurting, but when I tried these boots on, my pain literally went away. It was a no brainer to purchase these. I went on my longest hike ever (14.7 mi) in my new boots and felt MUCH better than any other hike and my feet did not hurt. Definitely recommend for women whose feet swell on the trail.

The width on these boots was great, but compared to my other Topos, this boot feels half to a full size small. I usually wear an 8.5 in Topos but in these, my toes touched the end of the shoe in the 8.5. Size up! Especially if you wear thick socks!

This is my second pair of the trailventure 2 and they fell apart way faster than the first. I love the fit, grip and that they keep my feet dry. I hate that after less than a month and a half of walking on trails the sole is completely detaching from the boot and letting debris in.
