I have three LLB sweatshirts in XL-P. These give me lots of room (I don't like tight stuff). Since they are all very, very roomy, I thought I would try a large-P. For this large shirt, it was well made and the color very pretty, but the large was very tight; I could never wear a cotton turtleneck under it without looking like a sausage! Needless to say, it went back and I will order an XL -- probably in the green since I like the script lettering better.

Super cute to look at! But the material doesn't stretch at all. I would have returned but I got it on sale.

Was disappointed in this sweatshirt. Had one from years ago that I loved. That one fit so well and was so soft. This one is not as soft and the sizing is smaller.

Kinda nice, but disappointed about the 'hardiness' (quality of material) of this sweatshirt. The worst thing is that the NECKLKINE IS VERY SCOOPED...TOO LOW! HAVE to wear a turtleneck and be sure that it looks nice ... cuz it shows all where the scoop neck leaves so much room (for show)! Soft feeling, a bit smaller around the bust area.

Calling this a sweatshirt is a big of a stretch in my books. It's more like a heavy tee shirt. If you are wanting it for warmth, you'll need to layer under it. On the positive side, I love the look. I'm a decades long customer not someone looking to criticize the only thing ever purchased. Bean kinda dropped the ball here but it won't cause me to not order again.

the XL was smaller then I would think. It even shrunk in the laundry. But I can still wear it, I just like my sweatshirts looser.

Pros: I love this sweatshirt so much I purchased two after I bought my first one. Super soft and very warm. Perfect for a cold day in the 30-40 day walk outside you won't need a jacket if you a thin layer under. Too hot for 70's unless you are in the shade and older. The fabric is tight so it's not stretchy to be able to sleep in. Looks really nice and a classic sweatshirt. Cons: Sadly they both shrunk in length and width. I do have a couple other Llbean clothing and the sweaters don't shrink but I line dry them and the tees do. Bummed out they are tight now because I bought them just my size they look really nice, just was hoping they would be a little more loose like when they came. My husband bought me an extra one this Christmas, tonight I put my old one up to the new one and you can see it shrunk at least 2-3 inches on the side and some at the bottom as well. My advice is purchase it a size or two bigger than your size. That way when it shrinks you can have it the size you like. If you want it very loose buy maybe 2-3 sizes bigger.

This is a nice light sweatshirt but it runs really small. I usually take an XL but I couldn't even get this top over my head. The arms were also super tight and there's no way this is a traditional XL. Sadly it's going back.

Great sweatshirt. Not red lettering as it looks in picture, it's definitely an orangery brown color.

I wasn't crazy about the logo across the chest (but I wanted the cranberry colored sweatshirt), but this logo was even worse it was fuzzy and looked even more glaring. Please give the option to have all colors without the logo.

Disappointed that there was minimal/none elastic around the cuffs or hem...I don't care for this style.. couldn't tell from pictures. Returned it

The Xlarge fits like a medium and thin material. I was disappointed. I wanted a loose xlarge fit. LL Bean sizing seems small fitted and tight

I always wear a large but this one was too big. I got the blue and the color was dull and the writing was orange. It looked red in picture. Everyone knows that blue and orange look awful together . It just hung on me not flattering so I returned it.

I really liked the look of this sweatshirt, but the sizing is odd. I started with a large and it was too small in the shoulders, and I have narrow shoulders. So I returned it for an XL and it was too large at the bottom. It had an odd loose fit at the bottom that was way too loose and looked like a bell shape on me. I had to return it.

First, let me tell you that I have the cream "LL Bean" sweatshirt and love it. I have a size small and it fits well, with a little extra room as a sweatshirt should be (5'2"/97lbs.). I found the blue sweatshirt on the daily markdown and jumped at it, assuming the same high quality and comfort.... not so much. The blue version is not nearly as thick and plush as the cream sweatshirt. I ordered a medium just because I like "big." The sizing would be comparable to the small in the cream version. Note that the "red" LL Bean lettering is not actually red, but more orange, which I also found disappointing. All in all, I would not recommend this sweatshirt. It does not meet LL Bean's high standard of quality.

This would have been a 5 star review except for the sleeves. All the LLBean sweatshirts have these very narrow sleeves making them almost impossible to push up. My arms are a normal size for my height and weight, and my other sweatshirts have plenty of room in the sleeves. LLBean, we are busy!! We need to push up our sleeves, especially when working in the kitchen. Please give us more width in the sleeves!

I love the design logo on this sweatshirt and the soft material is warm and cozy. Unfortunately, it's runs small and is on the shorter side for a sweatshirt.

Loved the look, the material and the fit, but had to exchange it for a sweatshirt without a logo because I could feel the hardness of the logo on the inside of the sweatshirt against my skin. It was very uncomfortable. I hated to have to send it back.

I was VERY excited to get this one! The sweatshirt is such a classic. I wanted to love it and wear it everyday!!!! I am giving it the 3 stars because it is SO SHORT! If the shirt fell at the lower hip, it would have been absolutely perfect. Yes, it is super soft and well made-except for the length. I guess I was just looking for a bigger, cozy sweater. *I usually get a medium, but ordered a large, and it still was a bit small. There are other "sweatshirts" that I have ordered from here that are perfect.

I bought one Navy and one Sailcloth, both size large. The sailcloth fit well and was roomy. The Navy was considerably smaller in length and width. The arms were too tight. Holding them up back to back the navy looks closer to a medium, maybe even small. Poor quality control.

I have purchased 3 other sweatshirts from LL Bean so disappointed to find this cranberry color was no where near the comfort fit I had come to expect. This material had absolutely no give so when I tried it on it was hard to even get it over my shoulders even though it is the same size as the pink I ordered in Nov.. Also own the green & navy which I love but this was uncomfortable so not sure if this was just cut wrong & a fluke but I am returning.

I ordered the yellow after ordering numerous other colors. So disappointing!!! It was a cheap transfer instead of the logo being embroidered!!! They did not stay that!!! I did get it on sale so I'll keep it to work in the yard. Wouldn't wear it anywhere else..

I was looking for something cozy but not cropped. It's an average length but would have preferred a bit longer. I purchased a size larger, but it still fit closer than I would like. On the plus side, the color is very nice.
