Top and bottom sized differently. Top fit as a small should, bottoms fit more like medium or large.

These pajamas are not xs petite. They are huge and should be Clarke. Sized really wrong.

So disappointed because these are not anywhere near the good fabric of your flannel shirts. They smell funny ,shrink and are scratchy to the skin. I am sending them back.

I returned the large that the size chart suggested I get because they were very large and long and customer service said they would only have minimal shrinkage. Before washing I tried the medium top over a shirt thinking if it was roomy they would work to sleep in after laundering. I washed per instructions in cold water and delicate dry cycle and the top was too tight across the back and pulled at the shoulder and arms. The bottoms were a little snug around the waist and the waist material bulky with the drawstring after washing also. Warm and very soft. Was so looking forward to them. Wondering now if the large would work after washing and shrinkage but these are very expensive and cost to return each time. However I may try since I need the warmth. There was also a large amount of lint on the dryer screen. We have purchased many many items over the years with no problems. My husband had several pairs of flannel pajamas with no fit issues. I am so disappointed as I am unable to find the heavier flannel anywhere else. I see others have said the pajamas have changed and they no longer fit properly.

This material was nice but the sizing was way off. The shirt ran really small. Ordering a size up meant the pants are too big. I had to return these.

I bought a 2X petite a few years back. It fit perfectly, but now you can't get them. For $178 for one pair of pajamas they'd better fit right. I sent them back. Too bad because UI really like them.

The Top runs small, the sleeves were short, and bottoms were huge. If I would have bought the top to fit the bottoms would be way too big and if I would have bought the bottoms to fit the top would be too small. They are not for someone who is evenly proportioned. The bad thing is, I had them monogramed, so they are not returnable. Having never bought pajamas from LL Bean I should have bought them without monograming to see how the sizing ran. Also the flannel was very stiff and cheap looking. They are definitely not worth the price.

Don't like these pj's. They are scratchy and just not comfortable at all. I used to be able to get some pale pink or pale blue flannel pj's from Bean and loved them and these I thought was the closest I could find like them but they are not like them at all. If Bean had flannel pj's like they used to I would order several pairs but hate these!!

I've had two pairs of Bean flannel pajamas. The last pair -- the bottoms -- didn't survive the pandemic -- they just fell apart after being worn all day, every day, so I thought I'd replace them. Wrong! You changed the shape of the pants, added a drawstring and pockets, which I love in my pants but not in pajamas, and the fabric is heavier. They're bulky and sweaty and poof up around my middle. You also put buttons on the wrists? Who wants that on pajamas? I washed them before I wore them and didn't even try them on because I didn't expect this, and I am pajama-less without them, so I guess I'm stuck, but how disappointing. Some things shouldn't be changed.

Purchased the black watch. Washed per garment instructions and they left a huge mess in the washer and on anything they come in contact with. Strands of fabric and fuzz were all over the washer and dryer. Washed a second time with the same results. This is the poorest quality 'flannel' I have ever seen. Note: Disregard fit - only entered b/c required field to comment. Not worn.

Having purchased winter pajamas and robes from LLBean exclusively, since the 1980's, this is the first time that I feel I must register a complaint about the quality of these pajamas. The fabric is awful. It's thin, leaves blue fuzzies on every single item that goes in the washing machine with it. Some of those have to be removed by pulling them off. I put them in the clothes dryer on air only, then hung them to dry. The lint dryer was thick with the blue lint that came off this fabric. The fabric 'pilled' after only wearing once.

The top and bottom were completely different sizes. The pants were loose and baggy, which would've been fine, but I couldn't even button up the top. I was so looking forward to lounging around in them, but alas, they were returned.

The pajamas went from loose medium to extra small on the first wash. The laundry directions were followed. They are very expensive pjs that can never be washed. Worst clothing I've ever purchased from ll bean. I will probably stop shopping with them when the materials used are that poor

I have requested a refund and will be returning the product. The material is inferior quality, so much lint in the wash the first time. It left the material soft but flimsy. Now I have a hole in the pocket already. It's only been three weeks. Very disappointed in this L.L. Bean product. Have purchased pajamas for 20 years from them, this is not a good product..

The pajamas are poorly made and fell apart in the wash. The material shredded all over my washer and even more so when I put them in the dryer. Very poor quality and not worth the price. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of LL Bean as usually it's pretty good.

Experience has taught me that regular fit LLBean clothing for women fits best for anyone who is no taller than 5'6". I'm 5'8", and seldom have I found the regular sized items, particularly shirts and sweaters, to be long enough in length for me, especially the sleeve length. So when I saw these were offered in TALL, I took the plunge and ordered a TALL Medium, with great expectations. What a disappointment! The shirt fit pretty well - sleeve length just long enough (although with washing I suspect it would be too short), but the pants - ENTIRELY different story. I had a good 6 inches extra in length. I could have worked with that by just shortening them some, but, and here's the real problem - the rise on these is SO long they came up a good six inches above my waist! If I were to wear these at my waist, the crotch would hang down uncomforably low. What's up with the sizing? In addition, let's talk flannel. It's adequate. A bit on the thin side, nothing special. These were returned. I'll have to shop elsewhere for nice flannel pajamas.

I wanted to love these! They are so soft and cozy, but they are just not durable. Buttons came off in the very first wash. For the price, I was hoping for something that would last.

Ok, I'll start by saying I have an old pair of these (probably at least 7 years) and I loved them but found after a while their softness turned into cardboard. All the fleece fuzz was gone, they seem like basic cotton without the softness of cotton, or anything. I thought I would try again - I ordered another pair recently, adorable print, so soft, warmth right as they touched my skin. However, I just got them out of the dryer after the 5th wash and the fuzzy-softness is noticeably disappearing. WHY!! I want to love these. I know the bottoms are huge, I don't mind because they are comfortable. I know the legs are too long but in petite the arms are too short so I don't mind the long legs. I love the weight - these are the only pj's that are fleece I can sleep in without overheating. But I can't deal with the soft material losing it's fuzzy warmth. The price of these should reflect the quality and it doesn't. I am so sad...these seem so cheap.

I love LLBean flannel and the cold weather required some cozy PJs. Unfortunately, I forgot why I don't own any...The bottoms are HUGE and the tops are restrictive. (The "how did it fit? bar will not let me enter two opposite ratings.) I am a pretty solid medium in other LLB petite items. I have returned them in past years but was hoping they had fixed this problem. Nope.

I have been buying from LL Bean for many many years and these flannel pajamas were the poorest quality I've ever seen. The first time they were washed (acc. to directions) they pilled and sloughed off so much and it was the same the third time. Also, you could see light through them. I never write reviews but felt like I had to address the quality issue.

I had to return these. Very strange fit. The pants were huge but the top was tight in the underarms! Not what I was hoping for from LLBean! Because the pants were so big, going a size up was not sadly option. Why have the top so tight? Especially when they are pj's where you expect to move around and get tugged at? And I mean I tried them on and under the arms was uncomfortable without moving. Hopefully this wonderful company will fix this issue!

The fit of these pajamas was great. I washed them before wearing and much of the fabric came off in the washing machine and subsequently in the dryer. I washed and dried them again and the same amount came off. I figured by my fifth washing they would be threadbare. What a disappointment. They felt so soft and comfortable. I was looking forward to wearing them. I sent the fuzz from the washer and dryer with my return. What a mess in the washer, dryer and my floor when I shook them out!

I bought my husband a pair of LL Bean flannel pajamas about 5 years ago and the fabric still looks brand new, so I was very excited to buy a pair for myself. They arrived last week and I finally had a chance to pop them in the wash today, getting ready for colder nights this week. Sadly, they pilled. Terribly. On everything in the washer. When I hung the pjs on the line, they were completely pilled and looked like pajamas that have been worn hard for a long time. I have bought from LL Bean for many, many years and have come to expect high quality products, but this flannel is clearly of a different grade than the flannel used in my husband's pajamas. I hate to do it because I really, really wanted to wear flannel jammies this year, but I'm going to have to return them. For the cost, I can't justify keeping them, especially considering they're doing so badly and I haven't even worn them yet.
