I expected a thicker fabric, especially with "quilting". This is not worth the price. The only good thing is the larkspur color, but this will go to our local clothes charity. I don't like the hassle to return nor to pay fees. I used to trust L L Bean, but now I'm wary.

I ordered my recommended size which was large tall. This sweatshirt was massive. I called customer service and she tried so hard, but we could not figure out the appropriate size. On paper, large should have fit. In reality, it seemed like I was a small. I did not do an exchange as I don't want to do another return, and neither of us were confident we had the correct sizing. Quilted fabric is soft and definitely warm. If you understand LLB sizing, this would be a warm staple

I am usually a 2x in jackets so I purchased a 3x to have room for long sleeve shirts. The sleeves are too tight unfortunately.

I am full busted and bought a size Large at first. Since I prefer a looser fit, and the Large was a tiny bit snug in the bust area I returned it and ordered an XL. The XL fit great everywhere, except that the bottom of the sweatshirt was so loose and flared out like a skirt. Very strange look for a sweatshirt. I did not experience any issues with the zipper as other reviews have mentioned. Unfortunately I will be returning the XL as well.

The fabric, color, and style were very nice, but I had to return it. I bought a size 2X and the sleeves were more than four inches too long. Note to LL Bean: Your arms don't get longer if you gain weight. I also wish the garment had been A-lined a little to accommodate larger hips.

The color and fit are great. The zipper catches on the fabric and takes several attempts. I've found this issue with other products as well. Very disappointed in the decline in quality.

Sweatshirt is very stiff. There is a facing on the inside that make is worse. Cuffs and banding around the bottom are stiff too. Sleeves are super long and out of proportion for the rest of the garment. I'm 5'10" and had to fold sleeves up. This is not as nice and cozy as you would expect it to be. I was disappointed because LL Beans quality is usually spot on. This went back.

The sweatshirt looked like in the photo when it arrived. I liked the deep green color. What I did not like was how thin it was and the boxy shape. The zipper is flimsy, too, which is frustrating because I really hoped it would be a good purchase. Unfortunately, it is going back.

Purchased Slate Blue Heather and Light Gray Heather. Slate Blue seems very nice all around, although I haven't yet washed it. Writing a review so early because the Light Gray's collar, side panels and sleeves (the 60% cotton-40% polyester sections) are noticeably yellowish compared to the body. The color differences are obvious even in the product photo, and unacceptable especially at $89.00. Returning the Light Gray unopened.

This item is a zip up, quilted sweatshirt, the color is beautiful and why I considered keeping it but for these reasons I decided not to. First it had a horrible oily smell when it first came out of the plastic wrap, it did disperse after washing, but the odor smelled like petroleum, next the zipper although very sturdy started sticking. It did not have a tab to hang it, since it has no hood hanging it up causes a dent in the fabric. The material is an inexpensive fabric not worth the high price tag. Not made in the USA, which I find odd as llbean is synonymous with Maine.

Love the sweatshirt BUT the pockets do not hold my cell phone which keeps falling out. It's a problem if I don't have other pockets to use. I'm disappointed.

I found the quilting made this stiffer and tighter than the mock-neck zip-up I usually buy. Didn't like it. I wear, and have for 20 years worn LLBean regular small, and have many of the mock-neck zip-ups, they all still fit fine. This one was binding.

It looked as if this jacket was thrown together in a hurry. Upper seams on pockets did not meet in front and zipper was too difficult to manage. Very disappointed, because fabric is very nice, warm but not heavy, fit was good, liked the styling. Hated to send it back. What happened to quality control?

Didn't have enough room in chest but shoulder seams were correctly placed. With possible shrinkage over time, I wouldn't have been happy.

The sleeves on this full zip sweatshirt were too snug in a Petite Large.
Other than that, this was a fine garment, great zipper, good color.
I hope that the Design folks can add an inch in the Width of the sleeves for next year's model, length of sleeves was good.

I have this zip front sweatshirt in the rose color. I purchased a lilac one and am disappointed to find that it is 2" longer in the body (and a bit more narrow) and the sleeves than the one I already have. Everything I've purchased from Bean recently has been too long. I've had to hem Perfect Fit Pants in regular. The new printed split neck tunic was exchanged for petite due to being too long and the sleeves are too short now while the body length is good. I also purchased the new Feather Fleece and it too has to be returned because it's too long in the body. I've been a customer for over 30 years and am still the same 5'6" height. I've ordered replacements in the petite option and hope the garment proportion will fit as well as being shorter.

I loved this sweatshirt until I had to exchange it after only a couple of months because it was showing wear. The second one did the same thing, so I will not be ordering another.

Its way too big (I'm normally a size large, but this felt at least 2 sizes too big) and the arms/sleeves were crazy short. This was in the other reviews I saw online- unfortunately I only looked them up post-purchase. Overall, not the quality I would have expected from LL Bean. This felt like something I would have bought at a random souvenir shop if I desperately needed a sweatshirt and there were no other options.

Wanted to like this but 2 issues. One, the inside panels on the burgundy are white and it makes it look like it was pieced together from scraps. The other issue is after a few washes, the color has started to fade, especially on the seams and cuffs. The product looked very elegant in picture but the white panels were a disappointment. And for the price, expected higher quality fabric that wouldnt have faded after a few washes. Very disappointed.

The garment is well-made but VERY long for a regular size, as it came to below my buttocks and the sleeves were also very long. (I'm 5'5".) Because the petite is only two inches shorter, I did not ask for a replacement. If the measurements were easily available, I would have known not to order this.

I really wanted to like this jacket, but the body was too long in a medium petite (my usual size). The ribbed band at the bottom was below my hips and stuck out all the way around. It was weird. Sleeve length and fit everywhere else was fine. I couldn't have gone down a size. In addition, the item had been worn and probably washed and dried. It reeked of some kind of scent. Why it was resold is beyond me. The woman who who helped me at the store could smell it through her mask.

I liked this garment until I washed it. Despite washing in cold water on the gentle cycle, the color (dark blue) faded enough to notice. Considering that this "sweatshirt" costs $80 plus, I just can't recommend it.
