I love the L.L. Bean cotton fisherman sweaters. I usually wear a size large and that's the size I initially purchased in this sweater. It was long, baggy, saggy and very unflattering. I returned the size large and ordered a medium, which is still roomy but much more flattering and comfortable.

Super comfortable and warm. I accidentally washed this and dried without reading instructions and it still fit great!

This sweater fits perfectly over a long sleeve shirt dress and looked so cute with knee high boots.

Lovely sweater that has a more tunic like length, which I enjoy. It is too short to be a sweater dress but I expect I should have no issues wearing it with leggings.

Beautiful quality and texture! Very warm cotton sweater! I usually wear cos or small, 5' 1" 135. Bought an xs in this style as it runs big.

I've had this sweater for a couple of years and I LOVE IT. The cotton is a heavy gauge, warm, but not scratchy. I have not washed it much, but I think it would only get better with washes. Runs a little large (I am a true medium),and the medium gives me some room for layering. Classic and comfortable!

I absolutely love this sweaterthe design, the fit, the length. I have a long torso and this is a classic piece to add to my wardrobe. My partner purchased the beige as a gift and I wear it as the model pictured does, with dark skinny jeans and brown riding boots.

I was gifted a large in the sweater and it was huge--way huge. I worked through the exchange process and was able to get a small in a color I liked and I LOVE IT!!! I have not worn a small in many years post babies but this sweater fits well being sized down. I read many reviews before concluding a size down would fit me; I am a true medium. I love the length and the side zippers for style. I love the woven pattern. I love the warmth for a Southern Girl who needs just enough to avoid a jacket.

I own 5 of these sweaters. I can fit an extra small or a small. They are very heavy weight wise and also warm. They fit to below my butt and I usually wear them with leggings and a pair of high boots. You can wear them with jeans. Dress it up or down. I get lots of compliments. People can see the quality of the sweater right away.

Even though I paid full price, it is worth it to wear a sweater that enhances my figure! The beige color matches everything. It is long enough for my out-of-proportion long body, which I love! The various knit styles communicate quality!

I have been considering this sweater for a long time, but was disappointed it was not offered in a plus size. I am typically a size 18 or 1x. So I bit the bullet and ordered XL and it fit perfectly. I have a bigger chest than waist and it shapes me beautifully. Pearl of wisdom, wash it in a sweater bag by itself on delicate.

I am in love with this sweater! The quality, fit, and look are first rate. Of course, I expect nothing less from L.L. Bean! I would highly recommend this product!

I like the fit of this sweater. I bought it to go with Women's Boundless Performance Pocket Tights and it makes a great outfit. The iron blue color is beautiful. It is a heavy sweater so I don't wear another layer under it. Some reviews said the sweater was scratchy but I don't think it is. I washed it in my washer on gentle and dried it on a laundry rack. It came out beautifully. I'd recommend this sweater.

Cabling is gorgeous on this sweater. It is very substantial in weight and the color is beautiful. I've worn it on cool summer nights and cold fall/winter days and it's always the right weight. I got it in beige and mountain red...both really pretty. I have to put it in the dryer because it takes too long to dry flat and ends up smelling less than fresh. Neither one have shrunk at all. Would definitely recommend this sweater!

I usually wear size Small, but the review comments indicated this sweater runs a bit large, so I got XS and it fits perfectly. It is heavy but comfortable, and very warm, which I wanted. It flatters my figure and looks great with straight- or skinny-leg jeans, or leggings.
