I live in PA, so I wear flannel pajamas all winter long. I am 5' 1", 118 lbs. so I bought these pajamas in a petite small size. I washed & dried according to directions & found that they shrank a little bit. The flannel "fluffed up" quite a bit which makes it soft, but it leaves little dark balls of lint around my house. Maybe they'll go away after a 2nd wash, but I've never had flannel leave traces before. The rise of the pants is not as high as I expected, but not terribly uncomfortable, so I just wear them slightly below my waist.Over all the fit is good -- sleeves and pants are just the right length now, after the 1st wash & dry, but any more shrinking in subsequent washes may make them unwearable. I'm a huge fan of scotch plaid and have many LL Bean scotch plaid flannel shirts, so these black watch plaid PJs are one of my favorite styles.

Well-made pajamas with pockets in the pants and even buttoned cuffs on the top. Ordered in buffalo-plaid. Rating would have been 5 stars but for the strangely overly generous sizing of the pants legs, which are disproportionately large compared to the Petite XS top and look like palazzo pants on me. But they are pajamas after all, so better generous than stingy in the sizing. And they are cozy, very comfortable and keep me warm (which was the point of buying them!).

What a perfect time for flannel PJ's and all things flannel in Maine, and Bean does do flannel right! As others have stated the sizing of the top & bottom is off. The top fits perfectly, but the bottoms feel like a size larger, the reason for 4 stars. They did shrink a wee bit after washing. They are very comfortable & warm, nice quality. I'm 5'3 137 and I ordered a M Thank you

Good quality and fabric weight. A bit pricey but better than most everything else out there

Really love theses PJs. Well made, and very little shrinkage. The only thing, a lot of the softness comes off in the dryer.

Comfortable, love the pockets. Bought this type of PJ several years ago, and still in good condition through the wash every week.

These are very comfortable and I really like the style. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they did start to pill after the first wash. They also shed. I find the pills of fabric on my sheets etc. I would still purchase again for the price and comfort.

I like the pajamas but I hate the button on the sleeve. These would be much nicer if they had a regular sleeve like the men's version has.

I have had LLB flannel PJ set for years and loved that they didn't overheat me, a soft flannel that absorbs well. Now, the fabric is quite changed. Very soft and cozy, but is hotter, doesn't absorb as much. I am hoping it does after more washings.
Gave just 4 stars because the sizing is way off. I ordered medium knowing they run large, but it was just fitted. So preferring loose, I got the large. It is HUGE! but I love the tartan plaid pattern and well made construction. Will keep them, but really wish they skip the side pant pockets and make them same sizing as in past. They was very well without much shrinkage. Length maintained.

These pajamas were incredibly soft AFTER I painstakingly cut out the six (SIX!) tags that were in them. Four of the tags were that scratchy synthetic fabric material and the other two were that plasticky paper material. There were serged into the seam so it took a little while to cut them out completely, but luckily the tag material frayed pretty easily so it wasn't impossible.
If the tags were printed directly on the fabric, or were easier to rip out, or were not scratchy I would have given these pajamas five stars. They are soft and warm and fit well.

For those who are in search for cozy, cotton pajamas, look no further.
This is the set you need to stay warm in cold winter nights or chilly late autumn season.
Size may run a bit loose/long so one size down may help to not trip yourself.

I am very thin and tall and the pant length was super, sleeves on top could have been longer. B ut I have extremely long arms. Still better length than most . Very warm for MN winters. I would recommend.

Nice and soft, as well as warm. They make me look frumpy but who cares? They are great flannel pj's. This particular color isn't as bright as it appears in the pictures. I purchased the red plaid too and a pair for my husband. Worth the money as they are we'll made and the material is good quality.

VERY comfortable. Nicely made. I get a pair every year. My sole complaint is that the front facings, the pieces of fabric that back the front two sides of the top, are not sewn down, or sewn in place, so that after they are washed once or twice, they no longer lay flat. I routinely sew them in place myself and then they are fine.

I have bought many flannel PJ's over the years. I love them for their softness and comfort. For some reason this pair was different. The top was a bit tight and the bottoms were roomy. Never have the PJ's fit like this.

The top fit well in a size large and I am 5'5" and 150# and like a roomy top so that was ok. However the pants are huge and way too big. I love the flannel and the quality is excellent but wish the bottoms could be ordered in a separate different size. Love the pockets in the bottoms.

Glad I got the Tall. Were too long when I bought them - had to roll up couple of inches. Washed in cold water and tumble dried low 2X and they shrunk to fit.

I am a small-boned woman with a lot of weight on myself (my waist is big, not top heavy). The XL Pants are too large and the XL Shirt is too snug on the lower half. The material is NICE! But these have to be returned as it didn't fit me properly.

I love these though they are oversized for me. The pants, especially, were too wide. I bought a small to try (and then returned it) and that was slightly TOO small on the top - not wide enough at the waist.. So medium is fine, tho' the pants were too roomy. Too full or wide. (Not sure of the best terminology.) Still, very cozy.

I normally wear an XS in all my LLBean clothing so I purchased the XS PJ. The PJ came loose to allow for shrinkage. After the first wash the PJ shrank to fit. But after the 2nd wash, it shrank some more and now the top is a little tight across the shoulders and not as comfortable as I like. I'm small frame so it would be really tight for someone with broader shoulders. I haven't done a third wash yet and I hope it will not shrink anymore. I washed and dry according to direction. I bought several sets that I have not worn yet in XS and now want to exchange for the S. I really like the pajamas and the flannel is good quality. Just beware that it will shrink and if you want a comfortable fit go up one size.
