This was so warm and snuggly, like being hugged by your favorite teddy bear. I really wanted to like it, because it felt great to put on. But after only having it on a few minutes, it left some of its snuggliness on my shirt when I took it off. Also it was a bit too short (didn't cover my butt) and looked very boxy too. I exchanged it for the Luxe Fleece jacket which just came today, and that suits my needs a lot better. It is not quite as teddy bear-like in the snuggle factor, but pretty close, and it's longer and a bit cinched at the waist. I hope some day LLBean comes out with a high pile fleece jacket that doesn't shed, is a bit longer and has some shape.

Loved the look of the Frost Grey Heather and it's soft and cozy. I'm often between a Large and an X-Large, got the Large in this and it's big. It was big on me in the body, kind of unusual, but specially around the hem, it's stretched out, like the person doing the sewing didn't pull the lycra binding to keep it from stretching, but just stitched it flat and it did stretch around the hem, and flares out slightly. Not a good look on something this bulky. I really wanted to love it, but it's loose, it's flared and it's expensive. I looked at re-doing the hem binding, but too difficult. Sadly, I'm afraid it will probably go back...

Very comfy and cozy. Fit was good. Color (purple-plummy one) was very pretty. But I cannot get past the appearance of this fleece. I felt like I was wearing a bath mat.

I bought this in the store yesterday. I love the color ("Storm Teal"), and the fleece is soft and cuddly. After reading the reviews, I was expecting the size Small to fit, but the XS fit perfectly with extra room. It was not tight at all. The fabric is thinner than I had hoped for, but bought it anyway to give it a try. It is warmer than it looks like it would be, true to what the salesperson told me, but it sheds! I took it off at work and have little flecks of fleece all over my sweater. I'm not sure if I'll be keeping this jacket. I'd recommend it based on the softness and warmth, not on the quality. Would be more worth it at a sale price.

I loved everything about this soft cuddly jacket except that it was too hard to put on. Once on it was lovely, though a bit tight in the arms. Problem is when worn over my long sleeve cotton tee, the sleeves always grabbed the fabric of my shirt. This could work for someone with really skinny arms. I wish the sleeves were lined by something slippery, as I read on one of the men's hooded sweatshirt - "Taffeta-lined sleeves for easy on/off." If only . . .

This jacket is certainly warm. It does run small however.

I was excited to purchase this Hi-Pile fleece zip jacket in marine blue & its pullover version in gray. I'm 5'2", 108# and usually order a Misses XS. Based on reviews, I ordered a Misses Small. It fit well in the shoulders & sleeves & is smaller around in the body than the pullover, which was too large. The color is pretty & I like the zippered side pockets. The negatives are that the chest pocket is too small for a cell phone & the flap was badly puckered. I probably could have overlooked that, but the big issue is the elbow patches. They're huge! 8 inches long & look pretty strange like big patches of duct tape (according to my hubby LOL). It would have looked much better, & been just as functional, if the patches were only 4 to 5 inches long. Even my hubby gave it a thumbs-down, so back it goes, along with the pullover. Bummer.

Yes, this jacket is very, very, soft. It's cute and fits true to size. I like the shorter length. I ordered it in three colors. The first (sailcloth/ledge) arrived today. I expected the fleece to be very dense, especially since it supposedly was modeled after an L.L. Bean fleece worn on Mt. Everest in 1990. It isn't very dense at all. It would make a nice alternative to a cardigan in the fall, but I don't think that it would work well outdoors most winter days. HINT: For warmth, I think L.L. Bean's new luxe fleece jacket might be a better choice. (I ordered and received that one, too.) Also, the woven nylon elbow patches on the hi-pile fleece that I received today look wrinkled or puckered. I noticed this wrinkling/puckering of the nylon trim even in the catalogue and online photos. Maybe faux leather would have been a better choice for the trim? Well, I'll probably keep all of my new fleece jackets for wearing soon in the fall, but my old L.L. Bean 850 down jackets will come out for the winter.

Just received this jacket in the grey color with blue accents. The colors in the photo is very vibrant--it is very dull in person. The bag and jacket smell musty like they have been in a warehouse or shipping container for a long time. Not sure if I am going to keep it. I would have liked the jacket a little longer. We shall see.....

I was so disappointed in this jacket. It shed everywhere. I had to brush the clothes I had on when trying on. There was no lining. This was so below LLBean's standards.

This fleece is warm , soft, well fitted but sheds a lot on the inside, very noticeable if wearing a dark sweater underneath

If you are a true petite XS, this will not fit you. It was HUGE on me. Size down one or two sizes for a true fit.

I ordered an XS size in the mauve color which was nice. However, the jacket material was thinner than I had expected for the price and was baggy/shapeless around the bottom. So I returned it.

I returned it because, while the fleece was nice, but the collar fits like a turtleneck - it doesn't lay flat as a collar. It was uncomfortable - I don't like a high collar unless I'm really cold.

I received this fleece as a gift and had issues with the material and holes after a month of wear. I returned the fleece and tried a 2nd fleece because I wanted to love it so badly. This is very comfortable and warm. The issue is had with both was with areas where I would wear my seat belt or carry my work bag. The material gets matted down and develops a different texture. I wanted to love it, but sadly will be returning for the second time. This material is not for me.

It is not a solid grey, it's white and dark grey threads together and I did not like the look of it in person.

The jacket did not fit properly, the under arm area was too low in proportion to the shoulder area. Every time I went to lift my arms or to move them, the coat restricted my movements. When raising my arms the coat would rise to my hips. I was unhappy with this coat and returned it.

I would give this more stars if it weren't so expensive and was thicker/warmer. I guess I assumed this wasn't the average fleece jacket since it's called "Hi-piled" and is almost $100. Not the case. While it does fit well, its just a lightweight fleece and definitely nothing special for the price. I could've found cheaper and warmer fleece jackets for way less money. Also, one of the patches on the elbow lost its stitching and was ripping off before I even tried it on. I would've returned but I figure I'll take the patches off completely since I needed the jacket. Expected more for $100
