I bought this to wear in the house on cold days when you need to ward off a damp chill. Putting it on brings instant warmth and coziness, just like a big hug. It's great to throw on over a base layer, but since the inside is the same soft pile as the outside, I like wearing it next to my skin. The zip up neck is perfect for warmth - snug but not too tight. This has become one of my all time favorite Bean purchases.

This is a perfect cool weather jacket. It's light, but warm and is very comfortable. I'm very happy about it's purchase and would buy another.

This jacket is incredible. It is a little large and I plan on exchanging it for a smaller size because I want a bit more fitted. But everything else is amazing, it is so warm and so comfy. I could hang out on this jacket all day every day. I highly recommend.

I love the jacket. It is very soft and warm. It's roomy enough to fit over a shirt or turtleneck for warmth without sacrificing a good fit.

Just a word of advice, ensure you order the right size. I ordered up a size and thought it would be alright, after having taken the labels off. One sleeve cuff was way too tight, the other loose. I called LLBean and of course they will replace it as it was flawed. However, because I took the labels off, it is now mine. So now I own a way too big, flawed high pile fleece jacket that is no use because I can't get my hand through the cuff that is too tight. Don't make my mistake, keep the labels on the jacket, even though my order history shows I just ordered it 2 weeks ago. My mistake. It is a great jacket, if you get the right size. But my time with LLBean is up, everything I wear is from them but customer service isn't what it used to be. It still is a great jacket, I'm only just warning people not to make the mistake I made, LLBean won't help.

This is a beautiful jacket that I bought for my mother in law. She is normally a large but I bought a 1X so it would be more roomy. Well it wasn't really roomy. She asked me to return it for a 2X. So I would call the fit very close to the body. It fell at the hips for her and she is 5' 2". The quality is excellent and it is very soft.

I was thrilled to receive this jacket. It looks even better in person than online. The fleece pile is soft and warm. The fit is great with enough room to layer underneath and not feel constrictive. I have washed this several times over the past year and had no issues, continues to look as great as it did when I first received it.

I absolutely love my new hi-pile fleece jacket, I love it so much I just ordered two other colours. I was so warm the other day and I felt like my hi-pile fleece jacket was giving me a warm little hug. Absolutely love LLBean and all their products and now that I have these hi-pile fleece jackets, there is nothing more I need for this winter. Well, I will need a new ski jacket and of course, it will be from LLBean. Thank you for bringing these jackets back. I am one happy customer.

I bought this hi-pile fleece jacket last year and wore it almost every day throughout the winter. I wore it almost exclusively because it's so soft, comfortable, and lightweight but warm enough for the coldest days and not overly warm with a lighter shirt underneath on warmer winter days. I just ordered the same jacket in another color. My all-time favorite jacket!

Everywhere jacket. Fluffy fabric is extremely warm yet very lightweight. I'm 5' 4-3/4" tall, and it's long enough, low hip. Details are quality - smooth easy zipper, nice ribbon inside zipper, neat trim on sleeves and bottom edge. The pocket flap and matching elbow pads look better than I thought, a fun touch. Casual but stylish. Great muted aubergine color.

I now own 3 of these lovely & snuggly warm fleece jackets. My favorite way to wear them is all by themselves, nothing underneath. It's like being hugged all day. Once I discovered how luscious it felt next to my bare skin it was all over as an outer jacket! The medium fits best but I own large as well. Highly recommend for staying comfortably warm all winter long. They are flattering as well.

Soft, warm, lovely color, and washes beautifully. The cut is boxy, and it's on the roomy side, but that's fine because it fits over whatever I have on underneath.

I love this fleece! It is warmer than a regular fleece which I like. The high pile makes it warm enough for outside on milder days. I first bought the medium but it was too large so I returned it for a small which is large enough even for a sweater beneath,.

Beautiful color, I ordered the green, and very soft and warm. I love how it fits, with room for your inside clothes, without being bulky.

This fleece is amazing! I've owned various competitor fleeces over the past 15 years, and this is warmer and better quality. It also does an amazing job of cutting harsh winds. I've owned it for about 4 months and have found it to be my go to for everything, from running to the mailbox (it insulates well and really blocks wind) to running errands (I throw my license and credit card in the buttoned chest pocket & leave my purse at home or in the car). Everyone comments on how soft it is as well! It is so cozy that I often find myself wearing it when lounging around the house. I would highly recommend this item!

As I live in a drafty apartment, this jacket has been a go-to item for me. The hi-pile fleece is very thick and soft. As I am big-boned, I ordered a Large size to accommodate layering. The pockets are very roomy, As I have not yet worn it outside and it's not yet been washed, I can't comment on any results. I highly recommend this jacket. The color is dark green, and I have just ordered the salmon/pink jacket.

I love this jacket. I ordered a large petite because I am short. The sleeves are a drop short but the regular was huge in length. It is warm and cozy. Love it.

This jacket is wonderful. Incredibly soft and warm. Also retains its softness after washing (wash in cold water, delicate cycle, air fluff dry, no heat). Honestly, the best thing I've ever gotten from Bean's. They hit it out of the park with this one. I've worn it every day since it arrived....

Nice and warm and comfortable! Medium fit me very well. Seems pretty durable and doesn't shed.

Very warm and cuddly! It can be worn alone in fall and then under outer jacket in winter. I also wear it inside when it's chilly. I ordered L at first and then M which fits very well. I kept the L in case I want to wear it over something else.
