I received this sweater as a Christmas gift this year, and it is super high quality! The sweater is made very well and is quite heavy! Awesome for cold winters! It is very stylish and flattering in both its fit and pattern. The zippers on the sides are great to leave open for when you want to layer a shirt underneath and while you are sitting down. The sleeves are not overly long which is a huge plus! The length of the sweater is a little longer, which is great to pair with a pair of leggings or jeans. I can already tell that this sweater will be a staple piece in my wardrobe for years to come! Absolutely love it!

I took a chance and bought two of these, one in cream and one in navy - very glad I did! I tend to like my clothing to fit somewhat loose, but not baggy, so I went for a size medium after reading the reviews. I'm 5'7" and 143 lbs - the fit is perfect - skims the body lightly, very happy with the extra long arms, and I love the length which hits me right at the upper thigh. I received several compliments the first day I wore the cream sweater, including from my husband who usually doesn't notice what I wear. :-) These are heavy weight, perfect for winter, and I'm guessing I'll be wearing these for many years to come.

This is my new favorite sweater. I immediately ordered one in black. Bummed because it is back ordered until March. But I will have it for next year. I've ordered sweaters from Ireland that are wool and awesome. But this one is cotton and easier to care for with providing a lot of warmth. It is a forever sweater. I own a ladies clothing store and I buy a lot of sweaters. They are pretty but this one I just love!!

I have wanted this Signature sweater for years and I finally ordered one (on sale too). I absolutely love it. I'm 5'4", 148 pounds and bought the beige Medium which fits perfectly with just a hint of room to spare which is perfect to me. It's obviously made very well with the cables on front and back. The look is most definitely "classic". It can be worn with anything leggings, jeans, or skirts. It's an impressive piece and you will be noticed wearing this sweater. It's gorgeous. The fiber is heavy, but I wouldn't call it "scratchy". I'm very sensitive to scratchy fiber and this is not scratchy, besides, it will soften once it's washed properly. This sweater is a winter must. I am so happy I finally purchased it. I would like to order another color.

The sweater is absolutely beautiful! But....it is way too long for me. At least I think it's way too long for me. Sadly, I am returning it.

I wanted this sweater last year and my size was sold out. This year I got it early and what a GREAT sweater! Not real heavy but nice and toasty warm. I know this will be my 'go to' sweater for the long winter weather months ahead.

My new favorite sweater! Heavy, densely knit, well made - cabling and details are lovely - will be a wardrobe staple for many years to come. I followed the advice and sized down, it does run large. Looks great with a scarf, not too long. Zippers are a nice touch, add some style.

This sweater is the most cozy item in my closet. It was sold out online in my size (small) so I called LL Bean and they found one at a store in VA that was willing to ship (LOVE LL Bean's customer service!). The sweater is very thick, heavy weave and kept me warm in Michigan over the holidays. Drapes nicely, and I love the length which makes it very flattering. I'm 5'6" and the small is a great length. High quality product, as always.

I love the weight of this sweater the way it drapes is totally awesome. I'm a 40DDD and it falls past my butt which is a nice size so I really encourage anyone who thinks it won't fit to try this sweater I ordered the black and about a month ago ordered the cream colored one for my daughter in college and she thinks it's really nice.My only complaint is UPS just delivered it after tracking said it should've been here 2-3 days ago and both bags were slashed I hope I don't have an issue later with a sliced sweater but so far so good I did take pictures of the bag before I opened it just in case.

LL Bean has great customer service and quality products, but I don't usually find their clothes very fashionable. But this sweater is an exception. It's the classic cable knit sweater with a stylish fit. It runs big! I'm 5'5 and 133 and an xs fits perfectly. I love the side zippers and how it falls below the waist. I purchased the cream, but you can't go wrong with the black either.

I have never owned a Sweater like this in my entire life. What a gorgeous perfect Sweater, the weight is perfect for my smallish build, fits like it was made to order for me. I am so thrilled, The Sweater arrived on perfect time, we just got hit with a large cold-front in Florida, so first to wear, My Fisherman Sweater, I bought a Black too, have not worn that one yet, but I will, asap, waiting on another cold front. After years of searching for the perfect cotton cable knit sweater I have finally found it! I loved it so much that I bought it in 2 colors. I usually buy size large and did so. Had to return and get mediums - just right.

Title says it all - well made sweater, not super flattering but definitely warm and easy to layer. Does run big. The beige looks more cream in the photo but is definitely beige in real life. Fabric is a little stiffer than I expected by my expectations were off. It's really well made and you can tell it will last a long time.

I love an Irish fisherman sweater....minus the itchy wool. This cotton knit sweater does not disappoint. Comfortable and does not 'grow' while wearing or washed! I also sized down for fear of the known cable knit growing in size which most cotton sweaters usually do when worn or washed. This has been my go to sweater since I received it. I am busty and this is SUPER flattering on and not bulky. The shaped hem falls perfectly over leggings without apppearing 'with child'. ;)

This sweater is a wonderful chunky knit that is perfect for fall and winter. I love the length. It falls a little longer on the hips than most sweaters and the hem has a nice rounded shape that is flattering. The knit it tightly woven together making the sweater nice and warm. I got the cream color which is very classic and goes with everything! I do think this sweater runs big. I usually wear size Medium in tops, but I ordered this sweater in a size small and I think it still has a nice slouchy look.

Beautiful!! The cotton is very dense, heavyweight and warm. I'm 5'6, 125 lbs and I bought the XS in both beige and black. I can wear it with a camisole and/or a long sleeve tee underneath. The hem on the beige does sort of bunch/stretch out/duck tail after wearing while sitting, and the length is not quite long enough for me to think of it as a tunic, particularly in the black, but the sweaters are just so gorgeous and I'm very happy. I was so excited when this sweater finl=ally came- the style is classic and on trend, and the material is thick and warm. I can't wait to wear it!

When I received this in the mail, I wasn't sure I was going to like the length. There's also two zippers on the bottom sides of the sweater that weren't obvious to me when I purchased. I put it on with a pair of jeans and a light tshirt and I LOVE IT! It has a nice casual fit without being too bulky. Sleeves are long enough for me, and the material is nice and sturdy (if you're looking for a fluffy-soft kinda sweater a fisherman style is not for you) while also being warm and comfortable. I'm 5-10 165lbs. I throw this sweater on over everything. Super cute with skinny jeans, regular jeans, or even flannel pants. Add a scarf and you're good to go on those cool and damp days. This will be a piece I wear for years.

I love the Fisherman Sweaters. They are a heavy weight cotton that retain their shape and color through numerous washes. This sweater does not disappoint.

I am 5'10", and eyed the fisherman sweater for awhile. After reading reviews, I believe it would be too short in the sleeves and length for me. I am not interested in a cropped sweater. I decided to try this out- glad I did. I got the washed navy color. Definitely need the cream. Side zippers are a nice touch, but not sure what the purpose is. Thick, warm and substantial. I do not feel like this is a "tunic" on me. The sleeves are perfect length, but my bottom is not covered in this sweater, it hits just below my hips. This was a nice second option for me, as I really love the classic look of a fisherman sweater. LL Bean, please consider making "talls" in classic items like this. You have a market for it. For reference, I'm about 141lb, 5'10" and more of an hour glass shape. Took a size SM.

I ordered this in both a small and extra small (i'm usually a size small or 4/6) and I felt that the small worked better. If you want a tighter fit size down, but if you want it to look like how the model is wearing it get your regular size. I honestly love the fit and style of this with the zippers on the size. The quality is amazing and this is 100% worth the price.

Beautiful sweater. Heavy. I am 5'6. 140 lbs. I usually take a medium but sometimes I purchase a large in LLBean sweaters because I don't like a "just fits" or fitted look/comfort. The medium in this item is plenty big enough. However , the sleeves are a little tight and the boat neckline is very wide. I will need to wear something under it ~
