I bought two. Usually I am a medium but I ordered a small as well. Both worked for me. The medium is long enough to cover my butt in leggings, the small is a nice look with jeans. These are heavy cotton knot but the drape is soft enough. Colors were lovely bright (gold and rust/red).

Beautiful, but a bit long for me. It's high quality and well made. It was somewhat stiff cotton like other reviewers have noted, but I think that is how these fisherman sweaters are. I'm 5'7 and it fell low on hips in an XS. Had to return.

This is a very large fit in that I am typically a medium but I was swimming in that size and needed a small. The cut is flattering and the cable pattern is lovely, but the yarn is not cozy or soft. Still, it's a quality garment that I'm sure will last a long time and the color is rich.

I would actually give 4.5 stars. I saw all the other comments about how big this sweater was and ordered a medium. It fits perfectly but doesn't run large. Arms are more fitted bit stretch as you wear and it. The length is great to wear with leggings or jeans. So cute! I love it!

I really love the color and style of this sweater and it goes perfectly with my jeans. The one thing that is disappointing is the zippers on the sides do not stay flat. They tend to curl in or bunch. That is why the 4 star rating instead of 5.

It runs a little big but this allows room for a shirt underneath. I find the scoop neck on this sweater more comfortable than the smaller neck openings. The little side zippers are so cute!

Taking a star off because it runs pretty large and I had to make an extra trip to the store to get what I wanted. I am usually a S and had to return for an XS. I probably could size down to an XXS, but I am guessing there might be some shrinkage since it's cotton. The sweater itself is well-made and looks great on. The zippers add some interest. Love the cream color.

Sweater is physically very heavy. It is definitely tunic length. Covers my bum, so it is perfect with leggings. Yes, it is kind of boxy, so if you wanted a fitted sweater there are other options. I like that it just hangs. It is casual yet classic. I have not had a problem with it stretching out too much and I like the zipper detail on the side. If you don't snag it too much, this should last for years.

I like it...the fit chart was way off for me. I started with a Large, then Medium, then small, and finally the extra Small fit. I'm 5'3", 135#'s, thick wasted. My measurements suggested to order the Large - way off for me. That aside, LL Bean was easy to work with on the reorders and return, and it fits nicely.

I went back and forth on this sweater. For plus size shoppers, the XL is a Size 18, or a small 2X. I love the zippers on the sides which allows it to be looser fitting through the hips (great for leggings). It is very heavy and warm. I like that it is in cotton, but hoped for a softer feeling fabric. The texture of the cables and weaves are slightly scratchy, especially on the arms which are more fitted. I am glad that I got it, but not completely wowed.

I love the style of this sweater, however I did return it. The front and back center hemline would not lay flat. Both protruded out. I'm short so maybe it would lay better on a taller person.

This sweater is so comfy! It's a great quality knit and you can dress it up or down. I took the advice of other reviews and sized down by 1 size. It does stretch out a little with wear so that helped it fit perfect and still look nice throughout the day.

Good quality and nice color but the fit is more suited to a slim person.

Great sweater. My only complaint is that the fabric is a little scratchy.

The color is so beautiful. Size down; I'm small-medium and ordered a medium. It was longer than expected but will still wear it. I purchased two other colors in small. LOVE these sweaters!!!

This sweater is so cozy and I love the color. It's long enough to wear with leggings under it and not feel like your butt is hanging out (if that's something that might bother you like it does for me). I feel like the collar is a little too thick and wide so that's why I gave only 4 stars but otherwise I really like this sweater and will be wearing it often during the colder months. I am 5'5 and 200 lbs and ordered a large which fits nicely.

I really wanted to love this sweater. Maybe I should have ordered a Medium, but I have a long torso and arms so Large is usually better. Anyway, it's very boxy and baggy. I felt like I was wearing a gunny sack.

Short zippers on either side of sweater above where your pant pockets would be is a brilliant addition! It lets you slip your hands into your jean pockets to keep your fingers warm or grab your keys or wallet. I got this sweater to hang out in as it is cut long (mid-hip on me) and find those zippers are a real plus.

I always look at reviews to determine fit and quality. As for fit - it's very typical LL bean. I am 5'7" and 130 lbs and got a S but could likely have worn XS. The S is roomy but fits. I like the scoop on the lower back and front so that you can wear jeans or leggings. It's a very heavy sweater. As in - there's actually weight to it. It feels comfortable once it's on and I don't notice how heavy it is. I bought ivory and navy and am keeping both.

I bought a medium- as I usually am, but this year this sweater was huge. I ended up returning to the store where I tried on a small and Xsmall. Both fit but it was difficult to tell which should have been my true size given the description of the sweater (tunic). Tunics are typically big but the medium was heavy and seemed too much like a sack. the neck line was very large which didn't help. so I ended up with the small and while it's not a true "tunic" it's longer than a typical sweater and I wear it a lot. it is heavier which keeps me warm.

It's a beautifully made sweater with a good weight to it and gorgeous yarn work. I would recommend it to a friend only if they are taller than 5"6.
I ordered an XXS and still, it was just so oversize that I was swimming in it. I looked like a child playing dress-up. Sadly, I must return it. I do hope they will make petite sizes in these!

Beautiful knit sweater in the cocoa color! Lovely. I would have needed to size down, if I kept it. It was unfortunately, just too heavy for my liking, like wearing a thick cotton blanket. Just lovely though!
