WOW, I am a true 8.5 medium. 39 is my go to European sizing. Not only was 39 too small this shoe was so narrow my toes were hanging off the side of the shoe. Too bad because this is really well made shoe and I wanted them to work

I love this shoe but there is something wrong with it. The left foot especially doesn’t fit properly. My foot and little toe are pushed slightly to the side and off the sole. Very strange but have to return.

Size was true BUT my little toe is not on the shoe bed, its hanging over the side

I really wanted to like these sandals because I like a little heel height and the quality seems exceptional. In the end, I returned them because I was not sold on the style and for the price, I want to get more wear out of a shoe.

I wear size 5 1/2 - 6 size show so ordered black in size 36 and brown in size 37. After much debate, I decided the 37 was a better fit because the shoe seemed a little on the narrow so I am definitely returning the size 36. However, I still haven’t decided whether to keep the 37. I love the style of the shoe, the soft leather but it just doesn’t give me that instant comfort that most Taos footwear does.

The fit and style were great. Just felt a little to heavy, for a shoe i would want wear daily.

I have a narrow instep but the top of my foot requires medium width. All shoes can be hit or miss with me. These were a miss even though I like their look and style. The shoe is fine. My foot is just hard to fit.

I love the shoe but I have a wide foot and they are too narrow. Really bummed.

These would have been my 1st pair of Taos sandals…I say would have because I’m sending them back. The leather is butter soft, but the sandals arrived in a box with minimal packing (as in nothing in the sandals to prevent crushing the leather during transit). The loop is fine but my toe in it looks ridiculous. One sandal seemed okay and fit well enough but the other one had a sharp piece of Velcro that poked the top of my foot no matter how I adjusted the strap. For a pricey sandal, these are not worth the money.

So, this will sort of be a contradictory review. I love, love, love these--- comfy and really a work of art; I love the lines, design, etc., However, I never thought I would complain about leather being too soft... I'll explain. My feet are not super narrow but a little on the narrow side. These fit with the velcro pretty much to the end before it looks super odd. Now, after wearing them a few weeks, the leather is stretching with my movement and they are loose. It is disappointing because if I tighten the velcro more, the strap hangs off. These are a real hit to the budget, I would normally never spend this much on sandals but I really liked them. I must say, for the price, they should be made with a thicker grade of high quality leather and also cut to be a little tighter to allow for stretch and velcro adjustment. Also, I do not care for the logo patch being so large... subtle is better. The design is so beautiful though, really pretty from every angle. I am not sure what to do; I might have to take them to a shoe repair place to have them sewn tighter. I am sure I can't exchange them after wearing them outside. Anyway, bummer because they could have been top notch!

Taos sizing is changing rapidly. I wore 40. Those shoes still fit. My feet have not changed. Now I order a 7/38 and they are flopping around on my feet. What the heck is going on with them?

I wanted to love these shoes sooooo much. They are beautiful, leather is soft, but the toe hole was small there was no give for even a small bunion.

Kind of disappointing to receive used goods! Shame on you quality control….

Loved the style and the fit was good. When I walked, my heel slid off the side of the shoe. I assume that was because of the asymmetrical design of the show. I had to return them.

I first purchased directly from Taos. Returned as they were too short. Bought next size up on Zappos because they have a much easier return process. Brought them on vacation - super unhappy with fit and comfort and can’t return because I ended up wearing before I purchased another on trip

After a month of wearing these sandals, the cork delaminated from the outer sole. I would not recommend these sandals , way overpriced.
