This is an absolutely gorgeous and high quality sweater. I can't wear wool, so love it when I can find quality all cotton construction. The open neck and tunic length are great features, and for me, this sweater ran true to size (M) - with a slight "oversized" style. All that said, I had to send it back. With my shape/frame, this sweater just added instant weight/bulk (5'5, 145 lbs, 34DDD). The heavy cable just didn't work for me, but this sweater would be a "must have" for many!

i love the shape of this sweater! the longer arms, the way the zippers allow some flare at the bottom... just beautiful. cotton is thick, but not bulky, and sweater drapes beautifully. does run large--i'm 5'7", 140, and an XS is good (maybe even slightly roomy). while the cotton is wonderful, what i REALLY want is a wool fisherman sweater just like this... PLEASE won't you consider make this sweater in wool. i'd buy at least one in every color! such a beautiful design!

This is a beautifully made sweater. I usually order a size large in this type of item but after reading reviews I decided to order the medium and I'm so glad I did. It's a perfect roomy fit! I love the neckline, the fisherman knit and the length. Definitely recommend!

Lovely sweater. Be advised that the fit is generous; long and roomy. I'm 5'9, 135 lbs and the XS is loose but looks nice. As the description says, this is a great pairing with leggings or skinny jeans. Love it.

I love this sweater. It is my favorite out of all the sweaters in my closet. I started with the black, ordered the cream last year and just ordered the red one with a promo code and $10 coupon. These sweaters are the perfect length to wear with leggings. They are long enough to cover you without being too long and are just fitted enough to not be frumpy. They are a nice heavy weight and the cotton is comfortable without being itchy. I've noticed that they tend to stretch out a bit with wear but the shape comes back after washing. I wash these in the washing machine on gentle and then dry them on the drying rack. They are holding up well that way. I ordered my usual size small and there is a bit of room, which is typical of LL Bean sizing. This is a great sweater. I would wear one every day in the winter if I could get away with no one noticing.

Absolutely beautiful. I was unsure what size to get because of the reviews. I decided on a small and it fits great! I have a difficult time with sweaters and sometimes like to get a Tall in other brands but LLBean doesn't offer this (sad face). I have another sweater where the sleeves and torso are way too short and it's disappointing. This one is great. I'm 5'9" 155 for reference. I got the cream but I might need to get the other colors. Love the zipper detail. It's nice and long ( not enough for over bum for leggings though) and the sleeves are long too, yay! (Not like the model but I do have wide-ish shoulders). But overall very happy with the above!

This is a true Fisherman Sweater---heavy, substantial and not made of a super soft cotton but rather a heavy, fibrous cotton. I got the Black Cherry and the color that arrived matches the color on the internet---gorgeous color. I am 5'3" and weigh 120lb--sporty/petite build and ordered a S. Shoulders and sleeves fit perfectly, though length is a bit long. I do wish it were a bit less 'boxy' in the waist--since it is a women's sweater, they could have cut it in slightly in the waist area. Undecided whether I'll keep or send back. That said, it is lovely.

I love this sweater! It's beautiful, a nice weight for the winter or fall, warm and comfortable. I've washed mine in the washing machine a few times on gentle and it's holding up fine. I haven't tried putting it in the dryer. I love that it's long enough to wear over leggings. I am 5'3" 130 LB and the small fits me with a bit of room. I loved this one so much I also ordered the black version. The sweater is a little pricey but it is worth every penny.

I ordered the cream color last season and loved it so much I ordered another color. The length is perfect to wear with leggings. I received compliments all winter long - a must buy.

I originally purchased this sweater in denim blue and loved it so much I bought another in the oatmeal color!! This warm sweater can be worn alone or with a vest and a denim or striped shirt looks great underneath! Highly recommend!!

I've always wanted a fisherman's sweater, and this one is just about perfect. I ordered a small & medium after reading the reviews that mentioned it ran large. I'm 5'7, 145 lbs., and I'm going with the medium. It has a little extra room which allows it to hang nicely. Note: very heavy. I live in a warm climate and the times I can wear this item is limited. Still worth it!

I love this sweater. I'm tall so I like that it's long. It has short cute little zipper accents on each side at the bottom. It's a heavy sweater. I bought he charcoal and love it but if I didn't already have a cream sweater I may have gotten that. Feels like a sweater you own for life! I'm usually a size 12/large in most clothes but I got this in a medium and it's perfect, still a little roomy.

When I ordered this sweater it was on back order and let me tell you it was worth the wait. It is a gorgeous sweater. Every time I've worn it I've received compliments. Another great sweater from LLBean!!

This is a Beautiful sweater but it was too large too long and too heavy of a knit for me so i sent it back. I would order it again in a medium instead of a large it runs large.

I own two of these in different colors. I love the fit, the look & the comfort. I also purchased this sweater in a different color than mine for a Christmas gift. The recipient loves it also & wears it often.

Totally love this tunic sweater!!! I had tried to order it at one time and it seemed to be among the missing....waited for a week or so and called again and lo and behold it was available. Used the reviews as the sweater was only available in Large but have no problem with the sizing. Understand sweater is going to be available in newer colors soon. As always LLBean is "my place" to shop!!

This is a very nice sweater. It's soft, not stiff like some cotton sweaters. I'm 5'7", 135 lbs and long waisted and a S fit well. I liked that this sweater isn't a short as many Bean sweaters in a S. If 1/2 stars were available, I'd give it 4 1/2 stars because it was pretty pricey, even for a good sweater. My advice is to buy it on sale if you can find it for sale!

This sweater runs big. I am 5'3", 150 lbs., and a Medium fits fine, with room for layering. I like the length because it covers my butt. The neckline is rather large, so I usually wear it over a turtleneck. It is a heavy knit with a really attractive fisherman pattern, but my husband assures me that it doesn't make me look fat! I got the spruce green, which is a nice deep green with blue tones. I was going to order the plum color, but that sold out.

Great sweater! Love the fit and the style. I got a size larger so it would be roomy. Goes well with every scarf I own. I originally bought the cream color, then returned to purchase the blue one as well.

I always wanted a nice fisherman style sweater, and this one is perfect. I work in a cold office and this sweater with just a pima turtleneck underneath, keeps me warm & comfortable. The sweater knit is loose enough for it to breathe, but still kept its shape even after a long day. The tunic length is perfect with skinny jeans and boots, and the side zippers are just an extra detail that makes it unique. Plus, the soft, natural color cotton will go with anything. I ordered a size Large and it fits perfect for me, but I prefer a relaxed fit. (I'm 5'6" and 160 lbs.) If you want something more fitted, order a size down.

For those of you still waiting for backordered colors, consider the Dark Blue Spruce. It is a true dark green, there is no blue in this - think Christmas tree. I am 5'4" and 145 lbs - lots of curves for my height and petite frame so usually bulky sweaters overwhelm me or make me look dumpy. This one did not. I went according to other reviews and sized down to a small and am so glad I did! The arms were a little long but I can push them up. Very flattering sweater, the wider neckline makes this more feminine than the typical crew neck. Best part is that this is a fisherman sweater that can be worn in the southern US!!!!

Even though it's cotton, it's still quite warm without the itchiness of wool. I am 5'7" and 135 lbs. and the small fits very well. As I am also long-waisted, I am glad that it is long enough to cover my rear if I wear leggings.

This is a gorgeous sweater. I love that it is cotton and not itchy at all. I purchased an XS and I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs and it's a great fit. I want another color!
